There are better players, better singers, better songwriters, but this man was simply born to make a difference in people's lives with his gift of musical talent. StratFinders I will slightly argue the "better players". There are better technical players, (SRV is my all time fav), but to your point of "feeling", I totally agree. SRV is one who "felt" it. You could see it in his face. Clapton is one of the all time greats.

Eric and Patti Boyd finally jumped the broom in 1979. A mistress was the mother of Eric's son and Eric and his son's mom separated soon after the death of their toddler and Patti and Eric divorced same time in 1985, I believe.

But even with all of that, I would be shocked if I could find 5 people that know who he was....really sad.
