This hit me hard Chris. I lost both my dogs in 2023. Porter my 3 year old American bullweiler his intestines twisted and Samson went peacefully in my arms from literally old age. He was long haired wired haired daschund and was 13. I miss them every day. I'll be praying for booger. Lots of love from Michigan ❤️
You’re not dramatic at all, when it comes to our pets it’s a different kind of worry and anxiety because they can’t tell us what’s wrong. You’re such a good owner to both Booger and Worm❤️❤️ praying Booger gets back to her old self soon!
Dude. I would’ve LITERALLY passed out from the panic. My dog gets a bump and I lose it 🥺💔 especially when you don’t have kids… and your pup is your life… 😭 I’d legit probably take a bullet for my pup. I just can’t imagine dealing with this and pray to god that I never do 😔😔😔

I absolutely felt deep to my bones this video. We had the exact same thing happen to our beagle last year - an absolute nightmare and the one thing that really helped was those baby diapers that are like pants(not the peel/stick ones) and you only cut out place for the tail - much better and cheaper than dog diapers and constant washing up. Hope booger feels better soon and is back to her regular crate and sofa cuddling next to you ❤
Have never related more to something. I have been through this with one of my pups a few times. Absolutely traumatic. I'm glad booger is doing better.
Putting her meds in honey is GENIUS and I'm going to use this trick on my one dog who refuses to take meds without a fight. I'm so glad Booger is doing better, so scary!!
Thank goodness booger is ok ❤️❤️ our pets really are our whole entire world, so I’m glad you’re better now to! Can’t even begin to think of the emergency ER trips I’ve had with my own pets and the money spent 😭😭
I'm so sorry to hear about this. Pets being sick is one of the most stressful situations that I can think of! It's so hard when we want to know if they are doing okay because they don't speak English so you have no idea what's going on! I'm so glad to hear she's doing better.

As a dog owner who’s dog had this experience 3 times I can feel your pain especially since she will NOT swallow any meds without me having to freak out and force it. They can’t talk and when they look at you so sad and in pain is the actual worst 🥺 Good on you for being a great dog dad and I hope Booger feels better ❤️

This happened to me a couple months ago, but ended with my dog passing in my arms. Give yourself a grace period to recover. However long our dogs live, we make them happy every second of it. Thats far more than any of us can say lmao, they don’t pay rent and they don’t get their soul crushed by taxes. So try your best to find peace in that when things are tough.

Hi Chris! My dog has gastroenteritis flare ups like once a year. It is really scary but as long as you are able to get them to a vet and let them know their history they will be ok!! Hold in there, you guys got this!

chris, i wish i could give a hug and tell you what an incredible dog owner you are. the way you took initiative with booger's treatment likely saved both if you immeasurable amounts of pain. i'm a cvt in pa and also own pitties. i truly admire your canine husbandry and i want you to know i watch all your videos and i listen to every episode of unhinged. i don't know you personally but through getting to know you parasocially i believe that you dedicate your life to your animals and put them before everything including your career. that is rare, admirable and i applaud you. the relationship you have with your dogs is natural and beautiful, thank you for being a good dog owner. also, thank you for referring to the technician staff as nurses. people who have a platform like you who refer to us as nurses helo us achieve the financial compensation we deserve. i hope that you, booger and worm continue to feel better and return to normalcy. Recommend a stash of doggie diapers to catch any accidents until you can get to her. Minimizes clean up if you can find one that fits ok. Feel better Booger!

Our rescue pittie had to have bilateral TPLO’s(14k), and a mast cell tumor (4k because a liver issue popped up) removed so I feel your pain. Get insurance if you have none.
You should never feel dramatic for crying over a creature you love. The first vet i saw about about my dogs seizures told me not to worry and it was common but once we’d medicated for over a year and he was still having cluster seizures they realized he had a brain tumor and he was having seizures even under full sedation. At that point other vets were like “this is very rare, he’s only 4 and we can’t help him” my point is that it can go from a bad situation to a catastrophic one in a matter of minutes and worrying is what you should do if you care
I agree, didn’t think I would loose my baby, and it happened that night of me thinking nothing was going to happen. Much love to everyone grieving. We are all going through it, 💔

I also have 2 dogs and my fair share of ER vet visits. The most recent being my 8 year old boy tearing both ACLs. Who knows where the energy comes from but you just gotta keep going for them.

Assuming you ended up at the Dover ER?! We were there over the weekend too! My 3 dogs literally had the SAME thing! Started with my 14 year old Pomeranian bichon. I literally thought it was the end but now they’re all thriving 😅

Having had a fur baby (unfortunately she passed from cancer about 4 yrs ago) that suffered long terrible grand mal seizures the last couple yrs of her life, I know just how terrifying it is when our babies are sick or hurting, and you just feel so completely helpless. No matter how good you may think you are in a crisis, when it comes to our loved ones (human or fur) going thru a scary health crisis, even the most stoic of us can turn into a blubbering fool. I’m normally the one to calm any situation, but when we were going thru her seizures and then her cancer, it was like I was a different person. Thankfully my late husband (who in a crisis was usually the one running around like a chicken w/ it’s head cut off, lol) stepped up when I couldn’t. He passed unexpectedly in 2022 and I miss them both so much, but I take some comfort in knowing they’re together again 💜
when i first got my kitten, did not expect to have a roller coaster of 2 nearly death experiences in a row. literally rocking her little body in 2 of my palms. but everything is okay now and i’m so so glad Booger is too.

