Them laying in boogers bed together would have sealed the deal for me that was ADORABLE
yeahhhh it kinda did
@@chrisklemens congrats on the new family member! You’re a great dog dad 🥺💕
Honestly! A huge step right away for both of them.
Congrats!
Honestly! A huge step right away for both of them.
Congrats!
Yes!!
Don’t forget Booger was a mom who had to leave her puppies- so this is probably filling a hole in her heart ❤
STOOOOOOP IT!!!! IM CRYING!!!!😭😭😭😭
It breaks my heart when mommas have to leave their babies, even when it’s for the best. Just showcases how important it is to spay and neuter animals so they don’t have to go through such hard experiences.
SOBBING now
STOPPP
omg momma boogs 😢
Female pets are always under-adopted but they’re the best in my opinion. My girl is the best dog I’ve ever had, loyal and good at communicating her feelings with me lmao
I love girl dogs
All three of mine are girls!! Two are litter mates that I got at the same time, can’t imagine it any other way
@@chrisklemensi will be getting a girl dog as my first dog probably one like booger bc she's so perfect and rescues are always so full of personality
Can’t wait to see the ‘24 spring fashion line that you roll out for booger and kiko🐾🐾congrats on the new addition, Chris!
meanwhile i got two big cats one an outdoor cat we rescued and we goin thru it 😭😭😭
At the vet we usually go by the 3-3-3 rule. It takes 3 weeks to get out of their fear stage, 3 months to get really settled, and 3 months after that to really get her personality ❤️ give yourself and her some grace and time!!
NOT AT ALL!!
My world opened up when I brought home my second. And my first dog blossomed in the best way.
Two is so so so much better than one.
This is me but 4 dogs later😂 living in the country is not my favorite but I’m happy to have the space for all my babies
@@dandavids769 oh as soon as I am no longer renting, I will be getting more 🥰🥰
Getting a second rescue is always so overwhelming as they settle in, but so so rewarding and worth it!! So happy for your little family 🥹
BOOGER'S GETTING A SIBLING?!?!
Your Mom is amazing, she gives great advice Chris!
I recently adopted a 14mth old Lab who needed a new home and your nerves and uncertainty are exactly what I felt. So glad you decided to keep her!
it might be difficult at first but she seems sooooo sweet and happy and the fact that her and Booger get along so well is super promising!! dogs are social creatures and having a friend will be good for both of them❤
It’s so wonderful to see someone experience all the emotions, not just show the cute highlights. It’s bringing me right back to when I rescued my dog and it’s so nice to see someone being real about it. You’re such a good dog dad and this pup and booger are so lucky.
First month with a second dog was so hard for me, I cried every day thinking I made a mistake but it just takes time for everyone to settle in to their groove. I’m so glad I pushed through that month cause she’s the BEST and the pups get along so well together.
The second she showed interest in Booger, I was done. I'm so glad you decided to keep her. You're going to be the perfect 2 dog dad.
Really proud of you being so in tune with your emotions and doubts. You’re a great dog dad, she deserves such a loving home. Good for you.
