Definitely! The more the merrier ! It's always good to see new folks come into the Hobby. Space Wovles and Tryanids are both really awesome factions to kick start your warhammer journey.
Love the video! I'll definitely share it with people who are thinking of jumping into the Hobby. Welcome to W40K, Lindsay and Mel. I'm sure you'll enjoy this awesome journey!
I’m new to the hobby, and just recently finished my first army. My problem now is I have no friends that play, and I’m worried no one will want to play against “the new guy” that barely knows the rules at my local store. I’ve familiarized myself with my own army rules and watched plenty of games on RUclips. I just don’t know how to take the first step and inconvenience a stranger 😅
I love the look of those Tyranids. Not to put her on the spot. But it would be great to see how she painted them. It would be nice to see a how to guide for a new painter from a new painters perspective.
Taking my sisters of battle combat patrol to a few games tomorrow. Slowly getting to 1k. At first I thought the rules were a lot but its getting easier game after game. The painting aspect however... god there's a lot to learn. Very fun though and seeing how you progress is gratifying. My first battle sister squad looks nothing like my latest one.
Fantastic video. I love the realistic, relatable, personal touch. If I had someone to get into the hobby, I would share this. GW could learn leagues from you guys .
I just watched this and I think Melanie is Amazing I see you are also a Terran of Culture!!, AWWWWOOOO!!!! Love the Wolves :D This is such a cool video. Very happy to see Ladies loving and enjoying the hobby! So so Cool Welcome friends!!
Smart very smart series, keep em coming, its stuff you can take to middle schools to get kids started in the hobby.. what do you think, I really like to help others get started
It really is! We'll be doing more beginner content like this to help new players ease into the game because there is a TON to learn. Welcome to the community!
This community is just so toxic honestly I'm new to 40K I haven't even played my first real tabletop game yet everyone I've met that's actually into this game are just some of the most unpleasant and toxic people I have ever met, like if you guys want to keep Outsiders away so badly then why do you promote it for everyone to play?
Okay here’s what you REALLY have to do: Step 1: Save $1,000 for your starter emergency fund. Step 2: Pay off all debt (except the house) using the debt snowball. Step 3: Save 3-6 months of expenses in a fully funded emergency fund. Step 4: Invest 15% of your household income in retirement. Step 5: Save for your children’s college fund. Step 6: Pay off your home early. Step 7: Build wealth over the next 25 years. If you’ve done everything right, you might, MIGHT, have enough money to afford an army.
I think telling someone to pick an army based on how the models look is the worst advice for a new player. Nice looking models can fun to paint but if you do not like the rules you will not enjoy playing the game. Another important consideration is do you want to collect an army with a ever expanding model range like space marines or would you rather invest into an army that you could buy a smaller amount of models and own the complete range.
I think the idea is that a new player will spend most of their time assembling and painting for the first few months. Aesthetics is key to remain engaged throughout that long process. Depends on the age you start too. For my friends and I we started well into adulthood, it was a tall order to get everyone together for games so we didn't play much until everyone at least had their armies assembled, nevermind painted. That took years...
Looking to start an army? Which one?
Custodians... as a 3rd army. I'm worried the combat patrol will go away before I can get started 😅
I'm going to be starting nids as a 4th army I have necrons, space wolves, and orks
A year of painting sororitas. Built and primed a few years ago, chickened out on the painting at the time.
I think it will take all year.
Space wolves, oh and Tyranids. How fitting
i watch this video paint my first squad of HearthKyn for my Votann!
Excited to see the progression of the ladies in 40K.
Start of an exciting journey!

"At first, this can seem daunting."
(Me, 11 years into the hobby and still very much daunted.)
Love the video! I'll definitely share it with people who are thinking of jumping into the Hobby.

Everyone starts like this, just take the leap! You can always let them know before hand that this is your first match and are brand new to it.
This was an amazing video. It was great to see the progression of both with their armies.
Glad you enjoyed it Stephen!
I recognize people that used to work at Game Kastle, nice start on armies

I recommend Rustoleum Camouflage paint. Designed to go over plastic and are available in 5 "earth colors".
2x primer is not recommended.
Tamiya Plastic Cement will change your lives, guys.
Cant go back!
FACTS!
I started inhaling wet cement a couple years back and I cant stop! It’s like I’m addicted!
Tamiya plastic cement was so hyped up for me, I thought there was NO WAY it could live up to the hype. It did.
Love the content! Any way how to follow these individuals for their work/ paintings? Thanks!
I wish I would have had this kinda video when I was getting into the hobby.
Hopefully it helps new folks :)

Or just have a job?

Picking the right army could easily be a whole video, lots of considerations!
