Hello again! I hope you enjoyed this video! Got a couple things to add:
Several of the tricks in the video were not discovered by me. Some of them, like the Caragor instant kill have been in use by the speedrunning community for quite a while. I normally give credit for stuff like this, but I am not sure of who discovered what.
Also, there are quite a bit more glitches I know that didn't make it to this video, either because I don't fully understand them yet, or because they are downright useless (who would want to fall through the map consistently...?). There is a possibility of a second compilation later, or I might make individual videos for the best ones.

EDIT: Some clarification for the Waters of Lórien might trick: you need to also have Fatal Might active. I apologize for not having this information on the video. I always have Fatal Might on and didn't realize it was interaction of the two that was causing it.

great to see your stuff. did you ever get my message about the hidden fear in orc captains? I managed to terrify hacked overlords by causing fear in them enough
Believe I did. I have known about being able to terrify Overlords for a really long time. TBH I was under the impression most people knew about it.

I’ve only ever terrified online overlords burying them under a massive horde of undying tide of undead orcs. The undead will never kill the overlord and his guards, _especially_ if one or all of them are berserkers and/or tanks. But as long as I farm might and health from the mewling grunts in a corner, I can indenfinetly sustain and build up a tide of murderous corpses that’ll happily tarpit the overlord until he has a mental breakdown.

Oh, I had a question that had long plagued me: Back in the day, there was a glitch that could turn normal and epic captains into legendary captains with three or more epic traits. Have you found a way to replicate that since they patched it?
0:20 in the first game there was actually special dialogue for when a captain gets frustrated and leaves while you’re out of reach. Stuff like “I don’t have time for this idiocy!”

Absolute legend. Comes back after two years and immediately finds a way to circumvent *No Chance.* How amazing is that?
What´s even better is that it´s *easier* to do that in here than in SoM :,D

@@trizick5379 From what I saw, it´s 3-6 random buttons that are randomly selected to pass Last Chance and in No Chance case, you need to blind guess which one was selected to circumvent it (as well as you need to have a Last Chance to be able to do it). I only know of 2, E and Left Mouse Button.

While I doubt I was the first guy to figure them out, I have done videos on some of these tricks :) (Might on Waters of Lorien, Infinite Elf-Shot, Caragor Insta-kill glitch)
I've actually got a glitch to add: you can stealth drain Olog grunts from above by using Olog Lord and Quiver of Souls or the Wrath on Drain (I forgot the name of that skill). It doesn't actually seem to do anything useful, but the animation plays.
This was a year ago, so you probably played the game and learned what the skill was again, but it was the Consume skill
@@firewolf5971 I'm actually talking about using the subskills 'Quiver of Souls' or 'Bright Lord's Wrath' from the skill 'Drain', as well as the subskill 'Olog Lord' from the skill 'Consume'. And yeah, I had to look that up :P

7:02 A similar thing happens if you don't have 4 Captains when you first take Nurnen. In addition to the Overlord and 2 Warchiefs, a follower Captain is needed to appear in the mission "The Fight Pits".

Looks like some fun stuff to try out. I keep going back to this game. It's probably my favorite. Can't wait to see those other glitches/tricks. I managed to fall out of the map before myself, captain grabbed me at the edge of nurn and I guess it pushed me outside the boundaries. I fell for less than a minute and then it just passed time like I died. Nobody even got credit for the kill. So yeah that doesn't seem to helpful. Also, something I noticed in my own game before, in a fortress siege, all the grunts spawn endlessly, so in my one case, they had pretty much killed all the captains and taken the points before I finished with the first 2 captains. I didn't take any of my own captains to the siege either. I suppose if you're lazy you can just sit there and let all the random orcs do the work.
yeah i noticed that too. i found it a good low risk way to take forts, especially difficult ones, conserving your strength for the captains

Not sure if you have seen it yet, but I accidently discovered a new glitch last night while speedrunning, we can now instakill Orcs and Nazgul as long as they are near stairs.
even works on usually immune mobs like Bruz (during damaged mission) leading to an interesting time.
I saw! Can't wait to see what times the speedrunning community will achieve with this.

