Also do online vendetta missions they give you good amount of rewards and can give you unnecessary loot you can sell for more Meridian. Grind is the way to go tho mate. 👌🏻
Only 100? I’m at 500. (Some of that may be from when I left my PS4 on overnight that one time... or that few times... but still). I actually completed The Shadow Wars- *before* they patched it, when you had to do like 10 Stages with 2-3 battles each. Felt like the game was in real time, and by the end I’d seriously been fighting the armies of Mordor for decades. And I’m still waiting for my Platinum Trophy. I *earned* that joint, man. Maybe it got lost in the mail... 😂
Thanks for the vid it really helped me since i used these fire sprouts and my captains got sometimes killed... Yeah i needed to reset my game so often because of that but that really helped me out :)
Reading what the enemy has is always important to keeping your fort and being able to counter them. My personal defenses prioritise keeping the enemy outside, feel free to use it if you want. Iron Gates is good if they have Sappers or Fiery Siege Beasts as these can easily break your gate down. However if they have Ologs then get some fire/poison sprouts (Poison is better as it goes through armour). If the enemy have Caragors, get some Hunter Hosts to counter them. If not, use Defenders or Savages depending on if you're going offensive or defensive. I personally stick to Poisonous Siege Beasts no matter what as it prevents Enemy Siege Beasts from firing as well as poisoning attackers, but you can experiment if you want. Again, I almost always use the Encaged Drakes at the gate because it offers the ability to damage (and even kill) enemies at the gates, allowing me to target the ones that are trying to get to the walls. Bear in mind if your gate manages to be broken open then the drake WILL be released, so focus on dominating it if possible as it will help slightly. Most of the time i use Spiked Walls, because it along with the rest of the upgrades combined allows me to keep the enemy outside for as long as possible, but like i said you can experiment with the archers. And finally, with this build you'd want to use the outside Fire Bombs, as there's no point in using the interior Posion Bombs if the enemy won't ever get inside, right? Bear in mind this isn't a "choose these and just sit and watch as your enemies magically die" option, you are still gonna have to go down to the warchiefs and fight them, but a good tip that i'll give is that if you're ever on low health and can't manage to absorb any hp from the enemies because they keep interrupting you, just climb up one of your towers and absorb one or two of your archers because they'll respawn anyways.
If your planning for online conquests make sure you have a few no chance assassins in ur base whether they're bodyguard for warcheifs of warcheifs themselves.
Personally, I like to have a complimentary combination of fire and poison so I can trigger Bale-Fire. So fire mines and poison siege beasts or vice versa. Maybe Poison mines so hellfire or fire spouts can trigger Bale-Fire too. Fire archers I thought would be good too with Poison Mines and Poison siege beasts to burn poisoned targets. But that's just me... I like Bale-Fire... it's cool...
I personally like the poison spout, does a lot of long term damage to war chiefs stuck outside, add a drake for maximum aerial damage and you’ll kill at least half of the attacking army
I dunno why I didn't figure this out earlier, but you can ride the war graug to destroy the gates. After you force it to move up there, the siege beasts can't get to it, neither can the archers, and the spouts are deemed ineffective. The only real threat is the hellfire drakes, which you *could* release *then* attack via graug, but if they have poisonous beasts then you risk losing the graug.
I thought the level cap was 60? Just started playing this game since we got it for free on the playstation plus. It's really fun but I'm confused on the difference between online and single player forts. Are they the same?
/ single player is easier in the sense that the difficulty is set to what you chose. In online sieges, the difficulty is on easy, which in my opinion makes the game harder and more annoying
@@killaxbe2936 All the orcs you collect through like online sieges, vendettas, and such are basically going to stay for your online gameplay? Also is there still xp boosts, I don't see the store anymore?
