Steve's "I made a mistake" face after Rahultramarine began his descent to Chaos was the best.
Best part of the video
Really needs the Metal Gear Solid "!" noise.
They fall so easily.😈
Can we get an introduction to chaos follow up.......... maybe even with Mini Wargaming :D
Ya, when Rahul said "blood for..." he didn't even finish saying it when Steve got a look of Quiet Dispare 😂
Great series guys
Steve's face after Rahul said blood for the blood god 😂 cracked me up
A face that says, "I'm really raising this heretic‽"
I bursted out my soda laughing, really took me by surprise
The mans is pulling up with some world eaters as soon as he can
Dude I literally paused and cackled.
I freakin died😂 khorne is proud
“I my goal is to be able to beat Steve.” - I’m glad Rebecca sets nice, achievable goals for herself. That’s important.
Reasons I chose Death Guard as my first Army:
1) Their asthetic
2) They came in the 8th edition starter set I split with my boyfriend at the time
3) Their lore!
4) They allowed me to make mistakes in painting and turn it into "battle damage"
This just makes me incredibly nostalgic thinking about it
Reasons I chose Death Guard too:
1. Armor and weapons. Lots of rust and ooze.
2. Neat vehicles. The blighthauler is just kinda cute ( I want a plushy one)
Reasons I also chose Sororitas as my 2nd army:
1. Angel wings.
2. Nuns with big guns
3. Boob armor.
@@No_nameOG Reasons I chose Necrons as my second army;
1) Their lore
2) Their asthetic
3) They got a huge refresh in early 9th
Reason I went with Emperor's Children is similar love the color scheme.
I also went for Death Guard as a starter, I didn't stick with them, I made some hobby errors and gave up on them, but I learnt a lot
reasons i chose tau as my first army
1) Tau Nick
2) Tau Nick
3) Tau Nick
4) Tau Nick
5) Kroot
I remember watching Rahul and Bruce on funhaus. They were hilarious
I was litterly thinking the same thing, I watched him playing Diablo 4 with bruce not only last week. Can't believe he's here on play on too.
Same !
I was wondering why I felt like I already knew him!
I remember them farting up the place.
Miss those days
I died when Rahul looks up at the camera and says, "Hammer."
Man I've been watching Rahul in random things from film to funhaus. Wild to see him here.
Rahul is such an incredible person. Brilliant actor. He's part in Midnight Mass was Phenomenal. Cheers.
He was so Great in Midnight Mass and Bly Manor!
Lol he's actually such a shitty person he had to get rid of his social media accounts if he wanted to keep acting.
Rahul is so talented! I love this guy in everything Mike Flanagan puts out and now he's playing 40k!
What a funny joke you just told.
Steve's face Rahultramarine turned to chaos was priceless
Love seeing Rhaul on playon. I remember seeing him when he first appeared on funhaus. ( The good old days. ) I can't wait to see him play on camera.
"Blood for the Blood God!". A silent pause. Quick side glance.
I laughed so hard 😂
I swear to god, as a long time viewer and patreon subscriber whos never played, this was pure magical goodness. I cant wait to get into this hobby.
One minute in and I am already in love with Rahul. More of him, please!
Steve, that look on your face there when Rahul-tra Marine said "Blood for the Blood God" was priceless! xD
I love this series man. You guys are being so fun by bringing these two newbies in. As someone new to the hobby, it's great to watch others struggle as well. As tactless as it is to say.
The look on Steve’s face when he realized they should have given Rahul a Khornite combat patrol was PRICELESS
I love watching new people get into warhammer 40k and see them choosing their faction. My first faction was Ultramarines as well and it was mostly because they are the poster boys.
Its fun isn't it? We love seeing people come into this hobby!
I'm a Drukhari player. And why I decided to start my murder Elf army was after a Hellraiser movie marathon. The Covens (specifically Wracks/Grotesques) really feed into the whole Cenobite vibe, and the entire Drukhari force respresent the themes of ultimate pain/pleasure really well.
Come to Commoragh- We have such sights to show you.
Rahul and Rebecca are such lovely new members to 40K. Rahul is my kind of player. Could not stop smiling, what a great series! Looking forward to the future episodes.
