i dont understand upon having fixed my gearbox & fit new clutch & thrust bearing why the manufacturers have so many unnecasary nuts & bolts that are left over having completed the replacement box there are 6 15mm it did not need two 17mm&19mm nuts & bolts & two split pins all totally spare now were not important & make no sense why they were there to begin with. please contact me if any of these may be of any use to you. anyway doing my mates timing belt on tuesday all spare fittings free to collector. thankyou
@comunismofóbico & cristiano i just throw them on the passenger seat untill refitting them on occassion ive had the odd bolt roll out from under the seat, just be aware on gearbox housing there are different length bolts with same size head short fit in deep holes BUT LONG DO NOT FIT IN SHORT HOLES.... i just cut them ones shorter mate! I WOULD SAY use food bags & label them top to bottom/front to back or clockwise/anti clickwise USE A PAINT PEN & DOTS . : .: :: OR - = + OR a,b/1,2,3and photo or draw locations removed from pal.
I love your work ethic and specialising has clearly enabled you get these jobs down to a fine art. I don't how many days you do this every week but you don't get an easy day's work. This work would be too hard for a lot of mechanics. Great job sir, full respect to you.
I nave replace a lot of clutch kits on the road without lift... This job needs a lot of patience... Kevin worth a lot of bravo!!!! Keep going my friend!!!! I see all your videos!! Greetings from a mechanic from Greece
I was struggling like mad to get the box back on balancing it on the Jack. Watched your video and you just threw it on 😂 so I tried and it worked a treat. Thanks
just did this job on my mk6 golf. You can actually buy a kit from sachs that has the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate already bolted together and centred. The holes in the pressure plate allow you to tighten down the flywheel with the pressure plate already fastened on. makes the job easier and a clever design.
@blacknoire that's what I did and haven't had any issues. I still sprayed it with plenty of break cleaner in case there was any dirt under the clutch disc. One thing to note. The pressure plate bolts were NOT torqued properly so need to go round them all again with a torque wrench.
Zajebisty film, zajebisty fachowiec! Dzięki Twoim filmom nauczyłem się mechaniki, wszystkie informacje są idealnie zawarte w każdym filmie, co po kolei jak robić, wszystko ładnie pokazane. Dzięki za pełen profesjonalizm! Awesome movie, awesome professional! Thanks to your videos, I learned the mechanics, all information is perfectly contained in each video, which one by one how to do, all nicely shown. Thanks for full professionalism!
I looked at the old pressure plate and thought got a broken finger 😂 obviously not wow didn't realize there were any like that. Keep up the good content buddy & stay safe!!
I don’t know what to say fantastic I have been watching you every single minute for one hour not even 1 second missed I ll try my vehicle tomorrow for the first time good luck to me hopefully not gonna fucktup
How do you put that rubber gasket for drifeshafts connecting to gearbox ? Im trying all day today but its falling out all the time, if I mannage to allign one hole then another hole is gone already.
Nice job as always, please may l ask if you need to reset any warning lights on dash as some sensors disconnected ref gearbox and starter etc WoW so was this the first DMC change on this Audi 146,673 miles
alors là on voit vraiment tout ça va éviter au client de ce lancer dans un chantier comme ça sans connaitre les tenants et les aboutissants. bravo pour vos vidéos.
Great job on showing the odometer at the end because I was curious how many miles that clutch assembly lasted 😀 especially considering it has a dual mass flywheel, and those can be problematic.

I was just curious. Being a mechanic myself for the past few decades, I'm always having to buy more tools to keep up w ever changing cars. Since you're in a specialty, are you in the same predicament, always having to buy tools? Great video, Andi must say you're a big man for all the weather conditions I've seen you working through in your videos. Stay safe out there and be careful!
Hi, Kevin just curious as to what you estimate the weight to be of the clutch bellhousing assembly. I would guess it must be in the region of 40-45 kilograms on a VW/AUDI 1.6 tdi. Very impressive the way you manhandle it into position whilst under the car, you must have a full six pack of stomach mussels.😂