Fellow rescue mom here! You’re doing so good. It’s hard, overwhelming, and demanding as fuck. Keep taking it day by day! Sending your extended family all the love😂💗
getting a friend for booger will be so good trust me! we got a puppy and he really made the last 2 years of our 15 yr old pugs life so happy and exciting. booger will adjust and love having a bestie 🫶🏻
Boogs and Keeks! Thank you for opening your home to another rescue pet in need. She seems to be settling in great and can’t wait to see more of you all together! ❤
I remember when I got my second kitten, he was an absolute nightmare child fir the first several months. I was constantly breaking down, bawling my eyes. But I loved him so much and I would never give up a pet regardless of how tough it got. Now he's 2 and a half and just the best boy ever I could have ever asked for. Safe to say though, I'll never get another baby animal again ahaha
My first rescue (1.5 year old female) came from a very very bad place and she was absolutely terrified of everything. The amount of times I cried in the first month, because I didn’t know what to do, was crazy. It took almost 1 year for her to get out of her shell completely. Stay strong, it will all be worth it in the end and you will have a second best friend ❤️
It's normal to feel overwhelmed! And as much as its a huge adjustment for you, it's also a huge adjustment for Booger & Kiko so everyone needs time ❤ when I got my second dog the first two weeks were SO tough, but now I'm so glad we stuck it out. Shes the sweetest and brings so much joy to my family & I'm pretty sure my dogs love each other more than me now ❤
The way her and booger were just instantly besties I’m CRYING
For them to immediately be sleeping next to eachother??? SHES A KEEPER
Coming from someone with three rescues, it takes a minute but they will adjust to your routine and behave similar to Booger just with different quirks! Rescues are so unappreciated, especially pitts and it just makes me so happy to see you taking a huge step for you and Booger. This quote always sticks with me, " To us, our dogs are only a small part of our life. But to them, we are their whole life" Thank you for sharing this part of ur life with us
Well done on rescuing her, I'm sure you know that the feeing of rescuing a dog is unmatched and so worth it
You should go and interview people outside the Scientology Hollywood center at night. That's the biggest thing happening in LA these days. There's always a big crowd protesting it every night.
bringing a rescue into your home is never a mistake! thank you for opening your home and family to another vulnerable little baby🥹😭
We got our 1 year old rescue in June, he was kinda crazy puppy energy in the beginning but quickly caught on to the vibes of the house and is way more chill now. Kiki is adorable!! So happy for you all.
Thank you for accepting this sweet baby after she lost her owner!!! 🙌🏻😞 You can see the sadness in her eyes in those pictures. Not knowing where she is or where her family is. 😢 I am always so scared of that happening and even more scared of what would happen to my pets after I pass. You never realize how many pets are left behind when their families pass away. I hope she feels loved and accepted by y’all. She deserves it. ❤
Edit: Kiko is such a cute name 🥹😭
dogs really let you do anything once they feel safe🥰
Having 2 dogs is always better than 1. She’s adorable Chris! ❤
Chris!!! When we got our second those first 3 weeks were so hard. Our first dog would not even LOOK at his new brother. Also, like Kiko, our second one has major anxiety. But almost two years later, it has been the best decision ever. They are two peas in a pod and our little family is so complete with him 😊
I love having 2! They definitely keep each other company. My girl is 3 years older than my boy and the day he came home and met her will always be one of my favorite moments
Another animal is never a mistake🤩🤩🤩 unless if something happens💀
I can relate too much to the stress you must be feeling during the first weeks with your new rescue. I have a rescue as well and it is very challenging. I'm so happy you decided to keep her!
Her shaking in the car made me wonder if she was scared because she didn’t know where she was going and if she’d get to go back to her new home or a new place or new person. Her little heart went through so much change so suddenly.😭😭😭😭
Chris, you remind me of myself when I had my second son (got my second dog, lol). Every emotion you felt, all of your worries over Booger still loving you are all the emotions I felt. Just tells me you’re the best dog dad. So proud of you and absolutely love watching your little family grow! ❤
New furbabies can be overwhelming and sometimes tiring, i think maybe reintroducing crate training could help with her crate anxiety! I know you’re the best dog dad so you know what’s best for your babies! Booger is doing amazing!! She knows she’s still your baby, having a good trainer by your side that can answer all your questions and concerns might help make this transition easier for everyone! So far it looks like they’re doing amazing, having a multi dog household can be a lot and changes can happen over time! So excited for you and your new sweet baby! ❤️
The audacity to make me tear up at noon! The first tail wags gahhhh
CHRIS… they are SOUL MATES
It truly warms my soul to know you and your mom can have that relationship where you can just hit her up to come over and can just vent to her, cause a gem like you deserves to have an outlet🥰
Loved watching this! I may have cried a few times with you!! You’re an AMAZING dog dad and the girls are lucky to have you!
