Finished our install. 18,000 btu unit with 9000 btu for master bedroom, 12000 for living area that opens to foyer etc. It works wonderful. Very quiet, efficient and warms well. Temps in low 30’s so far and no issues keeping up. Happy so far.

I watched your 2 videos. I’m Installing this system, 18000 btu condensar, and 2 Indoor units. I also watched perfect aired video. Did you need to flare for your fittings. My unit came with fittings to fit onto indoor unit and outdoor but my lines are not flared. I have pieces that look like flared compression fittings. Did you flare your lines. Did you use Nylog refrigerant oil? Lastly, did you have to pressurize ? Is that necessary with pre loaded coolant?

A L Boy, I wish I could help you but I had the install it yourself or do it yourself version which meant that it had quick connect fittings so there was no flaring or pressurizing needed because of the quick connect fittings. Your kit will either need special tools for flaring and pressurizing or you’ll need to get a professional to come do the final hook ups I’m afraid. I wish you luck

Luckily I’m installing it with my dad. He will figure it out. I was just going over everything I’ll need. I bought mine on hvac direct as well. Have to check if it’s quick connect. It’s been sitting for 6 months waiting through home addition. Thanks for your reply.

@@al3645 If it is 2 indoor units it is not DIY. Good luck

Question? FC code. What does it mean? Just installed, everything working except unit upstairs. Unit kept shutting off so cleaned filter and unit stays on but blows cool air.

Call them right away to be sure. Did you make sure to back out the Allen headed plugs to release the flow of the refrigerant?

Make sure to press the reset button on the unit. Worst case, turn off the breaker and back on. Force a reset.

Yes hit reset but I guess I put it into auto/ cool function. It was blowing cool air. Pushed again quickly and it started to heat. I believe FC meNd filter clean although there’s no mention of this code in any of the manuals. Basically was stuck in FC since the start, hooked up 2 units. This one was stuck in FC so we thought it was electrical issue. Cleaned filter then reset it and it’s working fine now. I’m going to have to get used to this new unit. Foreign to me so far lol but was somewhat easy to install. Not a pre flared model. Now trying to get swing/ direct to work. A vid on that would be great, using the remote properly.

Figured it out. Still had issues with temp display being dim. Couldn’t change louver or direction but heat ran. FC must have meant faulty connection because when I jiggled wires near thermostat the display got brighter. So pushed connection there tighter, was loose and display brightened up. Now louver/ direction work, heat works etc. Long reply but figured it may help others that may have same issue.
