It must be so devastating for Cannon to come to terms with the loss of Ball after they performed together for over fifty years. My heart goes out to him.
Tommy Cannon is still with us and should also be celebrated. Great team and we overlook their contribution to the 80s. RIP Bobby and thanks for the memories Tommy
Absolutely loved Cannon and Ball when I was little and Bobby made me laugh so much, he was my favourite and this clip reminds me why! Gutted to hear of his passing. RIP Bobby. ❤️
Days when all the family could sit and watch the telly together without fear of smut and swearwords just to get a laugh, RIP Bobby Thanks for making me and many families laugh throughout the years
I think that you can clearly see that in this Royal Variery Show performance, Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball were at the very pinnacle of their careers. They knew what worked and the sketch had everything I think. The wonderful interaction between the two of them, a bit of slapstic, Tommy's wonderful voice and pure wonderful pathos at the end when Tommy carried Bobby off the stage. Truly truly wonderful ! They were a superb comedy act and very very funny. Much much missed and Rest in Peace dear Bobby and thankyou so much for the memories and the laughs.
Hello when I was young, my family and I saw Cannon and Ball at Scarborough and Great Yarmouth, Tommy Cannon spoke to me and picked on me, and Bobby Ball raised his fists at my late Father, I wish that they would bring back Cannon and Ball on TV.
Legends in the double acts along with Morecambe and wise and two ronnies cannon and ball are brilliant on what they did best making people laugh legends
Thanks for this video my friend Loved Cannon and Ball can't stop laughing and crying watching this. Bobby was so funny. I saw them live at the Newcastle City Hall years ago. Brilliant act Rip Bob

Remember going to Nottingham as a boy to see these guys . Absolutely hilarious. My nan laughed so hard she peed herself. If only I knew they were still doing the rounds. God bless Bobby.
Rock on fellas lots of love to you for all you've done down the years. Rock on fellas x You deserve so much more than you had through the years and those who blocked you are a disgrace. Love you guys! !!
I am a "Jilly come lately" to hear and see these gents perform and LOVE how FUNNY and musically talented they are. Bravo and encore, encore...... please.... more, more.
My heart goes out to TOMMY CANNON, I hope he's doing well and staying safe.R.I.P to BOBBY BALL.I bet he and ERIC MORECAMBE, ERNIE WISE and EDDIE LARGE are laughing and having a grand old time up in heaven.
I can remember the wheel tappers and shunters depute, I was a child then. On holiday we went as a family to see Cannon and Ball. I would like to learn together we’ll be ok on musical keyboard RIP Bobby
The legends Cannon and Ball...We saw them at Viva Blackpool about 5 years ago...We ended up part of the show as we were at the front.Bobby was never funnier, and Tommy trying to keep him in line..They were as good as they'd ever been. RIP Bobby ' Rock on ' Tommy...

w o w w o w w o w what a performance filling up tommy when tommy carried bobby off wow rock on tommy love these 2 come back and fill our lives with laughter and bring me sunshine we need you
Rock On Bobby...You'll Do For Me Cocker!! Two comedy legends...RIP Bobby..you're other wife will be lost without you 😥😥😥😥 This man simply had funny bones!!
Apparently they fell out for 3 years then made up. They were together just about 50 years so it's understandable they had the odd fall out but they still loved each other and that's what counts. RIP Bobby.
The parts where Bobby singles out someone in the audience, went to see them when I was a kid, sat in the front row and he did that to me. I'm from Oldham like these two, not much makes me proud of that but that does
I am staggered by the derogatory comments and the ignorance expressed in these comments. In point of fact, the timing displayed in this sequence is as near perfect as it’s possible to achieve in comedy.Maybe your problem is closer to home!
Ian Jenkins So presumably, if we carry your ludicrous argument further can we assume that great material will still be great with bad timing?Watch Bobby Ball again. Now tell me that is lame material. He is a natural comic who can reproduce the antics of the mouthy coward as well as anyone I’ve seen.
I was spoilt by Morecambe and Wise, The Two Ronnies, The Goon Show, Monty Python - I never got Cannon & Ball or, even worse, Little and Large. Maybe my timing wasn't quite right!
They were great, the British Abbot and Costello just not as famous ,but they were the British version were Eric and Ernie were the British Laurel and Hardy .
Pretty sure Tommy really wanted to be a singer. There's a very early video of them in the Wheeltappers and Shunters Club where Tommy really showed off a great voice and Bobby looked about 18 years old. Since they weren't at all topical and don't really have jokes per se the act has aged well. It's basically a love-hate relationship thing and I understand it ended with hate. Probably an occupational hazard of working very closely with one person. I understand the Laurel and Hardy and Morecambe and Wise were friends to the end though.
kitschetc The fact that you used the word 'terrible', shows that you are a very compassionate person. I can think of 10 words that are more to the point....
It must be so devastating for Cannon to come to terms with the loss of Ball after they performed together for over fifty years. My heart goes out to him.
I saw an interview of Tommy talking about it, the poor guy looked absolutely devastated. It was very uncomfortable viewing, I felt so sad for him.

I used to laugh at these great comedians,I don’t laugh anymore. Just trying to think who can match them nowadays. No one
When television was great...not the pathetic shambles it is now
not only funny as but could both sing xxxxxxxxxxx
The best double act since Morcambe & Wise.
I am staggered by the derogatory comments and the ignorance expressed in these comments. In point of fact, the timing displayed in this sequence is as near perfect as it’s possible to achieve in comedy.Maybe your problem is closer to home!
Stupid comment. Perfect timing my arse. Timing is irrelevant if the material is lame.
Ian Jenkins
So presumably, if we carry your ludicrous argument further can we assume that great material will still be great with bad timing?Watch Bobby Ball again. Now tell me that is lame material. He is a natural comic who can reproduce the antics of the mouthy coward as well as anyone I’ve seen.
So timing is all that matters? Is that your argument? Well, go and enjoy.
Ian Jenkins
Not in the least but comic timing is at the heart of great comedy. The sketch isn’t the strongest but it’s beautifully carried off.
BETT MIDDLER jesus !!!! no idea ppl talk bout u 2 haha

What's the name of the song they sung?
really funny till the singing starts
They were both good singers.
I only laughed at him once, because he died lol
Such a comedian...not
Is this supposed to be funny? It's terrible!!
+kitschetc and you are? irrelevant.
and considering they're still successful and still doing their job.. don't think there is too much wrong with that!
kitschetc The fact that you used the word 'terrible', shows that you are a very compassionate person. I can think of 10 words that are more to the point....
Better than the comedians today are crap
really bad
About as funny as Aids
You can get treatment for it. Best of luck.
Good luck with that
