Shadow of War is 5 years old today. Go recruit Zog to celebrate! Funny story. It turns out I almost discovered this glitch shortly after the game's release (see: GIF dated December 2017 i.imgur.com/1gWCjTH.gifv ), but since I pretty much never have Domination selected and didn't wait for him to heal up, I just ended up killing Zog every time. With that perspective, that was probably a good thing, as this glitch would have most likely been patched if I had made a video of it back when the devs were still supporting the game.

Bueno, algo que se me acaba de ocurrir es que se puede dominar a Baz, Gaz y Daz si haces lo mismo que este tutorial, pero con el pequeño detalle de que no los podrás llevar a un punto elevado así que habrá que ser cuidadoso con que no lo maten.

They prob have the savior lines cause I bet Zog was a scrapped character he was prob meant to take Bruz role of guiding you then betraying you but then they decided on Bruz
All this time and in such a small community, yet this game continues to get some recognition, and secrets are discovered. Also, I love how not only Zog has a unique savior line; implying he wants you to actually, y'know, bring justice to the necromancer title; but the fact he'll never betray you when recruited would imply that joining you was ultimately his choice and he respects his fellow necromancer and rebel against Sauron.
he actually dosent have any unique lines, as when you make hima follower it changes his voice lines to another orcs, because he literally had no follower dialogue.

I had a uruk that was absolutely dumbfounded and confused as to why other orcs would try to kill me, since I’m called the gravewalker and I can never die.

I do wonder if the devs wanted to have zog be apart of your army but scrapped it for whatever reason, perhaps zog joins you during the shadow wars like he'll appear saying How impressed he is at despite talion wearing a corrupted ring his will is his own and that gave him a reason to fight by your side, how great would it be to have him as a loyal companion?

I pass on my legacy to the community: my ringwraith build- Wrathgiver Soulstealer (35 might quick throw) Bow of vengeance Armor of vengeance Mask of the high king Frostwalker (33% longer elven rage) Skills Ground drain Waters of lorien Rain of blades Chain of shadow. Do this - spawn a gondorian wright whenever by depleting health with your vengeance armour. Shadow strike them then ground drain em quick for an infinite loophole of might usage. Quick throws gives a full bar of might upon impact. Use elven light or execution to fill the wrath tank. Few good placed elven light gives fast results. Once u enter elven rage , elven light or executions keeps the bar filled up. You can stay ringwraith near infinitely. Everyone deserves to have this intel given to. THIS is how ringwraiths were meant to be played imo

Well, now i have a reason to begging my next campaign. Thanks Uruk, i will make my own dream team with zog and bruz. Is funny that one is gonna be technically loyal, the other one will probably try to betray me once he can. Still, this make for a new canon in my book. Having Talion and Zog working together is kind of, ironic. Both betrayed and betrayer working against two supernatural overlords, seems fitting to me.

My Zog got replaced by an orc with no personality what-so-ever after I gave up my fort he just vanished and was replaced by a guy called The Heartless I decapitated the bastard, but Im afraid I wont see Zog again welp time to delete my 120 hour save and restart!
Expand on that please? When I need to have Orks of mine replicated I do a lot of online battles to force the games algorithm to have players invade my forts more online. I put ALL my best specimens on display as overlord, warcheifs and their bodyguards, and hope someone takes the bait and my troops. I can tell it works because I’ve found multiple of a triple legendary trait necromancer I went through hell and high water to make myself.
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire What do you play on? Console or PC? Basically all you do is save your game to online storage. Load up the game and send your orc to the garrison. Now close the game and reload that save you did. You will now have your orc still in your world but also one in the garrison. You’ve now duplicated the orc.

I have a question, can Zog the Eternal expand again? I forgot to kill the leaders and he was replaced by other guards and I don't know if you can expand again or I've already lost him forever.🙏❤
Is there a way for zog to return? Had him ambush me pkce after the final mission and he was on the map, but i had to give up the fortress still, and after doing that he dissapeared from the map , any help?
Well i was using chests to remove iron will and unbreakable from those orcs after which i made them available to take for everyone attacking my fortress (No theres no unbeatable cheated orcs but there are 3 zogs 4 pretenders the merchant orc and undead bruz for an overlord

It's great that this is possible but I never understood why you couldn't recruit orcs in the first place. Like **The** coolest orcs in this game always have iron will or unbreakable and it just .... Why? Bloody Prâk Dung eater we can recruit no issue but we're not allowed to have Ah-Henue the Golden Dragon - from a design perspective that's just not fun
As soon I saw step 2 I knew where this was going also I like to think that Zog was originally INTENDED to be recruitable (hence the unique dialogue) but that was scrapped last minute

Hell yeah. Though I think I'll eternally regret not spreading around the infinite free lootbox exploit I found right after launch.

