Bit of a controversial topic… but let me know what you think…
Some but I don’t want be forced something I want like race lobby drive no assist if u ask me it stupid but it make better sure right…. Not for me some tracks and right combo I do fairly well
@JustHunGaming try abs weak than default it bit quicker who know if u do research it
Do what you need to do to have fun, and not harm other drivers,
@@JeffWeselyan ABS off fully, tune in brake balance and suspension to minimise lock up, then ABS default back on. Every other assist turned off, inc. the counter steer assist
I use assists bc om not top tier skills and I'm old with arthritis, they make me faster and much cleaner/safer driver.
Totally agree with you, everyone should use what they feel comfy with. Its a game at the end of the day and everyone is welcome to have fun in their own way - assist shaming is pathetic, and if someone can run without, then fair play to them, it takes some genuine skill.
Personally I use braking markers a fair bit, but like you, I use it as a reference marker for my own braking points. Not easy to remember braking points for every class of car on every track and variation.
I think you should use the settings that make the game the most fun for you {and your audience). You always run well and have won a lot of races. The limited assists you use can't be slowing you down too badly.
This! Thank you 🫶🏻
You are amazing being that quick with poor eyesight! Very inspiring x
Thank you 🫶🏻
One of my favourite quotes from 'Women Don't Owe You Pretty' by Florence Given (well worth a read) is: 'when it comes to judging other people, ask yourself if what they are doing is affecting you. If it isn't, we must learn to move the fuck on with our lives'
A lot of social media know-it-alls should take this on board.
100% agree
A similar great quote from the TV Show Ted Lasso "be curious, not judgemental" - learn why people do what they are doing, and understand their perspective, rather than assuming you know all and casting your own ideas on them.
I love this! 👌🏻 I’ve never understood why people have such a problem with something that doesn’t affect them???
I honestly don’t care 😂😂
It's selfish though, it's not always only about you but children or people around.
@@beardedlonewolf7695 don't use assists because, think of the children??
Use what you want Hun, I use corner markers, TC2, I have a few extra bolts on my rig that vibrate when the TC cuts in, so I know when I am pushing to hard, sometimes I use a wheel with clutch pedals that are mapped to brake and gas, so I can brake with my left hand and use my foot on the accelerator
Assists are there to be used, why people get annoyed because someone is using assists is bonkers
Badger, I’m in awe of you and your ability! 🫶🏻 not to mention you’re so quick!
I use ABS (weak or whatever is called) and TC1 or no TC depending on the car and type of road, for visual assist I like to use the brake indicator, the one that flashes in red, it helps me when I don't know every corner of the track. I don't know, use whatever you feel confortable with and helps you enjoy this hobby.
Just have fun is the most important part, remember it's a game👏
Exactly! It’s all about enjoying the game 👌🏻
Nothing wrong with using them, the assist are they to help folk who need them, opens the game up to more people. Your videos are fun 😊
Thank you 🫶🏻
I use TC2 & same break markers as you use due to my personal circumstances. I am aware TC2 slows me down slightly but not enough for me to worry about at all.
It's just a game pick whatever works best for your circumstances and what's fun.
Don't worry what other folks think or say it's not up to them how you play your game.
THIS! As long as you’re happy and enjoying it, that’s all that matters! 🏁
I always use ABS, corner markers, and braking zones. I don't know the tracks well enough, and my attention wande.... ooo a shiny.... aaaaand we're on the grass inappropriately rubbing Barry R.
If in a powerful or twitchy car in a race, will use a touch of TCS and/or ASM just for stability. It may slow me a little, but prefer that to murdering my opponents if I lose control.
Yeah there is a unnecessary stigma attached to this game with assists we are all different and should be allowed to enjoy the game to the point where we enjoy it the most you do you hun and enjoy the way you want to play it
Never known or seen the importance for assists from this point of view. Respect!
Thank you 🫶🏻
I use ABS, some times on weak for Quali, but usually default. There are relatively few cars I will drive without TC. For racing I use TC1/2. No break markers or racing line, no stability or auto drive.
i nly play asseto corsa on pc but most servers and leagues have assists set to factory so race cars with tc and abs will have them which you can adjust on the fly while on track like the real thing. gt3 cars use a tc1, tc2 and abs irl so it makes sense for the cars to run them
You were only 0.5 off with that last lap, I reckon you could match it. You do you though. Love your content.
Do no assists in time trial, (except abs but try both weak and default also use the braking indicator instead of the braking area to see all the track better) because you know your brake markers already.
Use your assists during the race , i.e, tc1 brake area and corner indicator, because of distractions and traffic and brain farts.
😅
Current WEC rules have ABS on Gt3 and no ABS on HYP cars. Previously they didn't have ABS on all groups.
Don't pay attention to what others think, use the game as and how you wish and if people don't watch you because they don't like that, too bad. You do a good job and have an interesting POV. Keep up the good work.
THIS! Thank you so much 🫶🏻
I have from the start of GT7 used corner markers and ABS weak. I still use those settings as I don’t do enough laps anywhere to learn the tracks that much plus the markers help in traffic because sometimes the car to the inside or outside is blocking your brake marker.
