The Neo G7 reality is great at 1099. Try not to pay more... LG 32GQ950 and Dell G3223Q are very good also ( I really love the Dell by the way! Tho its 24gbps hdmi 2.1) the LG will drop in price soon and the Dell can be had for 699 on sale.. I would still prefer the Neo G7 for that Mini LED greatness...
Viktor, do you know if the Neo G7's HDMI 2.1. Ports support 48Gbps (bandwidth)? What is their max refresh rate? And the response time? Is it the same as for DP1.4. 1 ms? Thanks in advance!
I managed to snag this monitor for less than 400. (Yes the 4K neo G7.) Anyway, I was coming from an office 1080p60 24 inch monitor and this blew my mind... best monitor I've ever laid my eyes on
I switched to HDMI Ultra High Speed cables and maybe it's in my head, but it's a lot better on my Neo G8. I still have an issue where my system goes to sleep and when I wake the system, HDR breaks until I power cycle the monitor. I also set my 6900 XT to "Vivid Gaming" and I'm in love with the monitor now. I keep local dimming to Auto because the blooming in everything non-gaming or video is too distracting for me. Also because of you I got my Neo G8 for cheap. I only buy from Best Buy when it comes to electronics, so I couldn't help with the Amazon affiliate links, but definitely still appreciate all the work.
Time to upgrade my G7 27 1440p to this new G7 4K, I just miss the 4K resolution. I used my G7 now over 7 months but I can't get used to 1440p after using a 4K, 4K is just so much better. To bad that the alineware QD-OLED is also 1440p, to low PPI, I'm so sensetive for PPI.
The video i've been waiting for. I was about to buy the G7 4K but when I found out about this neo G7 I definitely considered it more for being a VA panel. I expect it to be better than the G7 in terms of color because of its quantum dot.
Don't buy the G7, get the LG C2 OLED, much better HDR and has GSYNC, FLAT SCREEN (which is much better) , yes samsung odyssey DONT HAVE GSYNC, you will not use because it causes flicker , stuttering and much more issues even on amd gpu cards
I almost got the 34" G5 on sale recently, but held out hoping the G7 NEO would be well reviewed. Thanks for the video! I think I'll grab it in the near future.
I hope that increased matte finish on the Neo G8 is not bad. I bet I'll be the only one on YT to say and not like to look if it's too strong... I'm checking it today..
@@DisplayReality I saw linus unbox the Neo G8 and the matte is way too strong from the video I have seen I won't touch that with a 10 foot pole if anything for that price better to just go with an LG OLED as you are 100% sure it comes with a true Glossy Panel. But maybe you can do a hands on with it and see
I have been looking at the G7 as an upgrade towards the years end, really feel like that for demanding graphic intensive games where these monitors shine that at a 4k resolution the refresh rate of the G7 will be more than ample. Having a hard time wrapping my head around the price though for a VA panel no matter how good but do like the no chance of burn in and the panel should have a good lifespan. Will continue checking the pricing and if by roughly years end the G7neo drops to the sub $1000 mark will probably pick one up unless something else new catches my eye before then.
Maybe the monitor as you are closer to the screen I play destiny 2 only on monitors for example... but I usually find myself playing on the S95B now for everything else.. lol
On high I think the blooming is pretty bad when browsing the web and what not. In those cases I put it on auto and the blooming goes away while still having great contrast. If you are watching videos or playing games, High is absolutely worth it and the blooming is not very noticeable.
Just showing as I have got many subscribers saying why things are greyed on previous G7s. They all work the same. Many don't know but even xboxs and Sonys ALLM mode switches or Grey's the options. I also tried all 3 response times at 165hz. Standard is best. The other 2 show ghosting on the ufo test.
@@DisplayReality oh ok got ya 👍🏾. I left mine on because the ultra wide mode doesn't make sense to me since it's just scaling it on a 16:9 monitor. So will have bars on the top and bottom.
Hey quick question... So I'm running my Neo G8 with my 3090 on the latest Nvidia drivers 516.59(I believe?) and the latest windows 10 build. When I turn on HDR in Windows, my memory clocks go almost to max speed, pcie link speed stays at x16, and idle power draw stays at 105w???!!! Turning HDR off and the card goes back to stock behavior instantly... I'm curious if this something about my setup, 4k HDR in general, a Windows or Nvidia driver issue? If you have hwinfo installed could you take a look at your GPUs idle behavior with HDR on vs off?
