Work for me: 1. Find a folder with custom ships 2. Open file with your ship 3. Put m_flagship=true under m_classname=creature 4. !!! Rename you ship: m_ship_name=Sevastopol !!! 5. Save file & enjoy
Nice so now we can go hunting for strike groups in custom battleships. Another thing you can do is copy designs form Highfleet -> Objects -> Designs to the ships folder this unlocks some of the AI only designs such as the strike group cruisers and merchant tankers. Not all of the ship files in that folder are playable without editing but a good number work out of the box.

This came out the very same day that I decide to make my own over the top flagship, excellent timing! Edit: I've created a monster, it ended up with a firepower stat of 124 and a consumption of 3806T per 1000km

I took the opposite path: made a flagship with no direct armaments, no armor. All sensors, the airwing of the longbow, 5 missile bays (with standard KH-15) and a few AA missiles. Looks like shit, will die if she hits a bird but dirt cheap...

I didn’t realize there would be coding involved in creating a flagship. The developer should add a feature to where you just need to press a button instead, because there is no way I’m going to remember this.
for me , its isnt load at all, even i changed the name into "wanderer" the first basic when u hit "New game", its will change back to the ogirinal model
I've finally made a good carrier that have all the commodities of the vanilla flagship Sevastopol plus lots of planes and yet costs less and carry more fuel. I need to know how to make my flagship. 😈
@@SimUKReviews I had one of my ever best game yesterday, after using such carrier with the rest of the Battlegroup. In 4 battles I wiped out 2 strike groups, one missile group, 1 carrier group, conquered one enemy HQ and two prize ships. And all of this while suffering minimal losses. Few minimal damages of the ships, 4 planes losts. I never had such lucky in my entire life. If I find an Hidden City I'll start transforming the Sevastopol into a proper warship leaving to the carrier the purpose of full support of the battlegroup. I want also to turn the two Lightning that I have in some more robust ship that can escort the carrier. And if I have lucky, maybe also add some utility ship or a proper missile corvette. Five ships are the perfect number for my battlegroup.
@@SimUKReviews today's operations aren't equally lucky. I defeated another strike group, seized other two prize ships (small) and piled up 80k gold... but I lost one of my two Lightning. The surviving other now is a rank 7. Equisite ship, probably my favorite in the whole game. If only I can remember how to make the Druid from the Lightning... that would be perfect. And yet no Hidden city news. 😑 Good but not excellent.
Anyone know how to cheat the price of the ship down so we can use massive designs as flagships? Couldn't seem to get it to work by changing m_tele_price
I would caution against this. There are lines in the Sevastopol's seria file that may be important to the campaign. Rather, I use the fueling downtime to have the Sevastopol reworked.

Very handy, wish they just had a tick box to add this in game.
In time I'm sure they will.
I think it should be an item you put on ship, or the biggest ship in the fleet you start the game with, or a ship above certain cost.
I actually found it quite weird
With a customization system like this, we still can't "legally" label our customs as "flagships"?
I'm almost certain it will be in a patch soon.

So i copied the tanker
in the script it says
m_playable=true
but it still wont show up
FOund it just change the name everywhere

@@duranpredur1098 I made a carrier with four flight decks, two being internal. There's a few hangar issues with crashing but it works like a charm
And it could probably be seen all the way from Khiva lol.

If you edit anything on the ship after adding the line it will be removed.
