@@Daringloki My prediction is that RE0 and CV remakes are next. Then we will get RE5 remake and a new RE1 remake as the next pair. Then a remake of RE6 will be the last major remake. A 6 remake can work. Readjust its lore so that it has a proper ending. The original RE6 set up a follow up that was replaced by a new soft rebooted RE7.
@alangabrielnietosaavedra3639 A lot of people said the same thing about RE4 not needing a Remake as it’s been released on almost every console since it was released back in 2005 and look how wonderful the RE4 Remake turned out. RE Zero definitely needs this treatment plus a few other minor improvements……inventory boxes needs to be optional for the players that want them, removal of the tank controls, improved A.I for your partner, better boss variety, making the leech zombies and monkeys less annoying, make Marcus less corny and remove the singing, and expand the train scenario and make it slightly longer.
They should sell Code Veronica as the true sequel of Resident Evil 2. Maybe this could attract people that thinks that it is only a spin off. Also Steve was less annoying in Code Veronica chapter of the Darkside Chronicles.
Step 1: lose the over excessive backtracking Step 2: updated graphics and physics Step 3: update and have more serious toned voice acting Step 4: don't make major changes to the characters for "modern day" reasons (Keep Steve a little creepy towards Claire, cause he likes her. Teenagers are just weird at showing emotion. It humanizes him. Keep the Alfred dressing as his sister, duality gender dysphoria stuff. It's part of his character. Gaming companies seem to be scared to have a tran person as a villain. Hurts the esg score, I guess.)
@@nikkeli3942 Carlos personality got an upgrade, while Jill's personality got a downgrade. She was turned into generic badass female dropping f-bombs and slaying Nemesis with a single grenade. That whole game was a rushed mess.
Ever since Claire found Chris's letter in the Stars office in RE2 I really wanted a version of the RE universe where all the remaining Stars members plus Claire & Leon go to the Umbrella Europe facility. There's an old comic where all the Stars members go to Europe for another horror adventure in an old European Umbrella castle. Would love to see this play out in a new game
@@hittobox wildstorm comics had I believe 5 full size comics they published around 1998.Each comic had I believe 3 stories based in the RE universe. Jim Lee created some of the artworks for some of these comics too
I think the entire Steve Romance thing in a Code Veronica remake might work nicely if done properly. I believe the original intention was to make us feel bad that Steve never had a chance with Claire before he mutated and died... He loved her, so he was able to resist killing her... The only problem was that no one liked Steve, so it made everything awkward when we see a character we dislike flirting with a character we love.
I would love to see "Steve & Claire" on-going campaign (Their the most satisfying character) Chris on the other hand; "Chris is still a playable character or a background character"
Code Veronica was already remade with Resident Evil Revelations 2. Exact same scenario. RE5 was a big money maker for Capcom so you can expect it next along with RE9.
This 100% needs a remake. Honestly, if they cut a lot of the needless backtracking, I wouldn't mind. Other things, like you said, fix up the story to fit with the new remakes and fix Steve. Also, none of the risks of being soft locked for not putting the right items/weapons in the item box before switching to Chris.
Words cannot describe how much I want this remake. I fucking love CVX. some of the best music, environments and puzzle solving in the whole series imo. I love the villains and characters as well. Everything about this game was perfect to me, and I only played it a few months ago, having been SUPER late to get into the series as a whole.
I work closely with Capcom studios, code Veronica will be an oculus exclusive for an entire year because mark Zuckerberg is funding like 80% of the cost. Re9 is not even close to being finished probably looking Q3 2027 release.

There’s no way they’re gonna keep all that stuff with Alfred. Capcom has been such pussies recently.
They turned Carlos from an idiot wannabe ladiesman into a hunk action star badboy. I expect them to flesh out Steve's character the same way.

@@arhickernell That soft lock due to item mismanagement is cruel for any new player. Probably would have been patched out if that existed back then.

Resident evil zero is super underrated. It doesn’t need a remake because it’s not even necessary to play. You don’t have to play that one at all.
