Not only would Batman: Beyond be a money printer, it'd be an opportunity to introduce the Batman: Beyond era to the mainstream.

Yes, I can't see any reason why it couldn't be a literal revolution for the character in popular culture. I personally think it would be extremely successful with the younger, modern fans of the Spider-verse.

Do I want an animated Batman Beyond film? Yes.
But honestly, I feel DC would be more likely to make it live-action than animation.
Side note: when Bruce hung up the cape after almost needing a gun, that was a powerful moment that deserves some expansion.

Batman:Beyond
The aftermath of the Origin story, so basically Terry just started in his career and his main focus is to still take down Derek Powers once and for all and Bruce adjusting Terry's focus in the right direction as Batman. Derek Powers himself focusing on Two things, Revenge against the New Batman and keeping the GCPD and District Attorney off his tail after finding out the plane that crash belonged to him and he has found two people who could to do that.
Ink, a Shapshifter to assassinate Barbara Gordon and Sam Young.
Walter Shriev, an Employee working on sound manipulation.
Terry has the find the balance in saving these people, fighting these people and just being Batman in general.
The Sequel could focus on Mr. Freeze and his return to Society, Terry trusting he has change and Bruce never letting old wounds go. As Terry continues to investigate he discovers what happened to Derek Powers, Victor slowly returning to the Monster that he was and what he has to do before death.
The Final Film Return of the Joker and the final battle against Blight.
Instead of Cadmus Technology altering Tim's DNA, it was Trauma, pure Trauma that never left him, the Scars, Physical and mental still alive and what awoke this trauma was the Return of the Batman and his Battle against Blight everything Tim been through, everything Joker has done to him returns, and what Joker turned him into has awaken.
FYI I know not everyone is a comic geek/ nerd ( ✊🏾 to be one) , but Terry McGinnis has had several runs in the comics 🖖🏾

We really want Batman Beyond movie for so long, but instead WB just decided to deny this animated movie! This goes without further a doubt that I'm gonna have to say this to WB: "What a bunch of A-holes!" I really do hope we get the Batman Beyond movie sooner or later! And I along with many serious DC fans have been waiting decades since the 80's for WB to bring Brainiac onto the big screen (live action film) to fight Superman but instead they keep screwing us by recycling Lex Luthor and General Zod instead which really puts me off and I don't want them to start constantly overusing Doomsday either.

That's crazy... Batman Beyond was loved by the fans. He was hardly "unknown". People were excited about Rocksteady making a Batman Beyond game (last two games had his suit as skins) , and people were excited at the idea of Clint Eastwood, or Michael Keaton playing old man Wayne.

@snarkyjay You mean the casual audience that doesn't make them the most money or buy general merch? Miles was unknown until they made a film off him. Not every fan reads the comics. Terry would be the exact same for actual fans who make them most money. Word of mouth from fans can pull a casual in.

Rocksteady too cancelled a Batman Beyond game, sequel to Knight, and they made Suicide Squad Kill Rocksteady instead.
That game pisses me off just to THINK about.

@@snarkyjay Lots of us want to see more of the DC lore, but also, we want to see what the studio denied us get brought to life in live action.
Terry McGinnis has been around over a decade longer and Miles Morales a deeper cut and Spider Verse still blew up. WB has a history of making tons and tons of mistakes and do not like making money, which had been proven as they changed hands several times.
Everyone loves Miles, I don’t doubt they’d love Terry too.

I will never stop being mad over this. Batman Beyond would’ve been a huge money maker for Warner Bros. We’ve been a long time for more Batman Beyond cocntent. Seeing Terry taking the mantle again as Batman would be fresh content. He is Bruce’s successor. I hope one day we get to see Terry again putting on the suit, especially in that concept art style. That concept art for Batman Beyond is beautiful 😍
God this is so disappointing, Batman Beyond was so good. The last episode even reveals that Terry is a CLONE of Bruce.

I’m worried about how modern Hollywood would handle Terry. The animation is perfect for a Batman Beyond flick, but they’d need a director that understands the lore and wants to tell a faithful adaptation the fans can get behind
Want this movie made? The next time they reboot the Batman (Bruce Wayne) origin story ..and they will because WB sucks ... organize a global boycott of it, because as long as they can make a nickel off telling the same story over and over that's what they'll do.

