This kind of 'patchwork quilt' of musicians was highly underrated, yet it was comprised of some of the most talented musicians that this world has ever seen, or ever will see. B Miller ......an astute (and perfectly accurate) observation and a lovely comment. I’m old enough to remember Roy’s personal tragedies, he said his music helped him “cope”. Even throughout Roy’s musically “lean” years, the man was *always* loved in Australia and toured here often. Despite not having released new material much less enjoyed a “Hit” song in many years, his concerts invariably sold out and I think that speaks volumes.

It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. It's ironic that Roy toured with the Beatles in the early '60's, and they actually listened to him working on "Pretty Woman" in the back of the tour bus. I cannot confirm it as fact, but I believe Elvis was once interviewed and asked, what it felt like having the greatest singing voice ever?
Elvis relied... "I am not sure. Go and ask, Roy Orbison".
      Southern class and incredibly humble.
I am 100% sure Elvis would have jumped in on this little sing along.

The Traveling Wilburys formed in 1988. George Harrison was the initiator. They didn't come into prominence, though, until the early 2000s. You can read about it on the googles. Yet again; 19 + 12 + 23 = 53. So Mr Walsh, you're still a young man at 54!😀

@@laurenrowell9251 I recall that Jeff Lynne from ELO was the guy who formed the band. Maybe that's just my assumption due to the fact that so many Travelling Wilburys songs have such an ELO groove to them. Like this one.
After a little googling it seems that Lynne was producing a George Harrison album and the two came up with the idea for the Travelling Wilburys during this project.