When I have local dimming turn on, I sometimes see slight flickering, especially when playing games. Is there a way to fix this or it's something we have to deal with the monitor?
While I dont see flickering the only thing we have been able to see while talking to many Neo owners. If you disable VRR is helps. Ill keep a lookout for more info for future videos
You can select cinema for a quick powerful image, then if you need more control try rts (you now can control black equalizer) of you need more control try custom. Contrast Enhancer on will give you more brightness. Local dimming high gives you the most peak highlights.
05:55 what if you move mouse cursor? Does blooming will be following it? Or it doesn't even react because it too small? On my pg27uq leds always following my mouse on dark grey pattern
Not really. I have played a few games and on high its still rare. The local dimming high is strong so lowering it will remove you do see it. I'll test that for sure thx...
I love this monitor 👌🏾. Just curious do you get any odd looks on the white text sometimes on desktop? Like has a slight blueish look on certain letters etc? Trying to see if maybe it's some setting on my windows causing that or something
Not that but my text sometimes looks fuzzy. Maybe my scaling is off since I switch out Monitors alot.. I'll check anyway to see if any blueish look appears. Thx
@@DisplayReality Hey, sorry for the late comment, but why do you say the Neo G7 is better for SDR? I play a lot of old games and watch 1080p content like films and anime. Is the Alienware QD-OLED disadvantaged for these use cases?
I believe it didn't cone with a 2.1 cable. I asked some other friend and they didnt either. Weird now days usually all come with one. Try anker or 3d club display 2.1 cakes I use those no problems.
2:29 Nice thinking Viktor! Protect the power brick life. I was wondering why samsung decided to use a twoprong for the neo g7... Neo g9 has a threeprong powercable, it's safer.
@@DisplayReality how does the monitor compare to Neo g9? debating between a neo g8 (basically same as neo g7) and neo g9. neo g7/8 contrast looks incredible and the 4k resolution is even better. but neo g9 real estate looks amazing!!! neo g9 is around $800 AUD more expensive then neo g8. fyi my gpu is an rtx 3090 ti so I should be good to handle either super Ultrawide at 1440p or 4k 120 - 240 hz . my intended purpose is content creation with some gaming. I love to be immersed in video games but I feel like the majority of games I enjoy won't support 32:9, which would have me in PBP mode often (to avoid black bars), which would then force me into 120hz at 1440p which isn't much of an upgrade over my previous monitor (besides the mini led )
I've been waiting for your review of this! Thank you. Also, how is the SDR compared to the 28" G70A? I have never been happy with it's brightness(so I got the LG 27GP950 and like it's picture much better). I know the G70A is an edge-lit IPS vs. the Neo 7's FALD VA panel, but again, the G70A is too dim for me at max brightness. Thanks again!
@@teste-yh5df I have the 48" LG C1 and love it, but it is too big for me for a lot of games. If they could just shrink it down to a 32" with a similar price, it would be perfect.
If u could only have 1 monitor. Between a odyssey neo g7 and a lg c2 at 32 inch. Witch 1 would u chose? I bet the odyssey oled will look like a c2 at 32 inch thats why i ask.
I would get a Neo g7 because of the display port. Everyone needs that using a gpu that a 2080 or older. While hdmi 2.1 is for 3000 series and above... they need to make an ultragear 42" which I'm sure is coming soon...
Dude don't listen any mainstrain reviewer, I have a samsung odyssey g7 and I can list to you all issues I had. But first, get LG C2 dude you don't ever need think twice, also for 4k 32 is good but not optimal, get a bigger screen and get accostumed to it, like get LG C2 55' 1) Gsync on Samsumg odyssey is non existant, it have so much issue that I left disabled, when you enable it give flickers all the time due to low VRR range, when you enable vrr control you get rid of flickers but add so much micro stuttter that you will lose any competitive match to a 30'fps player. Its really bad 2) Black dimm zones and garbage HDR, really HDR is just a market gimmick on these monitors, it is bad and non usable, really u never will see what is hdr with this monitor. 3) poor quality on the buttons, really a expensive monitor doesnt even come with some good controls I Spent like 30 seconds trying to turn off my odyssey g7 every day.. LG TV you can even point to screen to select options...
