Pretty easy to do. That is why i only buy the repairable write offs. Car gets into an accident at 40000km's . Auction won't change the speedo. $20 million dollar fine. Auction won't risk it. . No body sells a good car. Just get a hail damage vehicle or are car that has had a small hit in the back. Or even a small hit in the front. I fix and sell 40 of these every year. @@venzenbroshighlights3259 This literally makes absolutely zero sense. If you swap an engine that doesn't justify or come up with any reason to change the mileage on the car, lol. If the car has 150k miles and you replaced the engine with one with 60k that doesn't mean change the mileage to 60k.. You would keep it at 150k and then tell people it was replaced with an engine with 60k miles at 150k and go from there. If you did this, it's highly illegal and also makes zero sense to do it. Mileage correction is for vehicle that the cluster has went out and needs a new one and then adjust the mileage then..
Is this function of the tool used if say you had to replace a broken speedometer with a replacement and set the new unit with the old mileage? And can the milage change be detected in the new unit? Cheers.
Yes, it is for replacing the gauge cluster on digital dashboards. This will update the dash to show correct information and there will be no issues or detection issues. Mileage differences can be seen through VIN numbers and service history (all dealers and most mechanics report mileage when servicing). So, there are ways to verify that something is wrong if it is done nefariously, but that is only when the car is taken into a shop. Of course, I am speaking for my location, I don't know how yours handles service history.

Hi, I just purchased a used motorcycle. 2017 mt07. When going to get the bike insured I noticed the miles on the title are different than what the bike says. 18,050 says on title when transferred from 1st owner to 2nd. 2nd owner says only rode 100 miles on the bike which title shows he got last summer and says he put it up for the winter. Guy has a family and just had a kid is the reason he's selling he says. It's looks like it's likely that the there was just an extra 0 added on the title paperwork to the miles and the bike currently reads 1, 981 or so miles. The bike looks very new still and seems to drive very smooth. I can't tell if it actually would have 18000 miles on it though or if the odometer reading is actually accurate. Hey was in 105,000km and changed it to 77k miles, that’s technically rolling the mileage forward
@@venzenbroshighlights3259 except the suspension and transmission still have the added wear, it's illegal to change the milage just because you swap the engine
As has been mentioned a few times now if the dash cluster was changed with a new or 2nd hand part the odometer would need to be changed to the correct mileage
Does it support 24v Japaneese car/light trucks?
In Malaysia, almost every used car dealer will reduce the number of mileage before they sell to customer.
Russia has no real odometer readings :)
Same in India. It's a fuck show. Very high prices and very high probability of getting ripped off.. specially in Delhi National capital region
The grant can help if frequent change of owner
is there a custom charge to Dublin? cheers
Amazon doesn’t carry it anymore. Have u seen it at other places?
This is not by far the best milage correcfion tool. Ive just purchased the emigma with accessories second hand for 3k. This is by far the best tool you can get and does every vehicle
Could you share the website where we can learn about that tool and purchase?

does this device do bmw cars milage adjustment as bmw seems to be the only make that is not shown on all the list of makes and models
How about we if scanning the ECU reading mileage? Still same with the real one or the new milleage has programmed?
Good question
No it wont you can only do that with. Ktag ids vag obd11 star or other dealer equivelant etc. However several cars listed dont store mileage on ecu.
Do you have something similar for Motorcycles as well??
That’s why it’s important to ensure vehicles have original logbooks when you purchase.
Unless you are rich enough to buy near new, most poor people never have the luxury to keep on looking for a car that has as set of books let alone a set of books with perfect service records after it has become a worthless 10-15 year old car that has gone through 20 owners and out of warranty.
The difficulty or inability to tamper with the readings is what is being relied on a safe guard for would be buyers.
Unfortunately, old tech looks to be more work, cost more, require more knowledge, time consuming, more parts required than the example above.
It seems barriers of old tech is looking more secure than newer cars.
@@crxdelsolsir People don't realize how expensive and dangerous all these electronic are and you don't actually own your new car even if you paid cash for it. Imagine the control over consumers if you can
I sold a car with 360000 KMs. Dealer ask if it had log book. I said yes but last stamp at 150,000. He eyes lit up
Can you change the milage ok Toyota models?
Honda civix does it change 2015 ?
I doubt many cars odometer readings can be read or adjusted just by the OBD port, at least not till recently. Not all CANBus networks are pinned at the port, for instance, my 2006 Mazdaspeed6. I had to tap into MSCAN behind the instrument cluster...
Roughly what years can this be used with?
Easier on newer cars
Can I use that tool on a semi truck??
What Peugeot vehicles does this work on? Mine is a 106 from 2002 and after an instrument cluster change it shows 72000 but the car has done 144000 so I’m genuinely trying to correct my car’s milage
😂😂😂😂
does one cable work on all cars? would you beed two cables for Ferrari and Audi?
The mileage in the cluster will reset the next time the car is started. The mileage is stored in several different ECU's in the car which can't be changed. When the car is started next time, the cluster polls all the ECUs for mileage and will update the display with the real mileage.
Do you mind to give me your thoughts on the situation? I'm worried sick that the bike has "rolled back" miles. Thank you so much!!
Does not change on its own if the ECU milage is a mismatch but that is how you can tell if the odometer has been falsified instead of just corrected
