Narcissism, every time I see a defendant taking the stand, when they are advised it rarely ever goes well, but they think they can convince everybody, I see a huge ego. He is just confirming he is the same type of person his employees described and the reporter was unmasking.

As if it’s not lost on the jury that he murdered German because he was exposing Telles’ corruption. The idea that he thinks he is believable in any fashion shows the extent of his narcissism. I hope the jury walks in, takes a vote, fills out the paperwork and is back in 30 minutes to show him how much they didn’t believe him.

It takes no training or experience to stab or garrot or slash someone.
My husband is a former policeman and sheriff's deputy. He once answered a call to a home, in which he found a woman, holding a bloody knife, standing in her kitchen over the dead body of her husband. He had been stabbed and his throat had been severely cut. He had cheated on her once too many times... and she had never done anything violent in her life before that. She also had no training. She's still in the state penn., as that happened 40 years ago.
Telles' claim that such work takes experience is a dodge designed to distract the jur from the fact that all it takes is sufficient motivation, such as a rage, to carry out such an act.
Mr Telles is acting. He isn't this soft spoken nice man he's playing in the witness box. Listen to his former employees. Read his texts. 🎉

I recognize this is besides the point, but FYI, a tip for the general public from a public speaking professor: if you’re trying to make an argument in an extended format, NEVER say, “And I’ll get into that later,” which he says c. 90000 times.
When you say that, you essentially remove ANY sense of curiosity you might have been able to raise in your listener. If you’re doing a good job telling a story, your listener is engaged by their natural curiosity, and their curiosity makes them slightly uncomfortable and therefore energized. Saying, “I’ll get into that later,” makes them sit back and lose energy, both for the current sub-topic, and for the orator in general.