Love Rahul in everything he is in. Like I know the internet picked Henry C for their nerd King but Rahul should be the King hands down. He plays in lets plays, he is a huge SW nerd, now this. Like everything he does it shows he actually does it for fun and enjoys it. Fing love the man!
I am now invested in Rebecca's goal to defeat Steve. With 10th edition around the corner and the Tyranids resurging, this could be her year.
what a funny appearance. I used to watch Rahul on FunHaus all the time
We were lucky to have him while he was in Vancouver!
That "Blood for the Blood God" look was priceless 😂😂
My first army was Tyranids. my best friend and college roommate told me since I play Slivers for MTG id love them and bought me a huge collectors box for my birthday. I love hive fleet Leviathan
Love the idea of this series! Hopefully they will be ready to go when 10th launches and they can take what they’ve learned and adapt to the new style of play.
Rahul!!!! YESS!! i cannot wait to see more of him on the channel ive been following him for so long hes an amazing actor
Seeing Rahul is such an unexpected treat. Hollywood's bad boy!
Mr. Fashion
This is some of my favorite stlye content; introducing new people into the hobby.
Thanks for presenting this to us!
Rahul with the "way too intimidated to start" - I feel that. I feel that so hard. I was introduced to the game through Dawn of War (like so many folks) and because at the time it wasn't as big in the US (and also nerdy hobbies like this were still kinda shunned broadly - oh how times have changed!) it was... difficult to get started.
I'm really glad it's become more accessible and we've got cool folks like Nick and Steve to help people get into things.
As far as factions - I started with Marines (as most do), but when I came back from my super long break got into Genestealer Cults because I had this idea in my head to do Space Pirates, and their rules are *so* perfect for that kind of rag-tag plucky underdog kinda group. They also just have a super cool aesthetic with their bodysuits and vehicles. The ability to steal stuff from the Guard is also super fun. And some of their units like Hybrid Metamorphs and Aberrants are great for representing mutants who aren't necessarily Chaos followers. (Yeah I'm pretty excited for the Beastmen coming out soon...)
I do however also have a resurgent Marine addiction (well... Quasi-marine, it's a whole thing, don't worry about it) - and with them a lot of it comes down to "Power armor is cool as heck, and using Horus Heresy-era vehicles is also cool as heck." Oh and Terminators are extremely cool. ... look sometimes my reasoning really does boil down to "Hehe... make the brain chemicals go brrrr" and marines are very, very good at that. (With maybe a little witchcraft on the side. Don't worry about it.)
Man i was literally re-watching Midnight Mass yesterday, thd one of my favorite series in the last couple of years with an outstanding performance from Rahul, saying some of the must down to earth stuff about religion, brilliantly delivered. Welcome to the hobby 😁
I just started playing 40k a couple months ago and your channel has been very helpful in learning how to play, I’m excited for an actual learning series 🤩
This series is an absolute joy
Rahul is the main reason I got into SW Legion (damn all of his lovely photos), and one of the main reasons I eventually got back into Kill Team/40k. Very happy to see him on an episode here!
This was really fun to watch. Excited to see how their match turns out. Also, crazy that Rahul is into 40k. Dude was awesome in Midnight Mass.
Rahul’s “Blood for the Blood God!” made me so happy. I’m sold.
I 1st got introduced to Rahul from funhaus, and i've loved everything he has done since then. His banter with Bruce and Jacob was some of the funniest things i've watched.
I love seeing new people entering and enjoying the hobby!
I was like "Man, Rahul looks so much like the sheriff from Midnight Mass!"
Turns out, it's him! 🤭
Rule of cool.
I started a few months ago and went with Sisters of Battle and Chaos Knights. The polar extremes seemed the most fun and to have the coolest models. Small fire wielding zealots, and huge murder bots of chaos.
Why'd I pick Tau as my first faction. Well two reasons. 1. Pacific Rim style mechsuits 2. I listened to that first army showcase Nick did and said "A faction that is the good guys and works together! That's my faction"
Yeah "good guys".... As long as you ignore the mind control
@@shadowicedevil Everyone in 40k is bad. The tau just don't throw themselves into melee when they can't win
As someone who plays Chaos Space Marines...it's kinda hard to argue that Tau are the bad guys because their leaders use mind control. Like yeah, their pheromone shenanigans are just as bad as sacrificing entire worlds worth of souls to the Ruinous Powers.