Hello, I'm about to change my complete pc configuration and also the screen and would like to know the appropriate connection to be able to have the PC connected + the PS5 . The two must be in HDMI 2.1? or the display port is better for one? Thanks for your advice before buying a new motherboard (ps) We are looking forward to see how this G8 NEO / G7 NEO screen looks with the others !
does it have GSYNC problem which make it unpratical to use? and vrr control that get rid of flicker but add stutter so make competitive gaming like 1990 monitor?
@@DisplayReality gsync compatible is certified by Nvidia. The difference is in vrr range. Gsync is 1-monitorhz. Gsync compatible varies between 40 to 80 - monitorhz
Subscribed and liked. This channel is great. Question: what cable should I run on a 3080 with this monitor? Hdmi 2.1 vs DP 1.4? Is this monitor 12 bit? Sorry for the endless questions. 🍻
I use mine always with a display port cable. For gsync Compatability reasons. It does work. I have not tested 12bit yet on the Neo g7. Tho I don't know if it's a bug but on the Neo G8 myself and a couple of friends can see 12bit 240hz at 4k. Not sure if it's a bug.
Sucks that Samsung slaps a huge price tag in something that doesn’t fully work…flickering is so annoying and shouldn’t be an issue at this price point. Samsung needs to fix it but won’t
Hello friend, would you be able to tell me what you think the best general settings for the Neo G7 settings would be for the Xbox Series X? Please and thank you. Happy holidays!
Great review and unboxing. I just received mine from Amazon and while opening it, I noticed there was sticker film on the screen to protect and there was no screws. Sigh….
The screws should be on the mount itself. That's how both mine came. I was like where are they. They were already on the mount plate. With white/grey tape holding them so they are not loose.
@@chunny101 if I could only pick 1... I would get the Neo G7. That Mini LED on High looks amazing. If you will not use it on High for gaming then it looks like the OG G7.. but the while point of the Neos is Mini LED...
@@DisplayReality I will definitely use the best settings for gaming, like I will have HDR on and everything so I guess the NEO G7 is the best plus you get the really awesome looking blacks and greys right?
@@chunny101 for sure it's better then the OG G7. I'm just making sure many take advantage of the mini led power. Like you said you will use it fully enabled. It's really good!
sad. First one had 6 dead pixels on white screen and 1 dead on colored screens. Got amazon to replace it and now new one has one dead pixel very top of screen right in middle. There is one VERY faint grayish one I can only see on bright white screen. Having hard time deciding if I can live with the one dark one since as high on screen it can possibly be. Frustrated as I feel as a whole I love the screen. Wondering if I should keep playing the replace game with amazon till one is perfect or not. 1. Keep it (no other issues other than the 1 black dead pixel) 2. Return till 100% perfect 3. Return and order and wait for the alienware (though I play 10% of my games on ps5) 4. Keep my 4k BENQ till something new from alienware or somewhere else with good warranty that checks my boxes for ps5 and pc off. Thoughts. Just so lost on what to do. I bought this one as I wanted the perfect monitor for good pc gaming and ps5. ***Also can you share your preferred settings? Want to figure out what settings give me the most out of the monitor
I will make a ps5 video next on the Neo G7.. but honestly I would exchange one more time... then if it still has issues just return and wait. You should be 100% happy with the monitor as its over 1k. But since you said this newest one was better and if you are happy it's up to you. I better really check my panel to make sure I don't have any pixels out if place but so far its looks good...
@@DisplayReality pretty sure amazons packaging is heavily to blame here. they put the monitor box into an oversized outer box. This is causing the monitor box to shift back and forth a bunch during shipping because they put no extra packaging to stop it. I decided to give up on the Amazon ones as they obviously are making matter worst. Gonna try g8 from Bestbuy (w/ 4 year extra protection) and see how it goes. I feel if I can get a g8 that works correctly I got to imagine I will be happy. Could also have done straight from samsung and gotten g8 for about 1100 but between delays they keep having and just the 1 year from them directly a little worried about that route. Bestbu yhad the 1299 price.