I did start with automatic and TC3 but now I use manual and most time TC off or 1 but in the SF sometimes I need it 2-3 otherwise I’m worse than I was in the Volvo the other week.
Always wondered why you used the brake markers, that makes sense. I have MS and it effects my vision quite often, I might take that one on board, I use TC on 2 most times or 3 if using the Redbull X thingy or f1 style cars.
Having MS and doing this is incredible 💪🏻
@@JustHunGaming Thanks, I try my best, I'm currently Rated CS and that's taken me ages to get to, I don't trace every day or every week, generally do the qualifier to see how I compare to the rest, currently getting within 6 secs off top guys from 10 secs last year :)
Loved this vid BTW!
I don't have any problem of people use assists, it's the way they want to play the game and it's ok! It's their experience, if they have fun with it, wonderful!
Personally, the only assist i use is ABS (Mainly on Weak) - and with a controller, so, don't know how much time i would get used to use the wheel.
If you are confortable with the assists you use, it's all that matters.
Ya know hun, it's only a fair comparison after a few (10-20) laps practice. I found that when I moved off of assists, it took a while to adjust because I had come to rely on them.
I 💯 agree with the abs tho... thats the one I keep on. And with your vision??? I am impressed lady, you are freaking quick!!! Besides that, I get how the braking zone markers help you see your zones, so that's all fair game. I've also noticed that you don't rely on the red lines like most, you still brake a bit later than recommended
Thank you Queen 💜 I make far too many mistakes without the brake markers 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
But it definitely would be more fair if I did a few more laps 😂😂
@@JustHunGaming no, you keep that on... after learning about your blind spot... I totally understand why you use it!!!
@@JustHunGaming ya know, I saw a car with a similar livery to what you use, and the psn was kinda similar to yours.... do you have an alt account and race in manu-series yesterday?
Great video, sometimes we all need a reminder that the playing field is never even.
🥹🥹 thank you 🫶🏻
Try experimenting with the brake balance if you have issues with the rear or something else. Just cause most use +5 BB doesn’t mean it suits your style. Try -5 and go lap by lap all the way up to +5 and then see what worked for you. Then you can turn TC off. Although TC1 should be used in some cars and it makes you faster in certain tracks.
When the red gear indicator flashes it means use the brake
Really cool hearing a bit of your story/habits overcoming poor eyesight to race. If that doesn’t ‘warrant’ using assists, nothing does, seems just like what the track and/or brake markers would be designed for.
Looks to me like the final settings but with the flashing brake zones would be the fastest by far in the long run, but people are obviously free to choose whatever they want to have fun playing a game. 👍
Thank you 🫶🏻 I definitely think I could turn TC off completely… It’s just finding the confidence 😂😂
I think of this in 2 ways. 1 that use the assists that work best for you, 2 however, it annoys me when quick people are quick because of them. Turn them off and they can't. No skill. A braking line does nothing, other than let you know where you are. I personally don't use the line, as I get fixated on the line and forget where I am. Enjoy the game, but it doesn't hurt to try and push yourself beyond and gain more skills and abilities.
Assists are good as an intro but if you want to progress you gotta know when to kick the training wheels to the kerb otherwise thats when they transform into crutches and crutches that you might not even realise you dont need and are actually hindering your progress - that is assuming you are wanting to push your limits, for some ppl thats not a factor and so they're happy with assists. Its an individual thing and also ppl learn at a different pace.
Using assists are fine to learn the tracks, thats why they exist. Its when you become dependent on them where the 'bad habits' begin and eventually hinder your overall race iq. If you need assists, use them. It is just a game meant to be an enjoyable experience.
P.S. don't turn abs off, default or weak, even A+ drivers use that. No abs and you will lock up the brakes and spin. TC 1-2, brake markers, all are helpful and keep you from wrecking others. Ive seen so many wannabes try no tcs who just slide into people bc they can manage it in tt but can't race clean that way 🤪😢
Oh I learned no ABS on GT7 is an absolute no! 😂😂 it’s all about not owing people lobster 🦞 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I use traction and abs as it is a standard feature on most new vehicles, so why not? But too much rear brake bias on a rear engine car might be an issue, more effective on a front engine rear drive vehicle.
having those assists are there to help, some of those that you use are designed for people with disabilities, also if your new and starting out having them on does help you learn the tracks and as you get better you can if you choose turn them off till you find your happy place with it and for those who shame people for using them remember where you started from and how you learnt
Hi hun I’m blind in my right eye as I did something years ago I drive with abs on maybe traction control off depending what car and stability off so I still think I’m not as good as others and you still look beautiful even though you got limited sight keep up the good content ❤❤
Thank you 🫶🏻
Didnt know that about you, now youre my hero 😊

I think if you are comfortable using assists, use them. However IMO most of them reinforce our bad habits, breaking too late, gas to early, pushing too much the gas, not steering properly, not learning the track, breaking points, references, etc. That is why I do not like them and I tried not to use them unless necessary (for example TC in very powerful cars or rain) But if someone likes them or need them, that is ok and we should not make fun of it.