@@borklazer5907 Yeah and they don't really use it badly, I mean in just a couple of millennia they became a threat the imperium had to fight
@@borklazer5907 just because they aren't as bad as the Satan worshippers doesn't mean they aren't bad
So glad Rahul came on the show! Been watching him post so much Warhammer stuff and knew he’d be an amazing fit
This series is absolutely amazing! I loved loved loved Rahul in iZombie
Love thus channel. Really am enjoying this series. Yall should do a series on everyone at table top and there individual armies of choice. I think that would be an amazing insight to the channel
If you look back on the videos we kinda have. There’s a lot of army showcases.
steve and rahultramarine are a very fun combo!
ive seen warhammer everywhere and have never played because I have NO CLUE where to start or how to play. This has been one of the best videos to kinda get a very basic breakdown of how things are made, purposes, how to play ect. Thank you for making this video!
Welcome aboard!
I love this series. It’s really making me think of trying to build an army too for the first time. I’ve always felt overwhelmed with all the tabletop part of warhammer 40k and have never taken the first step. Thanks guys for the series
train Rahul-tramarine further I love this man
Tyranids are awesome but I think hard to start with because they are kinda complex. I like it that there is a new Tyranid Player on this channel.
And I would say for the Start I would recamand to build the Hive Tyrant with the Venom Cannon and the Lashwip and Bonesword
For The Hivemind!!!!
It's so awesome to see new players on this show alongside the more pro players!
I like the banter between Rahul and Steve!
Oh man Rahul! I hope you introduce this to Bruce and Lawrence!! Itd be so cool to see you guys play someday
Why I picked Space Marine and specifically Crimson Fist.
1) Power Armor and big guns => auto picked.
2) Bolter, 'nuff said
3) Love the Imperial Fist play style and Bolters but I like blue color plus I got some hand me down Ultramarine.
4) Read their lore and fell in love with the Crimson Fist characters like Pedro Kantor, Captain Cortez, Veteran squad Galleas
This is a great series!! Thank you guys.
What a great way to get news players into the game. Nicely done.
Way back in the day people said I'd probably like Tau. Now that I've finally gotten into the hobby, Tau were indeed my path into collecting. I love the eastern vibe, and the visuals are fantastic.
I've been building a T'au sept army for a few years now, but I'm thinking of starting a custom sept soon.
I am also a fan of the Greater Good, but it was the sleek, clean sci-fi aesthetic for me- and the SENSIBILE battle tactics. Also because we're actually rather sane compared to the rest of the galaxy.
My dude Rahul!!! Love him in Midnight Mass
I'm curious to know if that Rahul-tra Marine was total improv by Rahul, because if so I'm impressed and I bet Steve was too. If he ever becomes a regular, that needs to be his nickname.
I think it was!
Sadly 😥 Rahul already tempted by chaos 😆.
I think you guys struck gold with this! There aren’t nearly enough coaching videos out there. Thank you 👍
I see Rahul and just got instantly taken back to years ago when he would show up in Funhaus videos. God, I loved that
I really like the way you guys explain things, I'm going to check out more of your stuff!
Good to see you on this channel, Rahul XD Anyway thank you for the Midnight Mass series, you played the sh#t out of your character, you are a freakin' good actor, and love to watch the Steve/Rahul word-duel :) Please stay with us long as you can 🙏 :) #teamRahultramarines
No disrespect, guys, but that self portrait head of Rahul’s on an Ultramarine is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen on this channel.
It is pretty hard to compete with
I picked Nids when I was thirteen as my first army because the Hive Tyrant was dope, the old metal one. Man I wish I still had that nids army somewhere.
I love that they used the Combat Patrols, super cool excited for the new 10th edition format for small scale games and would love to see more content on them!
I started my Fallen army partly _out of spite._ In early 9th, Fallen barely had rules. After the 9e CSM codex, they were literally unplayable. I formatted mine around the idea of using the loyalist Dark Angels rules, which fits the narrative I wanted anyway. (They may have sided with Luther, but they never wanted to join Chaos. They just wanted to be the knights they were trained to be, and to protect Caliban's natural beauty. Now, in the -41st- 42nd Millennium, they can do one of those things.)