At first i wasn't really into the idea of a Batman Beyond animated movie. But the more i hear about it. The more I'm convince that that they should do it. I did prefer a live action movie/series instead but it will honestly take alot longer to make than it will with a animated movie. Plus you are right. We've waited long enough to see Terry's Batman and i don't want to wait any longer. No other better time to make a Batman Beyond movie than now especially if its from the guys that made The Spider Verse films.
If they made a Batman Beyond movie, they would want to open with old Bruce Wayne, ala Logan, tired, maybe walking around the batcave, seeing the Jason Todd costume. Maybe the news in the background is that Harvey or Penguin or somebody died today of old age in Arkham. The audience is brought up to speed immediately and on familiar ground, assured this is still Bruce Wayne. Or maybe he visits Joker in Arkham and he's got Alzheimer, and Batman says something about him always in the back of his mind thinking this is just an elaborate trick, but after years, he's starting to believe Joker is really gone mentally. Wouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes at the opening. Then you could go right into action. On the way home a woman gets mugged, Bruce tried to intervene, just gets knocked down, since he is much older. Sets up him wanting to defend his city but can't, which leads us to the need for Terry. Wouldn't be that hard to write.

Yuhki Demers & Patrick Harpin should create a 5 minute movie of Batman Beyond and post it to social media. Then pitch the movie again to DC/WB with the positive feedback from fans. Then maybe they'll get the green light.
The concept art for the Batman beyond suit on Justin Gordon Levitt has a redesigned futuristic bat wing that is reminiscent of the other Christopher Nolan designs the angular brutal esque shapes of nolan's batman trilogy. What I find interesting is that Disney and Warner Brothers are backing away from the multiverse concept while simultaneously signing on paper deals to open up the possibility of an amalgam universe it really is like the wrong answers only type of Facebook quiz isn't it?
I've been saying this around the Internet for a couple of times but unfortunately Dwayne the rock Johnson was not fully simulated when he was set to impale himself on his own petard trying to rescue the DC EU; we're all supposed to believe that nobody told Dwayne the rock Johnson that Black Adam fighting with Superman is the stupidest idea ever because if Black Adam flicks superman's nose because Superman is 100% vulnerable to magic that Black Adam may accidentally snap superman's face off of his face, boomerang man with a magical boomerang could one shot Clark and his Dome, a speedster with a magical butter knife would find out just how much magic affects the strength of his own hand because the knife would go in but his musculature might damage the speedsters hand.

Have Arthur Fleck dance his way through the multiverse like the flash on crack, produce 5 high quality music videos for the Penguin show the Batman movie and try and do like a short film 4 how Joaquin phoenix's joker is the same joker as Nolan maybe hinted, when the joker makes a whole bunch of money and everyone is about to make bad decisions based on one brief moment of popularity take that popularity and make a double secret Batman beyond film with Justin Gordon Levitt and the Christopher Nolan universe and if you can have it directed by Christopher Nolan or produced by Christopher Nolan that'll help. Have season 2 of peacemaker stick actual autistic children's head in toilets and flush their hair down the toilet bowl while screaming something about the canonicity of actual Canon religions versus comic books, make sure to include peacemaker crying like he's Bruce Wayne that his parents are dead. Heard that same robot brain demographic by having the Zoe Kravitz Catwoman television movie for HBO be a direct sequel to Penguin without ever telling anyone that it's a sequel per se, hopefully the Batman movie that is being created right now is already a no man's land adaptation, with Mr. freeze building off of the Penguin and other realistic Batman villains hopefully nobody listens to the horribly and horribly popular advice of somehow trying to fit clayface into the Reeves verse before Pattinson sees Cornsweat. Drop a Wonder Woman versus Black Adam film three months after the Batman beyond film and preceding a emperor joker Snyder verse rising from the ashes! 2025-2029/30.

I worked at WB for years. I cannot tell you how disconnected the suits are from reality. It makes no sense.
In the alternate reality where James Gunn follows up and offers you the role of Catwoman, I'd grab a ticket to watch that film.

That being said, I can't fault James Gunn for passing on the numerous people coming to him with ideas when he's tasked with rebooting the entire DCEU. He has to get the train working first before it starts hauling things.
When he is in the middle of filming the new Superman movie, he is not in a place to entertain ideas about a version of Batman that's not going to line up with the Superman he's working on, or even with "The Batman 2" being made, he has to keep things organized so the general audience doesn't get too confused.
I was so excited for this because I grew up loving the show and it broke my heart too hear it wasn’t happening..

