I am just so sad we didn't get to see one of Blake's gorgeous looks with this theme.
I literally just got home from work, Chris roasting celebrities is the best way to wind down
I feel like with this theme, things could've been so much worse. But I was actually so presently surprised by how much most people pulled it off. Yes there were some bad looks, but overall very good execution of the theme blended with personal, modern day style. Especially compared to recent years where them was so heavily ignored

yeah worst theme ever - this man literally said the holocaust was a lie among other things, I wish more folx used their looks to protest it or do the opposite of it, or if the carpet was pink somehow hehe

this was actually one of my favorite met galas, like Kylie Jenner was so boring but I feel like most people actually understood the theme and looked beautiful

Ehhh as much as I love black and white, at least she wore red which might be a reference to chanel red and blue from the 1990s/2000s….? Dress could’ve been better but it was tailored to the Gods so I’ll give them that
Might’ve been boring but Kylie looked absolutely beautiful and more importantly was actually very much on theme this year.
Would l love a part 2 since there were so many outfits besides these OR a review of the after party looks!

On Cara's outfit choice it's funny you mentioned bedsheets and she being close to Karl. He mentioned in an interview that he had his bedsheets and nightshirts washed daily. I will always remember Karl for his white shirts, powdered hair and black gloves.

I usually don't do this, but being Asian and May being Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month in the US, I just want to give Liu Wen (black structural gown with white tulle flowers flowing out at the hem), a very famous Chinese model, her props! She was called "China’s first bona fide supermodel" by the NYT and is widely regarded as the first "Asian Supermodel". She was the first Chinese model to walk the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the first East Asian spokesmodel/person for Estée Lauder, and the first Asian model to make Forbes's annual "Highest-paid Models" list, making it into the Top 5 Highest Paid. In 2017 (SHOCKING how recent that is), Liu became the second Chinese model to ever appear on the "cover" of American Vogue, and the first to be ACTUALLY featured on the front cover (the first was in the foldout). haute le mode, mina le, then YOU. we were fed this met gala. with being said, i love that haute le mode gives us the educational purposes of these fashion looks, then mina le who does the same but moreso w her personal opinons, and then you just meet in the middle especially with your funny ass commentary that makes me actually laugh out loud. I ESPECIALLY LOVE, that you regconize a whole lot more ppl than these others usually do and i love that for us and applaud you. cause why was no one talking about ANOK LIKE WHAAAAAT. Jenny Kim's is honestly my favorite. It's simple to me but not in a bland way. It gives me the theme but also makes me think of prom (but maybe that's just because my little cousin went to hers over this past weekend). I sort of feel like her shoulders are so naked it can be distracting, to the point I feel she should have a shawl or some sort of short cloak but at the same time I feel like that could kill the look.