With online you are faced with the opposition set by another player. Not just their defenses, overlord, and warchiefs, but by the captains assigned to guarding the warchiefs and overlord. For defense I recruit as many orcs with No Chance as I can because if an invading player attacks and goes down they instantly get killed if one of them is near. In just my 1st 2 days I have gained almost 20 defense wins. My defense ratings are much better than my offense ratings because once set it takes me no additional time to get a return. I only found out about that trait because a friend did an attack on me and told me why he died. Since then it is the most important trait I look for. I will assign them as body guards throughout my and most importantly in the overlord's room. Don't forget that traits can randomly change if you shame a possible recruit. Just keep that in mind if you do shame any as one gained No Chance once.
Level cap was increased to level 80 in the last update which also removed the microtransactions even though it wasn't even that bad of a system in the first place
For defense Tanks and Assassins work well. ( Tanks soak up damage while the assassins "no chance" is an instant win if they go down.) For attack Tanks and Berserkers work well but you can mix and match...attacking is more about how you personally play than anything really.
@@Freshboii_tru I don't know where you got that statistic, but yes sure no chance. Just simply hides the problem from you. Meaning if they guess when they do it so it's unlikely that you'll get it and the right time. But it's not impossible so you can actually still get up from a no chance. It's just ludicrously part
Each area has its own separate Captains/Warchiefs. When you go to a new area for the first time, they will all be enemies and you have to recruit them. But once you recruit Captains in the new area, they will stay yours if you leave the area, it will not reset. One exception is the ‘Garrison’ in the menu. Captains that you get from chests, etc will start in the Garrison. You can also take Captains from specific areas by going to the ‘Army’ menu, selecting the Captain, and using the ‘Reassignment’ Training Order to send them to the Garrison. It costs some money to use Reassignment (1000, I think), but you can use it unlimited times. The Garrison isn’t an actual area in the game, it’s just like your Reserves where your Captains stay until you deploy them to an area. To deploy your Garrison Captains, go to the ‘Garrison’ in the menu while you’re in the area you want, and select a Captain you want to deploy- they will be removed from Garrison and now they will be in the new area, and they will stay there just like other Captains unless they die, or you can Reassign them again if you want. To win wars to conquer forts, you don’t actually have to have any Captains at all- you can start the fort assault battle by yourself with no Captains- you will still always have a bunch of regular grunt Orcs, but no Captains or Siege Upgrades, so the battle will be much, much harder, but it is possible to win by yourself if you are good. I’ve done it before. But the more you prepare for the battle, it will be easier. If you assassinate the enemy Warchiefs before the battle, it will disable their Fort Defenses such as Fire Spouts, Spiked Walls, etc, and make it much, much easier to assault. It takes more time, but if you kill all of the enemy Warchiefs and then have your Captains replace them as spies, you will almost instantly win the Assault. Conquering Forts is all about preparation- you don’t have to prepare at all, but the battle will be extremely hard. The more you prepare by killing the Warchiefs, bringing strong Captains, and sending captains as spies, the easier the battle will be. You will usually still have to defeat the Overlord by yourself to complete the battle, but that is easy- just attack with whatever he is weak against, protect yourself from whatever he is strong with (especially if he uses poison or curse, equip armor that reduces those), or just save up Wrath and use super mode to kill him fast. Hope that helps. Game can be confusing at first, but it’s a lot of fun once you know how it works. If you need any more help, I usually don’t get notifications for replies in other people’s videos like this, but feel free to visit my page and leave a comment if you want. Or I will probably be streaming Shadow of War soon, so you can ask in chat. Nobody watches my videos anyway, so I will definitely see it. Lol xD Take it easy. 👍