Very true! And with live action, WB missed the boat casting Keaton as old man Bruce and having a new actor play Terry. But these companies are allergic as you said to money. It's surprising what is greenlit between WB, Hasbro, Disney, etc. This would fit so well with the love Spider-verse got.
Batman Beyond is such a unique and interesting character, I remember watching it on Netflix (when it was added to the streaming service at the time when I was a kid) and everything was such outstanding with the music and the voice acting as well with animation. Seeing how Warner and DC not want to get it on the big screen is kind of rage inducing since DC and Warner when it comes to the executives almost seem jaded when it comes to their slate of projects that were hits like James Gunn’s suicide squad and Peacemaker…. Then there some that are uuhhhhhhh….. yeah- we don’t talk about those, the point is that DC and Warner themselves are lacking in the imagination and Batman Beyond will deliver with Demers and Harpin at the helm if the studios are on board with them, the story and the way characters are handled with care and treated with respect and allowing audiences to resonate and relate with

Terry McGinnis is actually a clone of Bruce Wayne created by an aging Amanda Wyler who felt the world will always need a Batman which I saw on one of the episodes of the Justice League Unlimited I believe on cartoon network when I was much younger.I spent a lot of lonely nights watching cartoons network.
I wish Yuki Demers and Patrick got a hold of the Sonic movies before the live action version we got now was even a thing.
The Return of the Joker in this style is my dream movie. Especially the the Tim Drake flashback. Still the most riveting and unsettling storyline in Batman cinematic history.

A lot of people say that WB is failing because there's too many cooks in the kitchen. I disagree. These people aren't cooks. I wouldn't trust them to make me a bowl of cereal because they'd screw it up.

Batman TAS was a little before my time, though of course I knew of him because of re-runs, movies, Justice League TAS, and (OF COURSE) the Scooby Doo crossovers. That being said, Batman Beyond was the main Batman show I grew up with, so Terry was MY Batman for a while. I always wanted a movie or new TV show. Fingers remain crossed for that day.

I have no idea how Batman Beyond would do with mainstream audience but I would love it and think it could easily be popular if done right. Not only do I really want a Batman Beyond movie but also want a game (Yeah I know it was an idea and cancel by Rocksteady...). There's so many stories that could be told within the world.
PS: There can be no product or brand confusion in terms of "Batman Beyond" versus Robert Pattinson's "The Batman", that is a misdirect by the studio. I think I understand their strategy on Batman Beyond. Batman Beyond is a relatively new copyright and trademark. As such, it may be more valuable than the original Batman...due to Batman's copyright and trademark lapsing in 10 years. Batman Beyond's copyright and trademark won't lapse for at least 55 years.
Warner Brothers is likely holding back Batman Beyond for any likely buyout deal of the company - so if Universal, Apple, Netflix, or say Disney were to agree to purchase Warner Brothers...they can make Batman Beyond...and it wont be perceived as being tarnished...as someone else's IP.
Lastly, the comic book movie is largely dead. It's best to wait until the public is interested again. That said, I'd hire "Dune" director Denis Villeneuve or Gareth Edwards to make a live-action version. I'd shoot and release 4 to 5 movies before the main Batman copyright lapses. Why? When that happens, everybody and their brother will release Batman movies - crowding the market.

It's sad, that this will never come to fruition; especially when Batman Beyond had some wild villains like INK, and Jason Powers (remember Wayne/Powers).
But the real dowfall is that a movie could have been made years ago; while Kevin Conroy was still alive to voice old Bruce.

I remember seeing a Batman Beyond animated movie on the cartoon network when I was much much younger.They introduced the Joker which was a mess considering that one of the Robins who had retired would turn into him after the Joker did something terrible to him and at the time Damien Wayan wasn't created yet so it's a mess..
If this has already been said, I apologize. But in one Batman Beyond storyline you find out the reason Terry looks like Bruce is because he's a clone of Bruce. Amanda Waller came to the conclusion there needed to always be a Batman, so she got some of Bruce's DNA and was able to make a clone.
The gave him to a couple who had no children and caused a similar thing to happen to Terry that happened to Bruce when he was a child. Watching his adopted parents die in a crime.
I forget how he came around to becoming the new Batman, but here we are. Hopefully I'm remembering it correctly.

Batman was iconic, but I preferred Batman Beyond after it came out. Kevin Conroy as a grumpy old former hero, and Will Friedl as the “up and comer,” it had a great character dynamic and visual style. This would be a GREAT movie.

Mind you WB thought it was a great idea to make a live service looter shooter Suicide Squad game rather than a proper new Batman Arkham game, a Superman game, a Flash game or a Justice League game so this doesn't surprise me one bit
I was about ten/eleven years old when they first introduced Batman Beyond and i loved it. Seeing the future of any comic universe is always very exciting. In addition we have the Old Man Logan comics, The Wolverine comic also essentially depicting old man logan, one of the punisher comics took us to a future where old man Castle lived through the nuclear devastation of the world, and I'm sure there are others which i am unaware of. I think many would agree with me that this sort of story is always exciting.
I suppose, as Marvel is doing a multiverse scenario with their character, DC could have a time travel aspect with both Bruce Wayne Batman and Terry McGinnis Batman. That way you bring in both normies for classic Batman and introduce them to Beyond, as well as serving fans of both iterations.
Nobody heard of Guardian's of The Galaxy either and look how that worked out
DC animated has always been so solid too. I've always thought the animated teams should have been ported over for their film universe but I don't logic exists in Hollywood.