It’s a lot. She’s been through a lot in a year and I’m so glad you and booger found her ❤
Literally was just praying for something to watch ty blessed
Remember that while you may be giving Kiko a lot of attention, Kiko is also giving Booger attention, too. The girls will love on each other as much as you love on them. Love all around, it'll be such an amazing journey to watch them grow to love each other so SO much. ❤
Changes are always stressful, but huge plus on no potty accidents indoors! ❤ They are so adorable together too ❤
My second is a rescue. He came with all the rescue dog issues 😂 it’s been a challenging 3 years, but man watching him thrive or overcome something that was an issue or trigger for him is SO rewarding. I’m so excited for your new adventure with booger & new baby!!
this video really warmed my heart🥺🥺a change like this can be hard at first but end up being so rewarding❤️
Keep chugging through Chris! Rescues take time to adjust, mine was absolutely terrified of me to the point where i thought she HATED me. It took a lot of patience but she finally came around this month
She’s absolutely precious. Congratulations!!!
Chris, a proud parent of two🥰
Lol I cannot believe u took her to the vet, you are so generous… your compassion for animals is so amazing, Chris! I haven’t finished watching the video but she needs to be yours.
i have cats and felt the same thing you did getting a second, and i regret not getting a second SOONER because my first one really opened up more, and blossomed, and loves being an older brother. congrats on your addition, and thank you for sharing ur beautiful family!!
They are so lucky to have you! This vid is soooo refreshing, having rescued a pup… it was really hard at first!! But now it’s absolutely insane to imagine life without our Kiwi pup. She has grown so much, and we have all grown from loving her. We have a cat already and they did not get along at all at first, I had a lot of grief about how it was affecting our cat - you talking about how it would affect Booger was so real. Now they are best friends. Seriously. And they didn’t start off lounging together and being so sweet like your two!!! I love your vulnerability, honesty, and who you are - they’re so lucky to have you as a dog dad!!! 💕❤️💕❤️💕
Having two sassy ladies in the house is NEVER a problem. They are beautiful ❤❤❤
i just had to take my rescue pup to the vet several times due to him unable to eat and throwing up. i really felt for u on that part. when my pup got better i realized how serious of an impact he has on my life. they are family and absolutely everything. loved watching ur family blossom and can't wait to see more of kiko
Congratulations on expanding your family Chris and Booger (and Jackie)! Rescue is so rewarding and I’m so happy you gave her a chance ❤❤
LMAO I’m Icelandic and “Kiko” sounds like how we pronounce “kúkur” which means poop in Iceland ❤ fits in with her sisters name booger
WHY AM I CRYING THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE THING!? The suspense on what you were going to do to the decision to keep her had my sobbing. Enjoy the new adventure, you’re amazing and it’ll be worth every single moment.
This is the most genuine video I’ve seen of yours in a while
I love you, you are the nicest bestest sweetest human being doing this. Bless the pups❤
Congratulations! As a canine behaviorist- I was super happy to see some really awesome words of advice in the comment section!
Per the crate- I would highly recommend investing in the collapsible Impact crate. With the traveling you do- and a dog who has broken out of one- I cannot express just how much you will love it! It is what I recommend to my clients - with training of course and work on separation anxiety- as they are incredibly safe but also help a dog to feel more secure. I personally have a medical alert service dog who I travel with and the fact that it is so sturdy, I can check it on flights, and it comes with a locking system just really sold me on that particular model from them.
I love that someone mentioned the 3-3-3 rule too- it takes a lot longer than people realize for acclimation and I am glad to hear that you understand that and are so committed! Congratulations on your beautiful addition to your family!
I love this so much for you, Chris! And all three of you will surely love it too once Kiko is all settled in and calmed down a bit.