Some questions I have in mind. 1.what are the best bonus or trait lineup for my warchiefs when I defend? I once heard like determination is really good but I don't know.even better if they have shields.i just give buffing bonus like element DMG and class DMG which will affect that warchiefs bodyguards greatly. 2.is a mystic olog or any olog good as overlord?eventho it have powerfull traits and bonus it have fear of pinning only that great disadvantage.and olog are Easier to kill so idk.

Did everything you said to the letter, even bought Taion Strike so i could open up the siege exactly the same as you. By the time I shadow mounted and killed the 1st siege beast, my perimeter was breached. I was then killed by a 3 hit combo from a poisonous savage with no chance. Worst part is, this siege defense is the ONLY thing i need to do to turn my 98% completion into 100%. I even broke the gamer code and switched to easy mode, still cant win 😢
I know I'm super late to the party but I wanted to ask how you get repeatable defense missions. I've seen people use them for grinding loot and stuff. I'm on Shadow War stage 2 currently. I've looked online and couldn't find info about it anywhere.
Following this guide, with the metal walls and spiked walls they immediately breached my perimeter, all my captains died within seconds, and they reached the keep with little to no effort
what is your skill tree? what you think is the best armour? i played the game to 100% now i do all achievements but i try to not look stuff up in the internet :_D
A bit late, but it also depends on how many captains you have. If you have captains a-plenty. You can stick plenty of bodyguards on your overlord. But also look at their abilities. in one of my fortresses I have an Olog Overlord who is enraged by everything, and his bodyguards have enraged when they see allies enrage. So you end up with them all enraged to begin with which is terrifying to deal with
@@d.cmorgan7276 Yeah, grinding for them is a bit tedious. But it's not like there's anything else to do in the end game. I think it's always best to set up your defences as if you're expecting to use it against players since when you defend against A.I you're pulling most of the weight anyway
If you have a problem finding any of the game missions, check the "Missions" section in the pause menu. They usually tell you where they are, and if you select them they will be marked in the map. You can even fast travel to the map the mission is from that menu. If the mission is locked because you don't have the requirements yet, the menu tells you exactly what needs to be done first
I have found that the Siege Beast on the second layer fire even if there are no enemies around. Killing only your own troops and Capitans. So i dont use em since i value my Orcs more then a Graug.

The best Overlords are a Berserker with all the Immunities accompanied with 2 Berserkers Bodyguard (also with all the Immunities). I don´t know if this is supposed to happen but in every defense I do, the second wave of captains spawns inside the fort. Is there a way to avoid that?
that happens because the first wave broke into your fortress, or you dont have spiked walls (Which prevent them from getting in) i made a new guide video for defenses, its up on my channel go check it out for a more elaborate answer

Just keep avenging players, open chests,do pit fights, collectibles or challenges, other fortress management and killing good orcs, daily or weekly mission too if u can, just play the game long enough and you'll have min 100k

Having a commander with a beast master and a assassin to help the fight. Curse against players is amazing because ether it’s elven or wrath powers it denies them the help.
4:30 disagree, they specifically target enemy captains and warchiefs. If they're not immune to curse they get shrekt.
Sounds like a plan

@@killaxbe2936 Im new to this game bro how can i Farm money fast and level fast in not done in story I just kill and promote my army
@@justarandomvideos6594 / as far as im aware theres no fast way to get money and I’ve played this game since the day it came out. Leveling up fast is the same, you just gotta grind the game
Yeah I came up with an idea that Ologs and Uruks with orange/goldish symbol above their heads give you 1000 Meridian which is not half bad.

Interesting advice I will learn from the assassins advice
So what you're saying is if I have spouts unclimbable walls steel gate and hellfire they basically just can't get in
my brain exploded i literally almost lost my fortress in a defense xD
Thanks for the help. I was getting smoked lol
/ no problem, always happy to help
Y my defences got 1200 lvl in online , I tested my boys without me and they win the war . keep it up
You should probably try putting commanders as bodyguards because their buffs are super op when enraging other captains
I find it funny to imagine Talion and his Uruks and Ologs watch the enemy gather together to attack them
Reading what the enemy has is always important to keeping your fort and being able to counter them.
Why
@@tempestbeast9259 cause if they down the attacker they dont have a last chance
Online still work in SHADOW War???
@@michaelkornhoff6865 The QTE is just hidden, but it’s still a 75% chance they’re just going to die, so still an advantage for the Orcs.
@@monstersuxxio95 Lol yes
I am learning so much that is really important and am even taking notes
Can you show your entire set up with skills and gear cause your setup looks fun but I can’t find any I like on RUclips
yeah I’ll add it in to new videos from now on, im also making a separate video just about my build
“Your guy probably won’t be able to take on 5 captains at once”

