One of the BEST singers and artists this world has ever produced. To say P.J. Proby is a LEGEND and a GENIUS is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I cry when I listen to him singing, his voice just tugs at my heartstrings 👌🤗❤️
Dave Roberts I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 and unfortunately his farewell concert and some other gigs were cancelled last year because of his views concerning underaged girls. Now a lot of big venues don’t want to have anything to do with him. I don’t know why he keeps doing this to himself as it only detracts away from the PHENOMENAL singer and stage performer that he is.We his fans are missing out on seeing him performing live in all of his greatness and glory which is very sad 😔
Dave Roberts Thank you for your reply, I would also like to see him because he does have a great stage presence when he talks to the audience and tells his stories, a naturally funny man. When he opens his mouth to sing, his voice OVERWHELMS, touching every nerve in the body, sending you to a place of pure AWESOMENESS 🎤 😊👌❤️ *Ps Mum and Dad say they were completely astonished when as a baby I would get excited when hearing the likes of Elvis Presley, P.J Proby, Gene Pitney, Gene McDaniels, Brook Benton, Sam Cooke, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Billy Fury, Del Shannon, Solomon Burke, Matt Monro, John Leyton, Cilla Black, Shirley Bassey, Lulu, Dusty Springfield, Timi Yuro, Tammy Wynette, Helen Shapiro, The Beatles, Dion & The Belmonts, The Small Faces, The Four Tops, The Righteous Brothers, The Searchers, The Shangri Las, The Ronettes, The Supremes, anything from Phil Spector and the list goes ON. I’m a quarter of the age of these artists who in my eyes are sparkling and priceless GEMS 💎 My age doesn’t prevent me from LOVING and APPRECIATING the outstanding music they’ve bestowed on us, their fans. My IPhone music library is my lifeline and at this moment in time has over 3000 songs from my favourite artists. My P.J Proby playlist has 30 of what I consider to be his BEST songs👍 I’d love to hear who your other favourite artists are 🤗
Julie hermiz Your are still great and I wish you the best and keep the Proby moving on he's a brilliant man and I hope to see him one day. Thanks Dave. Bye 👋 X.
I commented a year ago. I'm thanking you again for uploading this video. Something was bothering PJ's eyes. He deserved far more from the world than he received back in the day. Wishing him all the best.
Wow do I wish I'd been there. PJ is fabulous. He's kept his voice and talent for 50 years. His recording of Nikki Hokey in the 60s has remained a favorite. Thanks for uploading this video.
Thankyou for so many memories PJ from the heart,I love that song.it brings back memories some sad of my dad who died age 35.he lived this song, wen he died I played it over an over again.xxx
What an incredible clip, thanks for recording & posting it. P.J. is truly one of a kind. One of the greatest, most versatile singers I’ve ever heard. He can do it all. Long live this vocal genius whose albums have been a part of my life for the past 52 years!
This is the finale of a fantastic set PJ gave on sixties gold at the palladium. The lights were a problem also a brilliant spotlight and I was under the lip of the stage trying to avoid shooting the lights-hope you enjoy.
Not sure this is really vintage Proby (sound quality is not great), but his 1965 version of 'I apologise' remains one of the greatest rock vocal performances of all time. For that alone, he deserves his legendary status.
PJ so glad I came across you on u tube loveeee you and your voice my favorite songs are make a big man cry and just like him. I hope u reply to me thanks 👍💟👌🙏
That's what you get for being an amazing PJPROBY Fan he's just so Awesome I just want to meet him one day that would be great I've always Wanted to meet him he's still a great singer and entertainer well to me he's a Legend. Autographs Please. PJ.
This performance was too far back in the mix, so could hardly hear the voice. Oh well, at least PJ is still alive. We're losing too many of our great singers.
There s a place for Him...in the world stage. My proposition for Mr. Burt Bacharach. Make a record with P.J.Proby. It would be a smash hit! Krzysztof Logan Tomaszewski. Poland.
The challenge is that the speakers of the sound system are at either side of the stage...out of the field of projection for the camera. The band, however, projects from the centre of the stage, thus they are louder from this filming position. This is one reason why it's not always great to get a front row seat...if you want to hear the singer.
@@MrCherryJuice Being in bands for over 50 years myself I know the difference between badly placed speakers, mixing desk problems with radio mics. A threatre the stature of the Palladium would have several speakers at each side of the stage directed to the front and middle rows of the audience. Booked to see him next year on tour.
@@tonyknaggs9763 I too have been in bands for over 50 years (!). I've also been to the London Palladium, where I attended the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert in 2012. I was onstage during soundcheck then up front in the grand circle (balcony) for the show, so didn't have the up-close experience. Great that you are getting to see Proby. I've got the greatest hits CD - he'd been booted by the BBC just around the time I was first hearing of him. He still sounds great.

Não tenho Face para me retratar com a mídia.peço desculpa a você e a mídia pelo ocorrido
Voice oh yup
🎶🎵👍👍👉👉👉
Gene Vincent ran him out of his House ,,when he caught PJ going thru his wardrobe ,
back in the day ,trying on his clothes ...
JImproby
He's being drowned-out by the orchestra but he has a great voice if we could hear it properly.

Camera as blurry as his vision
Sounds like the cowardly Lion singing opera. Lol
So he basically imitated Elvis' voice ? That was his act ? Big deal.
sorry but you have very little culture if you can not hear beauty