Hi, I'm trying to recruit Zog but he doesn't seem to want to become a warchief's bodyguard, do I really have to wait a long time ? I tried to kill every enemy orcs and infiltrate one of my followers as a bodyguard, so Zog would be the only opponent available, but even after Zog won, he didn't become a bodyguard.
I doubt you see this but im desperate. Im on a (probably masochistic) quest to collect as many unique personalities of orcs as i can, and im failing to find any comprehensive list of the "special personality types." I dont mean the special and legendary scars, but the ones that only appear under special triggers, like "grog maker" if you blow up grog, or "of the spiders" when you do something relating to spiders. (cant find good info) i think there was a beastmaster that would hijack your mount when you summon it, and a series of specialized tamers that appeared if you killed a lot of the different beasts etc. TL:DR does anyone reading this have any solid info on non-cheat-death captain personalities with special triggers?

I know a certain RUclipsr that would have loved to recruit Zog lol. There's a RUclipsr named Tearofgrace you can say he made a career out of the shadow of mordor and shadow of war series. recommend watching those two series of his.

Since there is unique dialogue for him and others, I suspect this isn't actually a glitch but just some obscure tech. In a way, it makes sense. Sure, you can't break them in regular combat as they don't believe your strength is truly greater, but seizing a fort is a show of force far above besting them in direct combat. After all, all Uruks still abide by strength being power.

Its interesting because zog has some unique lines only seen when dominated, I imagine it was coded in but they decided against it.
Alternatively, it's not a glitch, but a thing they forgot to modify for him.

Expand on that please? When I need to have Orks of mine replicated I do a lot of online battles to force the games algorithm to have players invade my forts more online. I put ALL my best specimens on display as overlord, warcheifs and their bodyguards, and hope someone takes the bait and my troops. I can tell it works because I’ve found multiple of a triple legendary trait necromancer I went through hell and high water to make myself.
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire What do you play on? Console or PC? Basically all you do is save your game to online storage. Load up the game and send your orc to the garrison. Now close the game and reload that save you did. You will now have your orc still in your world but also one in the garrison. You’ve now duplicated the orc.

I have a question, can Zog the Eternal expand again? I forgot to kill the leaders and he was replaced by other guards and I don't know if you can expand again or I've already lost him forever.🙏❤
Is there a way for zog to return? Had him ambush me pkce after the final mission and he was on the map, but i had to give up the fortress still, and after doing that he dissapeared from the map , any help?

Well i was using chests to remove iron will and unbreakable from those orcs after which i made them available to take for everyone attacking my fortress
(No theres no unbeatable cheated orcs but there are 3 zogs 4 pretenders the merchant orc and undead bruz for an overlord

Bloody Prâk Dung eater we can recruit no issue but we're not allowed to have Ah-Henue the Golden Dragon - from a design perspective that's just not fun

As soon I saw step 2 I knew where this was going also I like to think that Zog was originally INTENDED to be recruitable (hence the unique dialogue) but that was scrapped last minute
if the glitch doesn't work for you this is the one time I'd be ok with someone using cheat engine

I tried that. It was evident that captains who surrender is different from captains that get terrified. He would just not allow me to recruit him.

So there's a probability of him returning after you kill him definitely?
He always returns from the dead, even if beheaded or destroyed...it just might take two or three hundred hours of grinding before the RNG revives him@@jesuscrack26
Hi, I'm trying to recruit Zog but he doesn't seem to want to become a warchief's bodyguard, do I really have to wait a long time ? I tried to kill every enemy orcs and infiltrate one of my followers as a bodyguard, so Zog would be the only opponent available, but even after Zog won, he didn't become a bodyguard.

I doubt you see this but im desperate. Im on a (probably masochistic) quest to collect as many unique personalities of orcs as i can, and im failing to find any comprehensive list of the "special personality types." I dont mean the special and legendary scars, but the ones that only appear under special triggers, like "grog maker" if you blow up grog, or "of the spiders" when you do something relating to spiders. (cant find good info) i think there was a beastmaster that would hijack your mount when you summon it, and a series of specialized tamers that appeared if you killed a lot of the different beasts etc.
TL:DR does anyone reading this have any solid info on non-cheat-death captain personalities with special triggers?

Baz and Gaz have that weird permanent iron will, which this seems to work around so its definitely worth a try. Daz however spawns in Minas Morgul after Baz and Gaz are dead, so its an either or from where I sit. Speaking of Daz, it won't work for him unless he follows you to another region with a normal fortress. I don't re-call if he ever leaves MM though. Possibly not.
I know a certain RUclipsr that would have loved to recruit Zog lol. There's a RUclipsr named Tearofgrace you can say he made a career out of the shadow of mordor and shadow of war series. recommend watching those two series of his.

Since there is unique dialogue for him and others, I suspect this isn't actually a glitch but just some obscure tech. In a way, it makes sense. Sure, you can't break them in regular combat as they don't believe your strength is truly greater, but seizing a fort is a show of force far above besting them in direct combat. After all, all Uruks still abide by strength being power.