Here comes Santa Claus here comes Santa Claus right down Santa Claus Lane. ❤️❤️ . Can you please tell my family it's Christmas in July I can't wait tomorrow morning's going to be so exciting 🤣🤣🕺🕺🍻.
I'm pretty torn I've used a 48CX for 2 years as my daily I like everything but the size, not because its too big but the lack of pixel density after using a 24" 1440p for a few years before the OLED. This Samsung is a downgrade in most areas compared to OLED but the size is perfect for good pixel density and the blacks are probably "good enough". I'd still prefer it to be flat but for VA the curve helps the viewing angles. For 1100 its not a terrible deal but more than I'd be willing to pay for a side grade. 900 and I may bite, Samsung make it happen! Oh another thing that sucks is lack of calibration, from what I understand in sRGB mode to get accurate SDR colors you cannot adjust any color settings within the monitor to get it closer. On PC this is not an issue whatsoever due to software calibration letting you get it looking right with an ICC profile. However on a console you're totally boned and have no way to get a correct image. My CX is perfectly calibrated and looks pristine across any device. I don't understand why Samsung cannot allow for at least a 2 pt grayscale, 6 axis color, and gamma controls when choosing sRGB mode.
The deep curve is what has prevented me from jumping on this thing. I think I would mind less if it was a little more shallow of a curve, but I hear "rumor" that the curve prevents the haloing and bloom from appearing on the sides of the screen with the slight off-angle view of a more flat panel of it's size. Is this the case ? Is the curve preventing artifacts you would see on the sides of the screen even when sitting right in front of it ?
don't get any of them, instead.. get a LG C1 or LG C2, which are by the way much better.. 120hz is enough for fluid gameplay and you will have 4k with AWESOME HDR and true black colors (ITS OLED!) you really dont need think twice, samsung neo is garbage, and alienware way expensive for its features and bad hdr. I'm owner of odyssey g7 and i wish i had knew lg c1 is way bettert
I just bought this monitor from Amazon for $1,000. I missed the blackfriday deal =(. Do you think I should return it and buy the new LG oled 27in 1440p 240hz?
It depends of your usage. For me I would prefer the C2 image quality but I do work 8-10 hours on my PC with some gaming late night. So the G7 is a far better choice. Oled would not withstand that much usage over the course of 2-3 years.
I have to choose between benq ex 3210r / or 2710r and neo g7 , 499 vs 1450 euro here in Europe It's really worth 3x the money ? I know benq are very good on quality control, samsung a little bit sketchy, I dont now , I'm a little scared to spend 1450 , I want to know how big is the difference , are benq trash against this ?
I recently purchased the Samsung Odyssey G7 4K 32" 165Hz Curved Gaming Monitor and I have nVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU. Can you please give me the best settings for it? My usage is only Gaming. I had a AOC AGON Pro 32" 4K 144Hz Gaming Monitor.
Any issues with the Neo G7 so far? I'm really thinking about getting one, Especially since it's on sale. I'm torn between getting the Neo G7 and the Dell G3223Q. I've been using an edge lit Asus monitor for a while now. I feel like the Neo G7 would be a huge upgrade for me.
It really would be if you really have never used some kind of local dimming monitor before. I love the G3223Q... I got mine at 699. I think it's above average but I do prefer the mini led Neo g7 at 1099..
@@DisplayReality I'd prefer it if they put out a 1440p version of this, being 4K pretty much means you need a 3080 minimum to play games at 4K with acceptable settings and framerate.
Both are great. But the 32GQ950 can do more than just play. Work/study and browse is easily done on the LG. The curve is what makes the Neo G7 a game centric monitor.
Hey... how do you like it so far? The local dimming should be on high for gaming in both ssr and hdr for those peak highlights. But turned off for pc use other than gaming. I use custum with a black equalizer of 11-13 depending on what I want. Gamma mode 2. Brightness I keep at 100-80 and contrast 70-80 for hdr. Contrast enhancer enabled if you want that added impact.
