      I'm so glad you found it helpful! I've got a few other videos on the 6.0s that might help you. Also, if you've ever got questions, I work on these for a living, and I'm happy to help.

    Awesome video man thank you! Working on a 6.0L that a "professional" owned and worked on before I got it. He stripped out HALF of the valve cover bolts and just left it like that. Your video made it possible for me to access and fix all the blown out holes with helicoils. Can't pull the cab in my driveway so this video was a lifesaver. Appreciate it!

    I was trying to explain this on the phone to a buddy back home who is a good tech he’s just never done the job before. 30 minutes of me explaining got him nowhere. shared this with him and he says you are way better teacher than I am 😂

      Haha glad I could help, sometimes seeing it is easier than trying to explain it.

    Thanks for the video, just pulled mine out and replaced the whole A/C system. This worked out great because the heat shield was shot so I redid it all and I cleaned the condenser
    drain port and sealed it at the firewall. Great video! This is the best way to do it!

    this is an excllent video think you can do a Video on the Vacume line routing and connections for the Vacume pump including the 4 wheel drive.

    • @RogueWrenching
      @RogueWrenching  Год назад

      I can definitely do that. It'll probably be a whole vacuum system overview, including diagnosis of common problems.

      It's definitely not worth pulling to do stand pipes. It does make it easier, but I doubt it's faster.

    How the heck do you get those top 2 nuts back on? Think I will take the evap core out from the engine side.

    • @RogueWrenching
      @RogueWrenching  4 месяца назад +1

      Pretty easy, one is a long, straight extension, and the other either a stubby ratchet or a setup like I show in the video.

    Does it require to replace heater core while doing evap?

    • @RogueWrenching
      @RogueWrenching  Год назад

      No, the heater core isn't touched when removing this box. It's a separate repair.

      There a cabin filter inside the box?

    • @RogueWrenching
      @RogueWrenching  Год назад

      @Galdino Bruno No, Ford did not put cabin filters Into their diesels until I think 2015, although it may have been an option as early as 2011. The ac evaporator is the filter on these systems, they clog up with dirt and debris and eventually restrict airflow to zero.

    just take the cab off man. for 20% more work you have a 500% easier job that is done 4000% better because you have easy access to all the parts.
    I have done both cab off and on for 3 of my own 6.0s I will never do cab on again. the amount of head aches saved alone is worth it.
    if you're taking the ac box out just to do cab on then its an even bigger no brainer leave it alone just pull the cab off.

    • @RogueWrenching
      @RogueWrenching  Год назад +7

      I've personally done over 100 sets of heads on 6.0s, and I can go from turning the truck off to heads on a bench is less than 3 hours. I've never seen or heard of anyone doing it that fast with the cab off. But if there's one thing I've learned doing this for a living is there is usually more than one way to get the job done and for me I prefer cab on, I've known plenty of guys who prefer cab up, either way I think you gotta do what you're comfortable with. Thanks for the feedback!