Congratulations on your new edition! I got my second when my first was 6. There were times it was really overwhelming and I questioned if it was the right decision. I also felt bad for my first, worried he would feel neglected. This is all normal! Before you know it you won’t be able to picture life without Kiko!!! It’s going to be great ❤
When you were sitting on your kitchen floor and started crying. I felt that, as a mother that is some of the same loops you go through in the beginning 😅
Any dog with you or any animal is never a mistake ❤ best fur parent ever
I experienced a similar situation this year with my new rescue. It was really hard at first and also thought I wasn’t cut out myself for having two dogs at once. Had to remind myself to just be very patient and that it was just a moment of growth.
omg seeing this after you announcing the new dog at your philly show makes me giggle so much
you are giving her a good and loving home that she deserves! questioning if you are capable of doing the right thing if the first/most important question when adopting an animal so good for you for not just jumping into a decision without giving it good thought!
Eeeeeee so exciting! I have two pups, the second is a rescue with some major behavioural issues. He’s the sweetest loving most trouble making crazy silly boy. It’s been a year and a half and some days feel like the hardest of days… but the days and moments in between are worth every dang second. I take them for one on one dates lollll but in all seriousness it’s great to bond with the younger one and so special to love on my boy who it used to just be us. You got this Chris 🥰
Omg Kiko and Booger, how cute 🥺❤ your fear of booger feeling not important is so relatable. Ive had my second cat for 3 years and still sometimes i get that fear. But animals can definitely feel and tell how much you love them!! And Booger acccepted her sister incredibly quick so I bet things will be okay for you guys
She’s ADORABLE and seems so sweet!!
Love you sharing the reality. When I adopted I cried to my sister and was like what do I do. She was like this is normal lol it totally is.
Congratulations on rescuing baby Kiko, you deserved that wine! ❤
ahhhh congrats on your new baby! We have 2 rescues, and while it's deeeefinitely an adjustment to add a dog in, getting a 2nd dog was amazing for not only us but also our first dog. She is so much more content and playful now that she has a fur buddy in addition to her people. Booger and Kiko are going to do great!
Ahhhhh family expanding so cute!!! ❤
SHE IS SO FLIPPING ADORABLE!!❤
Aww congrats Chris! 🩷 Kiko is so adorable, & her and Booger look like they'll be the best sisters! 🐶🐶💕 Much love💗💗💗
This is so exciting for you!!! I just recently lost my girl dog 3 weeks ago, and she was honestly the best! We had a rescue pit lab already and had no plans on getting a 2nd one, but somehow we ended up looking at our local no kill shelter and just had to Forster her as a pup. Of course,we saw her and she was the most unexpected but it was the most exciting day ever. It is a lot to have 2 dogs, but I’m telling you every second of the hard times is so worth the amount of love the 2nd dog brings. Not only that, but the dogs get so acquainted and it’s amazing and helps with dogs anxiety to have a companion. Now that my girl is gone, there’s like a missing piece. Trust me, the first few months are going to be hard, but with consistency and her getting more close with Booger will make you feel so whole!! So happy for you and it warms my heart ❤️ Exciting to see your journey!
this is as so heartwarming, i’m so happy booger has a play mate and you have twice the love chris ;)
OMG I love Kiko so much already! So happy for you and excited to see future vids of you, Booger and Kiko. With your love and care Kiko will be the best for you and Booger. I saw her in the Saltburn vid, but waited & wanted to see if you announced another new princess. So happy for you!💜
Oh my gosh, first of all she’s SO cute. Congratulations!! Second of all I work as a licensed vet tech in rescue at my local SPCA, and just want to thank you for doing everything right. You gave her time to adjust and took her to the vet when she needed it. It may sound basic but it’s really important!! I love your little family and love the addition 🥹🥹🥹🥹 there was a kitten at work who passed away and her name was Cindy Lou so that hit home. It’s really so precious to see Booger with another dog, and to see them be so okay so quickly is a sign it was meant to be. ❤️🫂
Congratulations to you and those two lovely babies! Boogie will get used to having a sibling around, so try not to stress. It's a learning curve. Love to you and your growing family ❤
Ugh Chris I am on the same boat! Getting a second pup was not what I expected at all, it’s been more overwhelming than anything else and my first dog doesn’t like her lol so not fun at all. But I also talked to my mom, she said the same thing to me and made me realize that I love her and thank god she is with a family that will do anything for her. She is currently having health issues and that is another stress but I can’t think of anyone else having her and not taking care of her as she should be. It’s a lot of emotions but their happiness is the priority. You can do it Chris and thank you for talking about this because it’s so guilt ridden. We got this!