@@DisplayReality it's amazing, I'm mostly just using it for gaming on the Xbox. I have two issues at the moment, switching from gaming and hdr is on to going back to the home screen, the screen turns black and it says there's no connection. Then yesterday I noticed that the screen kept randomly losing connection to the Xbox at random times, so annoying. I tried to download the programs to update it's firmware if there is one but no luck
Got this one I am suffering with it not booting . It boots randomly and takes ages to do so. I tried all the suggestions roaming on the internet to no avail...
@@DisplayReality I have tried all of that. Sometimes it takes hours to work. I have even tried a laptop and hdmi cable but nothing works. I basically have to let my pc 24/7 and use a black screen video which is not practical
Uuuum... I'm really sorry but I prefer OLED. Honestly Mini-LED is just a transition technology for Micro-LED, but considering QD-OLED. It is silly to spend more money than OLEDs because they have been on the market longer, and therefore their offer is clearly better than Mini-LED. Not even the G7 or any Mini-LED screen will catch my eye, the problem remains: zone blooming. It's still not small enough. OLED has better benefits, the brightness is not decisive. One thing is general brightness and another, a brightness in an image on a frame such as the sun or the moon or the flash of fireworks. Viktors Reality I really appreciate your content. I am a recent subscriber and I love that you upload news and general information about monitors, TVs... Something like TFTCentral and PC Monitors. I am waiting for the MSI Meg 342C QD-OLED. It's a shame that Alienware have decided to use G-Sync Ultimate, it seems to me an unnecessary expense and silly. Because it is not suitable for some new functions and connections. I only see 1x Displayport 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 and no USB-C. And it doesn't support DSC either! Nvidia is so lazy and gross. They are unable to update at least the physical G-Sync module. Hopefully there will be more information about the model from both MSI and Samsung as the MSI model was FreeSync Premium Pro certified. That means it won't be limited and will be 200-300$/€ cheaper.
All true, I have a 48CX its great but i want something smaller for better pixel density. I'm not a fan of the QD-OLED ultrawides right now for their weird pixel layout but if Samsung or MSI can release theirs without a gsync module for $1000 or less and offer 240hz I'd buy the thing instantly.
okay, then where can i get a 4k 27-32 inch OLED monitor that has 144-240hz refresh rate and good HDR? oh....they have them but its like 2-3k....no thanks!
@@DisplayReality IT's good some issues like sdr being brighter than HDR and stand screw was defective had to buy my own screw lol. OTHER than that its not bad its solid not sure if i can validate price being from Canada its about 1.9K CAD. I rather get a A90K Sony 42" and or the QD-OLED alienware for that money.
I have a 42" oled and it's really about difference of immersion. 32" curved vs 42/48 flat but bigger. The picture being very close now days. It depends on what you need. I do wish they made a display port 42" so then now the 48" ultragear does look nice...
I have never tried out a curved monitor how is it with the curve? I want a monitor around 27/28 inch but if the curve is deep enough to shorten the overall width of the monitor close to the width of the 27-inch monitor then it's good for me. Also, is there any announcement/rumor for a successor to G70A? I mainly want to see how is the HDR performance compared to something like LG C2/QN90B so that I can make a decision to buy one of those TVs for a good HDR/media watching experience and get a good 1440p monitor for competitive games like COD if neo G7 is not good enough to provide both.
I believe the Neo G7 is the future for now. The G70A either will get an awesome firmware update or maybe be updated next yr with its new innolux IPS panel if it continues. Nothing so far that I can see bit you never know. Sometimes these things just get announced out of the blue. I will be Vs this monitor against everything I own. So be ready I will get on it as soon as I can. I like to make custom videos and not repeat the same videos on yt everyone else always does.. so it takes time..
@@DisplayReality Great! looking forward to your videos and I already know it's going to be high quality detailed reviews with no bias...Also, at the end or in the comments section please do include in your comparison video which display you would choose in terms of picture quality and if it is a major difference between them, as it's being recorded through a camera then youtube compression then through my display doesn't really do the displays justice.
If there were something equivalent to LG C2 but in a 32" size I would have gotten it. But there really isnt a 32" 16:9 4K 120HZ HDR panel. At least not at a reasonable ish price. I know LG has 4k 32" monitors but they hella spensive... and not that high refresh. awesome for content and work I guess, but not really Videogames. I will say the Dell/ alienware oled widescreen one was reaally tempting. But not quite the resolution or format I wanted, especially since I also play on consoles. Really wanted OLED, been holding off on buying new monitors for years after being spoiled by my LG Oled tv. Finally a monitor thats tempting so I went and ordered it. seems like its not too bad so I hope Ill really enjoy it. I came checking these vids to see if a VESA mount adapter is Included with the monitor. havent gotten mine yet, so hoped to find out as samsung has been weird with a previous monitor I had regarding vesa mounting. cheers.
