I’ve been trying, unsuccessfully, to find an answer to this:
Can I control the lights individually from the app? E.g. if I have each light set to different channels, can I control the power for each light separately? Quite important before I purchase so if you know or can test, can you let me know?

Great question I haven’t tried this but I believe you can because you can change channels tho it wouldn’t be very seamless or easy you’d probably have to change the WiFi each time
With controlling all lights at once, doesn't it have to be on the Wifi setting in order to use the app?
Can't seem to get control of them unless in wifi setting, then they are all separately controllable depending on proximity.

Thanks Ben! It looks like I have to remain on the GVM Led wifi every time I need to adjust the light through the app. Can you confirm that this is the case? That wifi says "weak security" which is a bit concerning.

Hi is there any Apps that will let you preset scene so with a press of one button you can move from scene to the next scene where in every scene there is a different setting for every light ? my question is general so if GVM don't have this option I will like to know what compony do have this option with there lights

Does this app work with the 80W Monolight?? Maybe that's why I'm not able to connect to this wifi address.
When you have more than one, does the app allow different settings for each light independently, or do they always have to be identical?
You can change them separately by setting the lights to their own channel then changing which channel you are on in the app

As always if you need to know anything about lighting or gear just hit up Ben's channel. Thank you Ben I have been having a hell of a time getting my light to connect. All working now as far as changing the setting on the master and the slave will follow but the all will still not work
I did this but I had gvm2 app but for some reason my buttons in the back do not work to switch channels or change the brightness

Sort of, you just have to switch which device you are connected to when you want to change the control

All depends on the type of look you're going for, how large the room is, etc. But these definitely are powerful lights

Any idea how to do it on the 5S? It has no screen and the on/off button is also marked as the mode button. I tried double press and long press and nothing seems to change. I cannot see the wi-fi
I'm not sure, the app is finicky for sure
@benjohnsoncreative I asked GVM directly and they said 5S doesn't have any wireless control capabilities, only the 7S. I returned it and ordered some Viltrox S05 s and an RB9, which I fully recommend. They work with the app flawlessly, just enable BT and start the app, no bullshit permissions and asking for account or data.
Thanks for this, it got me much further than I would have on my own but unfortunately it still spins and says connecting even though the wifi is correct now... any ideas I got nowhere with the actual product support

hi i have a question do you see your self when you talk to camera (a screen that facing you) or diricly look at lens without seeing your self?
Great question! I look directly in lens while talking, but I have a monitor next to the camera for setting up and checking

Hi Ben, this is great but you missed one piece, how do I connect to multiple lights but control them differently? I want to be able to set one light blue and one light red, the app has multiple channels for this.
Set each light on their own respective channels
@@benjohnsoncreative I tried that, so when I change channels it changes the channel of the one I'm connected to.

Seen a lot of people make videos on this company's lights. How many different key lights have you used before?
Quite a lot, and I don’t recommend these for key lights, I recommend them for lighting your environment (background etc) if you want color
For key lights I recommend fotodiox flapjacks :)

@ They are not quite soft enough. There are better options out there for key lights. These ones are a little harsh

@@benjohnsoncreative I was able to figure it out, I had to use the GVM II app instead after multiple attempts on both but once I got it to work the one time and slave the second light it’s been working fine every time. I appreciate your video bro.
OMG. These lights should be simple to use, but they are a total nightmare!! Just found your video and tried to set up my remote and NOTHING is working!! I changed the wifi setting to the one you suggested and still NOTHING. Is there anyway I can operate these LED lights manually, without the remote??
Is that id and password for every light dosnt vary
Great question I can’t confirm because i don’t have every light, but I would suppose the password and Id would be provided to them in the manual of all of their lights

Is there any other way to remotely control the gvm lights without using the official app? The app is pretty awful honestly and would rather use a streamdeck or other solution.
Not that I know of but I will look into it, you might be able to do DMX with them

You begin by showing the GVMEasily App screens, but then you show color adjustment screens that are not part of my GVMEasily App for the Bi-Color LED 480 LS lights. They appear to be part of an app for the multi color LED light panels. Total confusion.
For the Bi-Color LED 480 LS lights there seems to be no mode selection capability on the lights, so I was hoping that your video would explain how to create a master light, and then slave lights using the GVMEasily App. Your video seems to be a combination of information for two different models of GVM lights and Apps. I could sure use some clear help here. I have 10 GVM LED 480 LS lights that I would like to control as a group, since they are on the ceiling and unreachable, except by step ladder.
My video is for the gvm50rs lights, as that is the lights I have and it’s what I made the video for
Gvm is all over the place with their apps and it’s a mess
This video is also pretty old now, and things could have changed and that’s out of my control
No joy connecting.. been at it an hour now... really user unfriendly..

I want to inform your viewers to NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS!!! They are absolute GARBAGE! One minute they connect and the next they don’t. They just updated the app today and NOTHING WORKS!!!!! Buy the Colbor lights!!! GVM are junk!!!
I find that most apps don’t work well. The lights themselves are good but the apps tend to be trash
@@benjohnsoncreative Actually the Color app works EVERY TIME! I've had that light for 4 months now an NEVER had an issue connecting! The issue is MOST DEFINITELY GVM and their app!