This is one of my favourite games of all time man, dead set I'm on like my 5th play through right now lol
I added you on xbox when the game first came out so I could check your fortresses, I know raids to your friends don't count but I still had tons of fun back then, I think I'm gonna download it again.
Damn when i first watched one of your videos i thought you would have stopped by now. I respect your loyalty to the game, maybe you can show other people's stories with the orcs if you haven't done that already.

what I've found works best for me for the sprint focus trick is to allow the stick to go back to he dead zone (completely neutral) and as i push it forward to input a movement thats when I click in the stick. doing it this way also allows for other inputs to be held like the sprint button and sneak.
I don’t know if it is just me but I in shadow wars stage 3 I lost a castle and then retook it and after that I was brought to the end credits with the true ending scene, is that just me or is it a glitch?
Is there something you have to do for water or Lorien to do damage and give might? Tried on normal and brutal with mask, getting no might and doing no damage, combo goes up though
Anyone else wondering this, I full screened the video and changed a few skills to match the videos, fatal might is what gives it its might and damage ability

Thanks for this. I always have Fatal Might on, and it didn't cross my mind that it is what is causing the bug to happen in the first place.

Before the servers closed you could duplicate your guy from shadow of Mordor by doing this: finish the mission where you get your follower, put him in the garrison, repeat.
There are a few things you need to know though, if you put your last guy into the new region then do the mission, it will be the guy you already put in there and you will have to take your guy back out before doing the mission. You can have as many of that 1 orc from shadow of Mordor

Just watched your video on he legendary scars. I’m trying so hard to get The Stitch and or the Beast and I just can’t seem to get it. Do I have to advance time and run around?? What do I do and how long do I wait??
Yo can you make a video about why my captains get executed without bleeding out so i can save them? Im rlly trying to learn how to keep them from getting killed without me being able to save them.
Any tips on ensuring an olog breaks your sword?
Sheesh, the music you use in the background is awesome! Where do you find them? I recognize some of them as tracks played in the game, but I dunno where to just…listen to it online.
Great video, here is some more tips and tricks i use:
1. Just attack with hacked Berserkers and hacked archers it makes the orcs break faster, defenders are just in the way
2. You only need to break or kill the Warchiefs as you saw all the other orcs and Uruks will break at the end, so just collect all of them then
3. Only use hacked Defenders and archers when you defend a fortress
4. Only have undead follower because then they cant turn on you if you hit them to many times and never betray you
5. Only Brand those that has either Banners and call reinforcements or Summon spiders Ghuls or Graugs and dragons that way you will have the man/Orc power depending on the fight
6. Always make shure that you have room in the garrnison, otherwise even if you have branded orcs they will not appear in the garrnison because its to full the limit is like 218 i think
7. Even if you die when you attack you will still keep the orcs you just branded
8. Have a nice gameplay and day

There are legendary pieces that all the way at the bottom have class set bonuses, I forget the name of the armor but one allows you to summon gondorian wights instead of summon undead
@@kadeupshaw5626 Yeah, it's isildur's mask that I'm using the whole Time. 1 bar = 3 of them, 2 bars = 6, BUT THE PREVIEOUS ONES DISSAPEAR IF YOU SUMMON AGAIN!

You've been able to replay them for ages, I do the arena one so I can keep killing my nemesis from the shadow of mordor over and over again lol
I got interesting glitch a couple months ago.
So I was playing on Brutal difficulty and was doing a fortress siege (NOT online) I got all the way to the overlord and had killed every warchief. Unfortunately the overlord killed me. So I tried again and since I had already done the siege I just had to fight to overlord again. Unfortunately he killed... again... and again... and again! I had died enough times that new warchiefs had been promoted but I was so focused on the overlord I didn't bother finding any Intel on the unknown warchiefs. I did the fortress siege mission again and I thought I'd have to do the whole siege since there were warchiefs now but it sent me straight to the overlord. And I finally killed him! But then something interesting happened, when I got to pick my overlord I noticed that the warchiefs had switched sides and I got a free Pretender!