I'm just not a fan of curved monitors, so what is the reason why they made this curved and Dell made their QEOLED curved. Do people who really use these prefer the "immersion" of the curve? Is curved better for games or content?
The dimness of small hdr highlights really turned me off on this monitor. I get it's to minimize blooming but in dark scenes this monitor really suffers. In re3 in the lab scenes where it's dark and you have super bright lights on the signs and doors it looks dead on this monitor and alive on oled. So while it can get brighter when the highlights are small enough it completely dims them. This seems fixable with a firmware update but I'm also thinking they won't do it cause of the issues with asus. Not holding much hope just a busted local dimming algorithm. I noticed the fireworks scene u displayed it wasn't nearly as bright as the rest and the blooming was already starting to show so I fear thus is the final product. The problem as well is you can't just test white test patterns it clearly shows it's much brighter on test patters then real world content.
On low it goes down but like when I watch search on RUclips or menus the blooming may show up on high... Like I showed. lower the local dimming to low to help but then we lose that brightness in gaming
I've got my triple Neo G8's setup but can only run them in unison at 120Hz. That's even on my RTX 3090 😳 Hopefully the RTX 4090 will have greater bandwidth and allow all 3 to run at 4K/240 Hz 👍

Will continue checking the pricing and if by roughly years end the G7neo drops to the sub $1000 mark will probably pick one up unless something else new catches my eye before then.
Lots of new monitors coming out friend. So much to choose from. Take your time so you can get the best at the price range!
I hope you caught one on sale at best buy.
@@DisplayReality what are your setting on this monitor
Another great video 👍
Thx friend... it really is a great monitor...
@@DisplayReality well I already got the G70a and I think I’m good for a couple of years. Keep up the great work.
Hey Viktor which do you like playing games 🎮🎮🎮 better on a TV or a gaming monitor?
Maybe the monitor as you are closer to the screen I play destiny 2 only on monitors for example... but I usually find myself playing on the S95B now for everything else.. lol
On high I think the blooming is pretty bad when browsing the web and what not. In those cases I put it on auto and the blooming goes away while still having great contrast. If you are watching videos or playing games, High is absolutely worth it and the blooming is not very noticeable.
Is there a reason you turned off adaptive sync?
Ill try HDR today and reply back. I'm making a ps5 video but I'll try on PC..
did you find out what the problem was? I found the same HDR increases gpu workload
Awesome vid. Waiting on the a90k 42 inch review before making a decision.
I ordered this one today, will get my hands on it this Friday. Do u suggest any calibration settings for series x? Appreciate mate.
Samsung made a really good monitor here...look at those contrast and black
Nice!! would of much preferred if u showed some modern games running on it in HDR etc.... its hard to judge off the old games
Yo Victor! What settings do you recommend for xsx? Calibration
I'll test that for sure thx...
i have a LG 27GP950-B , its worth change to this? i like hdr and blacks
Thx
@@DisplayReality yeah possibly. I'm messing with the scaling too with some app I used to use on windows 10
waiting for your full review of this monitor!
I am currently thinking about buying the Alienware AW3423DW or this Odyssey Neo G7
For Ultrawide/HDR only or all the time the QD-OLED is best. For everything SDR the Neo G7 is the way to go..
@@DisplayReality Hey, sorry for the late comment, but why do you say the Neo G7 is better for SDR? I play a lot of old games and watch 1080p content like films and anime. Is the Alienware QD-OLED disadvantaged for these use cases?
So mine came yesterday and when I unboxed it it didn't come with an HDMi 2.1 cable. Only Display Port. Is that supposed to be the case?
I believe it didn't cone with a 2.1 cable. I asked some other friend and they didnt either. Weird now days usually all come with one. Try anker or 3d club display 2.1 cakes I use those no problems.
@@DisplayReality Thanks... I guess these companies are trying to cut costs any way they can.
