Good job. Carbon-kevlar it seems to be bullet-proof. Regarding the paint. Did you paint over the blank? EPS? Water base acrylic? Excuse me for the questions, but I have a sealed eps blank (epoxy slurry) ready to paint so I'm looking for some advice to know when to paint, if before lamination or over hotcoat... Greetings and congrats!!
Paint before lamination with water based acrylic is my advice. After hotcoat is also possible, but it is more likely to get scratches and you have to use more expensive paint. A video about painting after hotcoat is coming soon by the way.
@@Dzjiefoils Ok. Thank you very much for the advice. Maybe I'll wait the video... :) I understand that you can paint over hot coat with acrylic, but the paint it must be really dry and without any oil before the last coat. Even could be good to wash it with dishes soap or something like that... Good luck and be fine
@@pipeno2880 Ahh. I now understand that you want to put another coat of epoxy over the paint... So: epoxy, paint, epoxy? I have never tried that with acrylic paint. I did try it on my foilboard with paint from a spraycan. The epoxy reacted badly with that painted surface on the last coat unfortunately.
@@Dzjiefoils Yes. I have an eps blank already sealed with epoxy+microbaloons+cabosil. Sanded. And now I don't know if: 1) laminate/hotcoat/paint/glass coat or, 2) paint/laminate/hotcoat/glasscoat. Maybe I'll do some test. Thanks again!!.

Yes bullet proof would be nice. But thats not the case 😂. Just a fun experiment.