I thought the waters of lorien one was well known, before i reset i used it with the dark tribe 4 set, and the mask that gets rid of its focus use. I just poisened everything
Very much appreciate your video, but i have a question that i feel i often have in most of these SOW videos which is how do you refill might so quickly.
I have all the gear sets and weapons with might on kill / etc... but my might never refills anywhere nesr as fast as in this video and many others.
Is it due to having your might on kill prestige skill maxed out, mods, other glitches i am unaware of because i seemingly can't duplicate the might refill rate i see in many videos..?
Playing on brutal not only buffs enemies but it also buffs your damage, might and wrath gain etc

Stealth drain glitch will not work if you have grunt dominating enabled, something i found out

Keep in mind that some of these things may only work on certain platforms (I know of a couple other bugs that only work on Xbox). Mind if I ask what platform you play on?

@@UruksHollow One of your commenters was Alpha545 Gaming, and they have a wrath build that takes advantage of 100 max of story mastery, (+100% Wrath gain per kill.)
Nevermind that they possess over 1000 skill points. Do you believe people get this point accumulation from pure online conquest? I know you get about one point per conquest. The time dedicated...
But after watching them gain 70% of their Wrath with an elven light, I don't really have a choice but to pursue this.
@@MahkRonAKash it should be working, then. Do you have any points invested into Combat Prestige? I suspect it might have something to do with that.
@@UruksHollow Probably what it is. I've used Waters of Lorien for over a year. Never gained me any might. Although now I need to gather 100 points for story prestige.

I found the sprinting one on my own but lazy me finds it annoying. Every other ones I did not know, I don't use Water of Lorien skill so I could not find that one no matter what, it has great set effects but I just don't like it...

Honestly such a shame this game didn't get more support and content. Such a missed opportunity.
Absolutely. At the very least I wanted for the last few big bugs to get a fix, but that never happened.
From what i gather talking to some devs, they wanted to continue work with Shadow of War for a little longer, but their next project needed all hands on deck.
@@UruksHollow yesssss I neeeed more content about a week ago I saw the nazgul masks cloaks and I fell in love with the Mordor games again so I bought it and blew through the content not thinking how short it’d be now even though I’m still low level (lvl 54) I feel like there’s nothing to do besides online and playing around with the uruks

I always hated that the gameplay trailer looked infinitely better than what we got, it was like watching an interactive LOTR movie.
But yeah, I definitely wouldn't have minded a fix to the glitch that keeps my necromancers from raising any corpses around them in combat. 😡

There's always something new to discover in this game! Not just glitches, either. Every now and then, I come across an interaction with a Captain I had no idea existed.

I came back to this game like 3 days ago, but I don't remember seeing that one before. It had me laughing for 5 minutes!

I'm one of the people who discovered some other different tricks and glitches, but they didn't seem 100% consistent so I didn't post a video on them. Amazing finds. I actually did some of these glitches before but didn't realize how well they work in consistency. Amazing video.

I had similar things happen when many of the tricks in the videos. The caragor instant kill, for example, I had it happen shortly after the game released on Zog, but had no clue of what had just happened. The focus consumption during sprint, I knew about it for a long time, but never spoke out about it, and the speedrunning community discovered it eventually, so i can't take credit for it, either.

There NEEDS to be more content for the Shadow of series, these games are goldmines, not only for the players but also for the people making them.
Not a glitch, but since daggers do so much damage, throw your best life steal gem on it and use brutalize kills as much as you can, in my first play through I used brutalize a lot and it is ridiculously powerful, since life steal is based off of the amount of damage you do. When you do a brutalize kill, all of the strikes Talion does give you health.
it even works on captains as brutalize does more stealth damage than regular stealth attack

"Waters of Lorien" NEEDS "Fatal Might" to generate might, without FM your combo counter will still increase by dashing though
It's been mentioned in another thread but I'm just saying it again to make it easier to find
And honorary mention, if you ever get your hands on an epic sword that says "Gain 10 wrath on an execution".....aka Wrathgiver
DON'T EVER GET RID OF IT..........it's the most bugged weapon in the best way possible

It surprised me to see this many exploits and glitches in this game. Some probably intentional but never explained.
It also saddens me because I feel that this game is simply amazing and deserves so much more love, but it feels as if it’s been swept under the rug by most...
