@@gorantrifunovic2506 Thanks a lot for this vital info but, I'm still curious how is this worth the money when all it does is read only and no editing? I mean for reading & canceling fault codes a cheap OBD2 adapter for $15 can do that.
@@Sir-Kay it's useful if you have for example a drivetrain error in the dashboard and this can really be anything, the tool will read the error and sometimes it's something really small and easy fix like replacement of simple sensor and this will save you money for diagnostic and if you can do it yourself it will save you money because you don't have to pay the garage, plus you can assign new battery when replaced, read your brake system etc. The tool is basically for identifying the issue si you know what's wrong if some weird errors pops up.

I'll go for the Bimmercode instead since it's a one time payment and it's only $40-something but allows me to do what this scanner here does and more.
@@Sir-Kay sure thing mate, just be aware that if you have Bimmercode you can't look at the errors, you will need BimmerLink to do that. BimmerLink is good because it's really easy to force DPF regeneration for example but it does require extra 1 time subscription.

Did you have to turn on the engine or did you just have to turn on the car? My car turns on but the engine does not start, hence the question. Planning to buy this to diagnose the problem but if the engine needs to be turned on then this is useless for me. Thanks!

Pozdrav, ovaj uređaj je uglavnom za BMW, Mini i Rolls-Royce vozila. Ako imate neko drugo vozilo, uređaj će očitati samo osnovne (Basic) funkcije/greške. Ja sam ga osobno koristio na prijateljevom Renault-u ali možda samo 10-ak osnovnih grešaka je očitao iako sam bio u mogućnosti obrisati greške.
Have the 7910...trying to erase SRS light on dash,(for car test🙂) know it will always return unless prob. fixed...can get the light off sometimes after erasing code but need for it to go off on day of test.
You can try option "Erase all errors" and see how it will go. I personally didn't tried this because I didn't had that issue but please let us know how it goes.

@@dekdavidson3957 it depends on the model of the car but I found out that Autophix is not so good for some things, if I can't clear the error with it I go to BimmerLink or BMW ISTA+ and ISTA is the best and the most detailed software you can get, it's original BMW software that is used in their garages and depending on the model you can read it with D-CAN or ESYS cable. D-CAN will work for models before F and ESYS for F forward.

It only read and delete codes, it doesn't have option to code anything. For codding you can use Bimmercode or ISTA.

Yes, for some diagnosis you need engine tu run. Maybe your better shot here is bimmerlink with wifi OBD2 adapter.

Why fault codes kept popping out
Probably the problem with hardware is not solved and when the error is cleared it will pop up again. Sometimes a part need to be replaced.
