      Talia Letkeman You had better get to a hospital as quickly as possible, too, if you are “literally just dying”. ✌️

    • @cindland
      @cindland 3 года назад +96

      Krisabelle Zhao it is definitely a horrible accident. But he is likely well-insured especially for his hands, and doesn’t really need to depend on his piping skills. People will still buy their cakes, his business will continue, and the show will be watched by millions tuning in for updates. Not trying to sound cynical, but in this upside down world, with so much craziness happening, this will not stop him from continuing fairly seamlessly.

      Shock doesn’t always make you calm. Sometimes it can make you go crazy. My dad snapped his tibia while surfing which resulted in a compound fracture and he brought himself out of the water with the help of a random surfer and when he got on the sand, his shock was so bad that he just went crazy and started trying to get up and run around. Other surfers had to come over and hold him down. One of the surfers was a doctor and kept telling us that he was in hypovolemic shock but was having a rare reaction

      When I was a kid, my dad and I were going to my dad's office for homeschool, but on the way, we encountered a motorcycle accident. My dad proceeded to jump out of the car to help the motorcycle driver, but being a kid at that time, I wasn't allowed to be left alone in the car, so I immediately stopped him and said "Papa, what are you doing?!", to which he stopped short, realizing he couldn't leave me in the car, so he declined helping the motorcycle driver, and when we continued driving, my dad thanked me from stopping him from saving the motorcycle driver in order to not leave me in the car.

      i saw my dad cut his toes off (thru a boot) with a chainsaw, when the chainsaw/log slipped. I was about 8, so over 40 years ago. It was terrifying, but it also solidified my own coping skills... watching my fathers reaction became the way I handled trauma from then on out. He never passed out. Managed to instruct me properly on the best way to help and had shown me how not to overreact and stay in control of an out of control situation. Everything ended well. 100% full recovery and no PTSD to either of us.

It has to be devastating, to say the least. This man is famous for his cake creations, for running a family business, for making his family name famous, around the world! He is a modern icon of success, in the US. We all do stupid things at times, without thinking of the consequences. Really look at his son’s face during this entire interview! I think he would benefit from some therapy. He is still traumatized! Buddy’s sons and his brother, will never forget the scene they encountered that day! This tragedy has affected the entire family. It’s true that when one is in a situation such as this, calmness takes over so as not to freak-out anyone involved. My son was playing with his cousins and his hand went straight through a glass window. His forearm was shredded in 2 big gashes. When I saw him, my mind was panicking but I didn’t show it because I didn’t want to scare him. I remained calm. He came out with 8 stitches and a gnarly scar. Thank God he was ok.

I was upstairs putting my daughter to bed in her crib. When I came down to what looked like a horror movie, blood everywhere, my heart stopped...but I stayed so calm, like SUPER calm. I guess even under fear our parent brains will keep us calm. My son was around 6 at the time and was already scared. ..he stayed oddly calm too though, I don't even think he cried (is a blur now lol, he'll be 19 in feb) he ended up with a nasty scar and some stitches...thank god it wasn't worse

    A representative said Valastro’s hand was injured when he tried to repair a malfunctioning pin setter in the bowling alley at his New Jersey home on Sept. 20.
    His hand got stuck in the machinery and, unable to withdraw it, he watched as it was impaled three times by a 1½-inch metal rod between the ring and middle fingers.
    Valastro’s sons - ages 13 and 16 - used a reciprocating saw to cut through the rod and release their father.