2:29 Nice thinking Viktor! Protect the power brick life. I was wondering why samsung decided to use a twoprong for the neo g7...
Neo g9 has a threeprong powercable, it's safer.
I have a Samsung G28A Will this be a upgrade G28A HDR 400 and the 32 is HDR 2000 if I’m not mistaken
This will be a major upgrade in sdr amd hdr. Night and day. Especially in sdr mode. Local dimming can be enabled and look amazing.
Neo g8 came in last night... Loving it so far but am still getting a feel for everything. Looking forward to your experience
16:11 not seeing much of the light sync at the back making much effect in a dark environment
Yea the light sync is not bright at all. Any rgb lights in my room is brighter..
Currently 499 for 32 inch Neo G7 on samsung website. Worth it?
Yea 100%. Even the neo g8 is at a good price...
LG C1, much better.
@@teste-yh5df I have the 48" LG C1 and love it, but it is too big for me for a lot of games. If they could just shrink it down to a 32" with a similar price, it would be perfect.
Where do you find that test videos?
I edit them together..
Looking forward to that side by side comparison G7 Odyssey versus neo G7 Odyssey 👀 😀
Been searching to see how this monitor looks paired with mac…. Does it scale nicely? Icons/text appearance?
But first, get LG C2 dude you don't ever need think twice, also for 4k 32 is good but not optimal, get a bigger screen and get accostumed to it, like get LG C2 55'
1) Gsync on Samsumg odyssey is non existant, it have so much issue that I left disabled, when you enable it give flickers all the time due to low VRR range, when you enable vrr control you get rid of flickers but add so much micro stuttter that you will lose any competitive match to a 30'fps player. Its really bad
2) Black dimm zones and garbage HDR, really HDR is just a market gimmick on these monitors, it is bad and non usable, really u never will see what is hdr with this monitor.
3) poor quality on the buttons, really a expensive monitor doesnt even come with some good controls I Spent like 30 seconds trying to turn off my odyssey g7 every day.. LG TV you can even point to screen to select options...
Hello,
I'm about to change my complete pc configuration and also the screen and would like to know the appropriate connection to be able to have the PC connected + the PS5 .
The two must be in HDMI 2.1? or the display port is better for one?
Thanks for your advice before buying a new motherboard
(ps) We are looking forward to see how this G8 NEO / G7 NEO screen looks with the others !
Wow you have one! looks great. That would also have been my next monitor, but I bought it for the 43qn90b. 4k144 at 43" i love it.
does it have GSYNC problem which make it unpratical to use? and vrr control that get rid of flicker but add stutter so make competitive gaming like 1990 monitor?
Gsync Compatability works its just not Nvidia validated. Which is weird... but so far no problems. VRR also works great on PS5.
@@DisplayReality it seems samsung odyssey vrr is 60-240 , lg c2 for example is 40-240

Hi, what is difference betwen LS32BG750NUXEN LS32BG752NNXGO and which one did you test?
Hello friend, would you be able to tell me what you think the best general settings for the Neo G7 settings would be for the Xbox Series X? Please and thank you. Happy holidays!
Great review and unboxing. I just received mine from Amazon and while opening it, I noticed there was sticker film on the screen to protect and there was no screws. Sigh….
The screws should be on the mount itself. That's how both mine came. I was like where are they. They were already on the mount plate. With white/grey tape holding them so they are not loose.
@@DisplayReality Oh wow your right! Thanks. Currently trying to test for dead pixels but so far this monitor is beautiful

Yes friend. 100% no issues. 4k120hz hdr and vrr.
@@DisplayReality so overall this monitor doesn’t have any issues right? And would you buy the Neo G7 or the OG Odyssey G7?

Just need this monitor, but with display port 2.0 and QD OLED
Which one Neo G9 or this new Neo G7?? Mostly for gaming
HDR is better now on the Neo G7/8. Rtings shows the G9 not hitting the values. Tho the Neo G7/8 do on hardware unboxed
does this one glow like ips? because i have an IPS that looks white when i look at it off-angle, especially from above

Let me know how you like it! Merry Christmas in July... time to watch the Home shopping network.. lol
LG CX is much better, agreed
Did you get any burn in on your CX during two years of usage? How many hours per day do you use it?