Gran Turismo 7 is such a fun game! Hoping to get the PSVR2 before the next update 🤞
I only use abs. tc in the rain. Actually, the real porsche 911 rsr doesn't have abs. It's not a gt3 car, it's a gte car
Great vid. I havent played it much but it dosent matter if assist or not its all about having fun in a game. I used all assist on bathurst in fully tuned jag gt3 it actually gave 1.56 times but can get faster time. But mostly i use all assist setting up cars until fastest times on a track fully tuned gt3 then you have the optimal setup on it its just a matter of removing some assist to be quicker and same setup on bop if allowed. But generally its a game have fun it dosent matter what you use. I only play single player havent set my wheel and all that up yet😎 if i ever do that have had it for a year now😅
I only use braking markers...but usually break agood bit inside the marker....
TC on full is a different entity than a plus 1 or 2
Personally i hate when people get angry with other people making the game fun for them selves. I usually use abs all the time and braking lines just until i get used to the track. But if people want to use more then theres nothing wrong with it. Just enjoy and have fun.
Exactly! What ever you are comfortable with and enjoy the most 🫶🏻
@JustHunGaming have you got any recommendations for a steering wheel for ps5? Been playing racing games for many years on controller but time to step it up now.
I think u have to use media tyres because gt7 never puts on soft tyres
I use ABS and TC1. I don't understand how to even brake if ABS is off. I've tried many a times. I want to have fun, there's no money on the line in any race I've ever done or been a part of, so do whatever.
Exactly! It’s about having fun! (Btw… always use ABS 😂😂)
Try doing on Hards, cuz softs will save you more than usual. Also when has GT7 given us GR3 cars with softs., just sayin 😊
a moving chair slow you down
Nothing wrong with using assist. If you feel your car is fighting you then one by one turn it off until you feel comfortable. I personally have everything turned off except ABS at weak setting. Something about GT's ABS implementation feels very weird. It immediately engages as soon as you tap the brakes. When turned off, wheels immediately lock at slight tap of the brakes.
The ABS off on GT7 is the worst I’ve ever tried! They know it’s not something you should turn off 😉😉😉
Gt3s are the hardest to drive no TC, for me it depends what track and race type ,offline everything turned off bar ABS, online anything above gt4 TC 1 corner markers and breaking zone depending on track, its faster with out assists on but is it worth the loss in time if you spin.
If the tools are there use them if it makes you faster thats the aim of the game being the fastest.
I use brake markers as only have vision in left eye.
One eyed crew 💪🏻
I started using the brake markers, just to remind me that i must brake😂
😂😂
all driving assist on GT 7 = Buying a new car in 2024...
I always wondered why you had those brake markers on, and seeing how good you drive didnt make sense.
You have a vision handicap. Good for you putting the guys to shame on the tracks.
I'm a real world car enthusiast, and i never run rear wheel drive cars with TC on 0.. Because even with the best wheel and pedals I dont get the wheel spin feeling like i would in a real car. The only cars i riun with TC on 0 are front wheel drive cars and i get more feedback from front wheel spin without losing the rear end.
I dont have ABS in my real world car, but i run ABS on weak, and no Counter steer assist. Its hard to play GT7 with no ABS because you are missing real world communication and G forces with the course that helps you judge how much brake you are applying.
The autostabilization I ALWAYS have on when racing online for the idiots that always ram me on the course. If i had clean racers i would turn it off.
😂😂 this is so true!
And thank you 🫶🏻 appreciate your words 🫶🏻
Under normal conditions I run no assists, but with some cars in some conditions I run TC up to and including 3 (like Gr3 in the wet) - for me that's part of the challenge, and part of what motivates me to play. Ultimately though, it's 100% personal preference - I genuinely don't care what anyone else runs, except for the dirty mofos that run CSA to aid punting people off. They can get the shits as far as I'm concerned.
Does the camera have any affect offline i use cockpit cam but online i use the one your using as its more clear and the rear mirror is a must
I don’t know… don’t think there’s a difference…
Use whatever you like anyone that has issues with it, is there own issues not yours. Keep the grind up girl 🙂
Thank you 🫶🏻
A major assist for you could be wearing glasses.....................😜
😂😂 can confirm I wear milk bottle glasses 🤓
@@JustHunGaming Your comment earned a Subscribe. Now all you have to do is drink the milk before wearing your glasses..................🤪
Do you ONLY play gt7?
I play it mainly but plan on doing some ACC soon 🤞🏻
@@JustHunGaming I play ACC! i'm a decent player, maybe in the future we could do great races!
Why would you put brake bias to rear on a rear wheel drive car? Do you want the rear end to lose traction and rotate more? if so, you shouldn't have TC on.
It actually gave good rotation to get it into corners 😂
@@JustHunGaming Playing with fire, but it's worked for me too when driving the XJ220 and the rear end wouldn't turn and no setup. So if you had setups, you'd be better messing with the differential which will lock and unlock the wheels into drifts to do the same.
Can I assist you ? 😂
😂😂
No the vice versa if you use assists it helps a lot to go faster
I think....Ur eyes are beautiful, and so are you