The other reason I started them was because I got some good deals on secondhand models from the Dark Vengeance box. So I decided I might as well.
Very interesting thoughts on your Fallen
This format was too cool!!!
I knew Rahul looked very familiar he was in the "I Zombie" show. He is my favorite character from that show. Looking forward to the battle.
i was so happy to see rahul hes super cool and im glad he got into warhammer
I love seeing Tyranid gameplay of any kind on the Chanel!
Oh my god it's Rahul Kohli, he was incredible in Midnight Mass!! I didn't watch the painting tutorial so I'm only noticing this now, wow that's so cool
Thanks!
would love to see this for 10th coming out. but love this style of introducing new players.
Thank you!
Rahul Kohli Is one of my favorite actors! Welcome to the 40K community
My first army is adeptus cusdodes. 1. Have some good lore and intersting moments. 2. A gold design that is very noticable in 40k 3. Great value and one man army!
Watching Rahul's hobby journey has been fun!
3:37 literally me when I got my hands on both the combat patrol and boarding patrol Tyranid box lolol
I have to say, I really appreciate that the "why you chose X" questions and answers didn't focus on the perceived strength of the faction. There's nothing wrong with playing into the meta, but I find it's far more important to pick an army that you actually like.
Got into 40k with tyranids but was saving money as I splurged a bit and found a box of chaos marines my brother had gotten a while ago and wanted to paint something so I ended up choosing iron warriors cause I loved the heavy metal look they had.
Over a year later and they are now my main army that I am finally building a proper army list for. Characters, vehicles and terminators is what I'm aiming for
great video, thought it was going to be a little dull but was very entertaining. The, blood for the blood god, moment was hilarious.
So happy we got to see the rahultramarine with the rahul head!
So I joined the hobby in January after deciding to give it a go. It's taken me till April to choose an army and now I'm test painting models before I decide the best scheme. I think I might be overthinking it but at least I'm enjoying it. 😂
Glad to see Sheriff Shariff to be features on the show
"blood for the blood god" Steve's face lmao
Dude, I've followed Rahul for awhile now (due to following his awesome GF Alanah Pearce) and he's hilarious. Love this guy. This is so cool seeing these two worlds collide.
This is an awesome series. Can't wait for the next episode
I chose Orks for my first army because of a stratagem they used to have called flyin edbutt where they literally try headbutt something with their aeroplane. I feel in love with them on the spot i mean who doesnt want to try headbutt a space marine with an aeroplane it sounds fun.
I've been binging iZombie and Midnight Mass. I knew Rahul was into mini painting but did not expect to see him on here at all. I love it.
As a new player myself I’m really looking forward to this series. My choice of army will either be Adepta Sororitas, Astra Militarum, Dark Angels or Necrons. That Tyranid combat patrol box looks quite nice as well.
I recommend Dark Angels. The lion has returned!
These introduction videos are incredible!
"Ooh that's exciting, I hope I don't steer you wrong, HAhahahahHAHAHAHAHA" -Nick totally not evil laughing
I love Rahuls work. Lovely to learn he's "one of us" =)
"Where did you read that from?" is not a question I expected from a man who once recited most of the Star Wars prequels dialogue from memory, while drunk.
Love Rahul- him and Steve were great together❤ Rahultramarine "Blood for the blood god"😂😂😂
Is there a video on how Tak paints his Ultramarines? They look awesome!
We are trying to get him to make one. Maybe one day.
@@PlayOnTabletop That would be amazing! You guys play with the best looking armies, and Tak's is my favorite. I would guess a lot of people would love to see his method!
Seeing rahultramarine say "blood for the bloodgod" only means he was taught by chaos Steve
Cannot confirm nor deny
I've been playing 40k for over a year now and have a decent understanding of the game, but I really enjoy this series. :)
Perfect! That’s what we were hoping for! Thank you. :)
Rahul going to Chaos would be glorious. 🤣
“Hammer them.” *smiles*
Ah Rahul. You’re a gem. Lol.
For me and my Necrons, it was love at first sight, though the Sisters of Battle were a close second
I love Rah-ul-tra-marine, especially when the chaos came out of him "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" xD had me dying