Input lag? For xbox series x? Fps cod?
The deep curve is what has prevented me from jumping on this thing. I think I would mind less if it was a little more shallow of a curve, but I hear "rumor" that the curve prevents the haloing and bloom from appearing on the sides of the screen with the slight off-angle view of a more flat panel of it's size. Is this the case ? Is the curve preventing artifacts you would see on the sides of the screen even when sitting right in front of it ?
The curve is primarily to mitigate the VA panels poor viewing angles. If it were flat, the edges would lose gamma/saturation.
get lg c1 much better dude,
The curve was too aggressive on the 27" G7, but on the 32" Neo it isn't bad at all.
Also, can you tell which exactly g7 is it? S32BG750?
I just can’t choose between the Neo G7 and the Alienware QD-Oled monitors…
Also please make a comparison video of the previous G7 and the Neo G7!
Qd oled easy
don't get any of them, instead.. get a LG C1 or LG C2, which are by the way much better.. 120hz is enough for fluid gameplay and you will have 4k with AWESOME HDR and true black colors (ITS OLED!)
you really dont need think twice, samsung neo is garbage, and alienware way expensive for its features and bad hdr.
I'm owner of odyssey g7 and i wish i had knew lg c1 is way bettert
I just bought this monitor from Amazon for $1,000. I missed the blackfriday deal =(. Do you think I should return it and buy the new LG oled 27in 1440p 240hz?
If you love the picture I would not get the LG. The main reason will be the brightness. I will vs it asap to my other monitors when it arrives.
Did the monitor come with a remote control?
No it does not. Not the 32" Neo's. But the G6, G70B, Neo G7 43", 34" G8 OLED and 49" G9 OLED all do.
I am still torn between the Neo G7 and the LG C2 42”.
Get the c2 don't look back
Save $ and get the 48” c1. Basically same panel but larger and $600 less.
get the C1 or C2, dude don't ever think twice, odyssey is garbage, really it doesnt have gsync read my other comment to see
It depends of your usage. For me I would prefer the C2 image quality but I do work 8-10 hours on my PC with some gaming late night. So the G7 is a far better choice. Oled would not withstand that much usage over the course of 2-3 years.
I have to choose between benq ex 3210r / or 2710r and neo g7 , 499 vs 1450 euro here in Europe
It's really worth 3x the money ?
@@DisplayReality Awesome! I’m definitely going to get the G7 then. I’ll make sure to use your link 😉
@@DisplayReality I'd prefer it if they put out a 1440p version of this, being 4K pretty much means you need a 3080 minimum to play games at 4K with acceptable settings and framerate.
This monitor or lg 32gq950 best for ps5
Both are great. But the 32GQ950 can do more than just play. Work/study and browse is easily done on the LG. The curve is what makes the Neo G7 a game centric monitor.
@@DisplayReality I want only for ps5 what do I get

Hey... how do you like it so far? The local dimming should be on high for gaming in both ssr and hdr for those peak highlights. But turned off for pc use other than gaming. I use custum with a black equalizer of 11-13 depending on what I want. Gamma mode 2. Brightness I keep at 100-80 and contrast 70-80 for hdr. Contrast enhancer enabled if you want that added impact.
@@DisplayReality it's amazing, I'm mostly just using it for gaming on the Xbox.

How does it compare to the lg c1 48”?
I have a 42" oled and it's really about difference of immersion. 32" curved vs 42/48 flat but bigger. The picture being very close now days. It depends on what you need. I do wish they made a display port 42" so then now the 48" ultragear does look nice...

Does the Neo G7 been published after Neo G8?
HDR on or off in this monitor?
Va will most likely never reach 1ms gtg but ips can, and add in 3.5k-5.5k zones and you'll be rocking a true oled killer.
True.. that would prob make it super expensive...

I'm just not a fan of curved monitors, so what is the reason why they made this curved and Dell made their QEOLED curved. Do people who really use these prefer the "immersion" of the curve? Is curved better for games or content?

Will this. Monitor burn in?
I have Aloot of blooming on my ps5.. maybe not during gameplay but main sceen, words everything has a bunch
Rip 4090 bandwidth xD