My bodyguard is bruz deranged version
What are the best classes on offence and on defence?
Slayers, Assassins and Tanks? Sometimes Marksman?
For defense Tanks and Assassins work well. ( Tanks soak up damage while the assassins "no chance" is an instant win if they go down.)
For attack Tanks and Berserkers work well but you can mix and match...attacking is more about how you personally play than anything really.
Actually the "no chance" ONLY HIDES the prompt so you gotta guess the button and timing BUT it is possible to not die
So 25% chance to not die interesting
@@Freshboii_tru I don't know where you got that statistic, but yes sure no chance. Just simply hides the problem from you. Meaning if they guess when they do it so it's unlikely that you'll get it and the right time. But it's not impossible so you can actually still get up from a no chance. It's just ludicrously part
Nice video m8 , really enjoy looking at yours
I like how the attacking army had like 20 guys on each side, extremely tiny compared to the fort
Can so some help I legit don’t understand this game because do I have to recruit a whole new army for every single area to win wars?
The more captains you recruit, the easier it will be
Any videos on your build?
Yeah check my channel, I posted one 2 weeks ago
How is your might always full what is it because of the equipment? What's the best weapons to use
What sword are you using? Did you get wrath giver? I got might drinker (50 wrath per ground execution) the last time I went farming for wrath giver.
Is there a in game tutorial that teaches you how to do basic stuff in this?As im new to the game,im near the act /mission where you raid the fort but it is a bit overwhelming not knowing what to do,i played the first game but this is so much more expanded compared to Mordor. And i could not find any beginner beginner guides on this, its either people who put dozens of hours in this game and know what they talking about or tutorials like this but this is very unclear to me how things work
Some questions I have in mind.
When assassin tries to finish you off, there is no visible prompt on screen, HOWEVER , it is still there but invisible, IF you guess timing, IF you guess what button to press - you will survive
Really?

Very late but what sword were you using
Its called the humiliator
Did everything you said to the letter, even bought Taion Strike so i could open up the siege exactly the same as you.
By the time I shadow mounted and killed the 1st siege beast, my perimeter was breached. I was then killed by a 3 hit combo from a poisonous savage with no chance.
My defense is 588 to the attackers 530, and im still getting curb stomped no matter my play style. Worst part is, this siege defense is the ONLY thing i need to do to turn my 98% completion into 100%.
I even broke the gamer code and switched to easy mode, still cant win 😢
also assigning blood brothers as bodyguard's are amazing!
Why was the wasp so especial?
And another thing, if there is a perimeter brach, the new wave of captains will apear inside the fortress
I like the way the wasp looks, and yeah if they break in, they’ll spawn in the fortress

How to choose wether an Orc is worthy to be dominated or not?

What would you say was better poison because with my build poison Insta kills or curse because it lowers there numbers
As far as I know curse doesn't just scare it weakens. They take more dam when cursed, a lot more, and I believe they do less dam also.
By the way if you put feral tribe in charge you get an OP bonus for your fortress defenses
what is your skill tree?
what you think is the best armour?

D.C Morgan / Normally I have one bodyguard with my overlord, rarely I’ll put two though
@@killaxbe2936 Thanks I was putting way too many bodyguards with my overlord

I mean...you could use a wild drake when attacking. It's not lime there's an enemy talion to take it over

You can even fast travel to the map the mission is from that menu. If the mission is locked because you don't have the requirements yet, the menu tells you exactly what needs to be done first

Quick question so do you have any tips for me so I kind of on my Fortress is at very low levels and I don't know how to well I don't have very high commanders I sometimes just send them in the fight pits to just I don't know get some money or something but if you have any proof Pro tips and my gear is stunning and everything is good but I don't know why I focus on many people or my commanders is it a good idea that you're focussed on some of my commanders and turn them into legendary but I'm kind of confused on what to do now on my Fortress and all that many of them I meant to say and yeah kind of sucks that I can't fix all of them or reconquer the most with the proper gear but yeah you have any pro tips on that
The best Overlords are a Berserker with all the Immunities accompanied with 2 Berserkers Bodyguard (also with all the Immunities). The best set up for Warchiefs is also a Berserker (without Bodyguards) and with all the immunities.
I found a fort that is built like that, it tooks me 3 hours straight with bronze to complete it. Damn those Cheaters.
Why do you kill the enemy sige beasts and not use them instead?
I don´t know if this is supposed to happen but in every defense I do, the second wave of captains spawns inside the fort. Is there a way to avoid that?
that happens because the first wave broke into your fortress, or you dont have spiked walls (Which prevent them from getting in) i made a new guide video for defenses, its up on my channel go check it out for a more elaborate answer
I know this video is old please respond and tell me did you know that wealth gems on wrings make them level up when there branded

How do you get so much money? I’ve been playing to for the last couple of days and after beating the story the only way I’ve gotten money was destroying gear but that’s not very effective.
Just keep avenging players, open chests,do pit fights, collectibles or challenges, other fortress management and killing good orcs, daily or weekly mission too if u can, just play the game long enough and you'll have min 100k
If your have a good orc for Pit fights, just do it over and over in a Champion Pit. If you lose reset the Game when he goes down. This works in online Pit fights too. You lose the fight but you keep the fighter. Like that you get a ton of loot to sell.