Chris, I’ve absolutely been there. My girl Ruby has the absolute most sensitive stomach. If she eats anything out of the norm I’m guaranteed to be woken up every two hours throughout the night to give her a bath. I was also given the same advice “chicken and rice” never listened to that because from my own experience it made the situation X10 worse. I just continue feeding her her normal kibble and it clears up the symptoms WAY quicker. I’m glad miss bugger is doing better, I’m a single dog dad of two myself. I feel your pain lol LOVE YOU

I’d recommend sensitive or allergy specific foods! Our dog had blood (a lot) sporadically in her stool for weeks just because we didn’t realize she had food allergies causing sooooo much inflammation. We cook a lot for her meals but we still use a little carna4 kibble.
I swear by carna4 and blood/hair allergy tests

Oh this brings up so much trauma. My dog bless her heart 12, also threw up blood. She has something in her system, got meds she’s good now. But oh I feel your stress and I’m only a minute into the video. Sending prayers.

Been fostering pitties for over a decade... my soul dog rescue just passed last year after 10 years with me. She was diabetic, had thyroid cancer surgery, went blind and towards the end had either pancreatitis or something worse. My life was her insulin and blood sugar checks, she even had a libre device. The vet cost me her life with negligence and because of how i lost her, I've never been the same since. I know the feeling of midnight trips to the ER vet all too well. Cleaning up rancid smelling accidents every 15 minutes, and terrified your dog could be dying. All i can say is sadly, from years in rescue, many people would be mean to their dogs when they were this sick, or abandon them as a result. Yup, that's the world we live in. So I'm grateful beyond words you love booger like you do and that you give her the love and care she deserves. Even when it's really... really hard on you. The way you treat animals is a look into your true character (which is why Chris Pratt should be mounted on someone's wall like the animals he's trophy hunted). I love who you are because of how good your heart is, and your dogs are 2 of very few lucky ones on this earth.
Why should Chris Pratt be mounted on a wall for that? Im no hunter,hate the whole idea of hunting,but hes lived a 180° different life than we have & its a whole different way of thinking just like many life choices or life styles are.

One of the biggest breakdowns of my life was when my dog was recovering from surgery with loads of stitches. She was in so much pain. There's no way I would've been able to look after her by myself, ur so strong xoxo

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!!! If this continues, my brother's dog dealt with similar and ended up having issues processing cortisol. ALSO, chicken is actually an allergen for a lot of dogs so that might have actually triggered more inflammation in her GI tract as well.

Having dealt with a urinary blockage in our first cat (rip to my old man baby), where he peed and it was like a blood explosion in our bathroom and /I/ exploded into tears, i feel you Chris. This is how i know i could never be a mother. My kid would be bubble wrapped. I'm so glad Boog is okay!

Hoping it gets better for you and Booger! 💕 I have a little west highland terrier, Cuddles, and she has the same issues with pooping blood and occasionally puking blood (caused by ulcers). It's hard to deal with, but they're with it. ❤ (despite gagging during any clean-up of the ass or carpet 💀) You're lucky though your pup isn't a picky eater! My dog goes as far as to pick the crust off of her bread, refuses to eat rice, and only eats beef, she's spoiled or whateva. 😭😂

oof i'm so sorry! & can relate (been crying a lot lately) my senior dog is on his 14th week of antibiotics... started with a nasal infection of e-coli (bc he likes to eat 💩) mersa & staff...got rid of that but then he has strep...got rid of that & NOW he not only has two new visitors in his noes but ALSO last night he scratched the shit out of his eyeball!!! so he has an infection there as well... went to the vet for that today came home & now he's throwing up & crapping everywhere....I go back to the vet tomorrow for my other senior dog bc he has a growth on his skin.... & i still need to schedule my youngest appt to get fixed! like you said, i feel so alone...

Im so glad buger is ok! I woulda had a major melt down too😅
I had to put my soul dog down on Monday and I'm so lost. This helped not feel so alone. Sunday i took her to the emergency vet for her being very lethargic. Found out she had a tumor on her spleen. Within 18 hours she was in the vet to put her down.
Thank you for making me feel less alone. I'm glad boogers story has a better ending!

What kind of food do you feed booger?
A lot of the vets are in denial about what's going on with the dry kibble because the companies can't issue recalls until they go through a bunch of ish... I'm still trying to find a good food for my pups, thankfully no diarrhea or blood here.
We had an issue with our 8 month old puppy where she was shitting blood and the emergency vet was like “no big deal” sent us home and then we went back the next day when it didn’t stop. Turns out she had inflamed intestines (same thing Booger had) and we were worried she had a blockage. It was terrifying and we didn’t know if she was gonna get better. So please don’t ever feel bad about doing what you need to do for your animals.
BTW we never figured out what happened to our puppy, but the medication she was out on helped and she hasn’t had any issues since thank Jesus.
$3k later 😭😭😭
