I feel so blessed to have grown up in the 70's & 80's when despite only having 3 channels, tv was great, now it's hundreds of channels of absolute rubbish with very little family tv, R.I.P. Bobby, you brought joy & laughter to millions, thank you.
They used to visit Oldham Rugby club on a Thursday, when it was Disco night. They would get up and do a song. One night it was announced that our local lads were going to be on TV. I met him years later in a flower shop in Oldham. He was blocking the main door. He turned and opening the door for me, he started the conversation with, "Hello Mrs. Woman, was I in your way?" He chatted to me on and off and was exactly the same as on TV. He was often seen around Shaw in Oldham. Great bloke. Glad to know he is safe with Jesus. Love you Bobby. R.I.P.
@@peteb8556 Doesn't mean we live there. Bobby was "an IRA supporter", was he? Bad day for you, pal, seeing as we know more than some nasty little toad spreading vicious rumours on the Internet. Let's all see your proof. Leave your BS out of it and show us your proof. Oh, you don't have any?

This brings back so many happy memories of watching Cannon and Ball and not just thier performance but memories of watching with family some of whom are no longer here. It was a family and show and that's what every family did back then sit down enjoy these shows together. Such a shame those days are gone.
Sadly, they fell out in the 80's, & didn't speak unless onstage, for several years! "They admitted that, during their hey-day of huge popularity in the 1980s, they were barely on speaking terms and would avoid each other completely when not on stage or rehearsing. These tensions-which lasted for 3 years - were later resolved and the two became very close once again." - Wiki
As an Irish person I was lucky to see Cannon and Ball at the height of their fame in Blackpool during the eighties,it was outstanding,I still remember Tommy singing ‘he ain’t heavy he’s my brother’ while holding Bobby in his arms,it now brings tears to my eyes,...Legends.
This was a gem . They really were superb with their unique style .... we all on this earth for a short time .. to make an impact and give pleasure to so many is wonderful ...
I'm 41 now and used to love watching Cannon And Ball on "Tonight At The London Palladium" on a Sunday night when I was 7 to 8-year-old. I still remember it clearly to this day. RIP Bobby
I'm thankful to have been born at a time when we had such great entertainment. From Cannon and Ball Morecambe and Wise the two Ronnie's Norman wisdom Norman collier Les Dawson Laurel and Hardy Ken Dodd and so many more far too many to mention. Talent that can never be equalled or replaced. Rest in peace Bobby and to all those great entertainers we have sadly lost.
This is pure entertainment and with 2 great comedy duo laughter all the way.Bring back thier shows to cheer us up while we are in lockdown it will do wonders
A real pleasure to have met you both at burnley mechanics & bobbys statue unveiling at lytham st annes. Thanks for the memories bobby. Rest in peace sir.
A comedy duo is comprised of two comedians. Bobby was the gag man and Tommy the effortless straight man. Sheer genius. Thank you both for years of laughter. RIP Bobby.
We were so lucky with the number of talented performers we were able to watch growing up, shame variety is dead and we no longer have the singers, comedians/ double acts or variety acts today.
Comedy like this unfortunately is a thing long gone now we live in a state of fear of upsetting someone Slowly loosing our greatest comedians to a future that will be afraid to say anything or laugh God bless and rip xx
I was lucky enough to have seen them in concert. Fantastic then, fantastic now. My thoughts are with Tommy and Bobbys Family. RIP Bobby , youre the best 👍👍👍🙏
Fantastic to see this again after so long ! Reminds me of when my family used to sat down and watch TV together, laughing ! Love the perfect timing of these two, such genuine humour ! RIP Bobby, thanks for the wonderful memories !

Bobby, suddenly gone. Good wholesome entertainment. All you see on TV now are reality/fly-on-the-wall shows. As others have said, so many TV channels now and absolute sh*** on most of them. God Bless you Bobby. R. I. P. 🙏
This is fantastic. Good genuine comedy. Where did the years go. RIP Bobby. Angel's blessings to you, Yvonne, your children and to Tommy. May you all find strength and solace. 🌹🌠