Well....i wasnt expecting that and your 100% right BB is awesome but no one's used to him and he's not truly relatable. I have a suggestion (maybe you can pitch to DC). Do what was done with Batman begins and the very first Batman 1989 movie, DC should stop, take a break and go on hibernation for a little while. Then re-create The Batman character again. And most importantly get a whole new staff, writers, directors, casting agents and i mean people who've actually grown up with and read the dam comics like we all did and make an actual tangible Batman character and script. And by the way even though she's asian i think you would make the perfect "Dana" character and if you dont remember that was Terry's girlfriend, dont you agree Lady J 👌🥰👌

Batman beyond is one of the greatest cartoon shows to ever hit television right next to dragon Ball z and Yu - Yu Hakusho. I hope and pray to God that this project sees the light of day because I really want to see it on the big screen.

What makes Terry McGinnis such a great character is that he is (SPOILER ALERT! for those who don’t know) Bruce Wayne’s direct DNA clone, or son depending how you look at it. No joke

I have the Beyond series and have watched it all several times. It is a fantastic take on the character and leaves open so many New Possibilities for even more stories. If we can have multiverses then why not this version of Batman???? Not a tough sell WB.

If you know James Gunn like I do, you know that James Gunn is on record saying his favorite super hero film is: Into the Spiderverse.
You also know that he inclines towards stories over just style.
I'm trying to drop clues that you have nothing to worry about.. the people who said no are not James Gunn..they are the studio heads predating his involvement in development. THERE WILL BE A BATMAN BEYOND MOVIE UNDER GUNN. There is a specific plan that has already been charged connecting films and videogames. Terry McGinnis can not be onscreen before Damian Wayne. With Warner Bros banking on Robert Pattinson's young Bruce Wayne, they may be too scared to show an old Bruce Wayne again, especially after The Flash did poorly. I really hope they change their minds, old Bruce was done really well as a mentor and Terry McGinnis was a great Batman.

That is very disappointing. They should do an animated Batman Beyond movie. It could be good. I enjoyed the show from the 2000s. So long as they don't change anything for the "modern audience"🙄 or if they made one that is more in line with the 90s cartoon series. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is one of the best Batman movies ever. Superb animation, great new villain, the BEST Joker, really fun twist, and great voice acting. I watch it at least once a year on vhs, and 30 years later it is still such a sight to behold. Anyway, blerp blerp..

Animated movie like the miles spidverse movies would have been dope but imagine either a live action movie or even a mini series? I'm thinking blade runner meets watchmen would be amazing. Also maybe cast him as an Asian or even hispanic actor
WB right now are very, very careful about what movies they greenlight. They just got their head above water financially so they aren't about to take a risk on a relatively unknown character right now. Down the line if Gunn's new DC movies make money then yeah, they might reconsider and personally I loved Batman Beyond, but I understand their reluctance as a business to not risk money on this property right now.
James Gunn seems to have one set of tricks in his wheel house. While I liked all the GotG movies, I liked each one less than the one before it. Similar pacing, similar jokes, the emotional scene, rinse, & repeat.

Absolutely right, but you'll get the Gunn-heads gunning for you. With his Superman Legacy, you can already see one of his weaknesses -- he can't seem to make anything outside an ensemble piece. He can't seem to focus on a singular character. He's already creating another troupe of main characters besides Superman to no doubt bounce jokes off of, instead of focusing on a singular impactful narrative. I'm just wondering what cgi mascot character he's going to squeeze in this time.
What only fans of Batman Beyond know is that Terry is genetically a clone of Bruce thanks to Amanda Waller. Having that as part of Terry's backstory would ease fair weather fans who don't want to have a Batman that's not Bruce Wayne. Plus, the suit is just technological badassary.
Too bad we couldn’t get a live action Batman Beyond. Done right it could be one of the best Batman films to date. Having flashbacks of Bruce when he was younger with Jay as Catwomen of course 😅!
At least for now Batman Beyond/Terry McGinnis is coming back in Justice League Crisis on infinite Earths Part 2 on April 23rd 2024, with Will Friedle reprising his role from Batman Beyond.
Kevin Conroy will also return as the DC Animated Universe Batman for Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths part 3.
If they did this, I really hope they bring back Will Friedle. That would be awesome.
Oh! And maybe Michael Keaton can voice Bruce since, RIP Kevin Conroy, and they’re not releasing that Batgirl movie.