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to get a rescue. I just got a puppy from a breeder (I’m allergic to most dogs) and I can’t imagine trying to do this with a dog who must be so stressed and scared of a new situation after a year of life. Real props to you Chris.
She’s beautiful! Congratulations on your new baby ❤️❤️
As someone ass deep in rescue, may in just say.... thank you VERY much for being selfless and patient enough to weather the storm and cope through her initial adjustment. Nobody knows how her life was before, but at very least, endured trauma from her owner dying and subsequently leaving her abandoned in this world. Every day all day, people dump dogs for even less than you considered it for, and if they cared enough to just have compassion and get through the first few weeks, they'd see how easy it is for dogs to acclimate and learn the ropes. So thank you so... so much, for not being an average cretin and just walking out on her when she was a challenge. Thank God she was still loved and safe while she was sick and likely scared of being abandoned again. I'm subscribing because of this video and girl, i think i love you
She's so cute!! Congrats, Chris! You've got this 💓
I have always regretted not having a companion for the dogs I’ve had in my life. I just think it could be so much more fulfilling for them to have a forever friend that’s not a human. Even more so now with the dog flu/virus it would be great to have another dog in the household so I could still feel like my girl is socializing without the risk of catching something at the dog park.
Congrats on your new baby! Kiko is adorable! ❤
I just got a rescue dog around Thanksgiving :) Although she's an only child this reminded me so much of our first couple weeks together....I still get emotional when I have to leave her because I don't want her to think I'll abandon her like her previous owner. Sending our love to your expanding fam
OMG I AM SO HAPPY FOR MORE PUPPY CONTENT
Can't wait for more pup vlogs!
My jaw dropped & I swear couldn’t close it until you panned away from Keeks in Boogers bed(hope I didn’t butcher the names?) while under your desk…literally the cutest fur babies ever. You’re an angel Chris! Love you 😘 🐶 🐶
Those first 3 months are insane! Bur you've got this; her and booger are the luckiest to have you and each other,
Your adoption vlogs for booger and kiko are such a real look at dog ownership. It’s HARD. With a puppy, your guard won’t be down for years. And it’s frustrating. And it’s really vulnerable but responsible pet adoption to share this on camera. Any first time pet parent or thinking about this needs to see this.
This was the best video I’ve ever seen IM SO GLAD YOU KEPT KIKO
"Working girl secretary outfit".....LOVE! Yes, I *LOVE* getting warm/ practical/ cute outfits for our doggies 💝 Yup, I feel ya on the potty training. Awww.....look how HAPPY she is, all snuggled up on your couch !!!! Booger has a friend now! (I don't know if you have a pet-sitter or you board Booger when you're gone, but either way, how sweet that they'll be togetherrr!!!)
Thanks for showing your real moments of concern and being overwhelmed rather than just the excitement of a new addition, it’s a big decision and we all feel like we can’t or shouldn’t do it sometimes, but it’s usually worth it 😁
I had 2 cats growing up named booger and goober. 😢 so cute
I wanted to let you know that when we first got our one dog (she’s 11 now) she ate through her cage, and ate the door frame off of our back door. But now she is an absolute angel. It just takes time and a lot is anxiety! You’re doing great, thank you for saving her!
They are so precious together I love this 😭😭😭😭
