Dont worry. it will soon get reworked, it gets a fourth type of ammunition which can be fired like an artillery shell, dealing up to 1200 dmg with the same reload, and because its hesh it will have 230 mm of pen... oh and dispersion stays the same so dont worry :)

Not really... it's a WZ-132 with better frontal armor, a lower profile, better gun depression and handling, and slightly better mobility. Oh, and it's a credit farming premium. :) (yes, I have both.)
The only reason the gun depression works is that the engineers chopped off most of the gun breech; bullets are now propelled at the targets by the cold, dead hand of Stalin rising up from the grave.

@@zava5025 the tank is programmed to have 7 degrees of gun depression in the game despite a pancake turret. That's what it says on all of the websites, this isn't about camera manipulation and effective depression, this is about wargaming programming a flat turret to be able to depress a gun 7 degrees when all most any depression would be a stretch realistically.

It's pretty poor since armour argument is explained by the armor angles. It's not exactly that thick just insanely sloped. The gun depression is fair enough however.

@@solace6633 I think bringing up the armor is a fair point. The lt-432 has better turret armor than the tech tree t8 Russian light tank (the turret having 160mm - 100mm). This tank has comparable armor to the to Russian light and to medium tanks, yet moves at 70 km/hr while a centurion moves at 50 km/hr.
To put it bluntly, your example of the armor being angled is what makes it strong is a straw man argument since it's thicker than most heavy tanks in regards to the turret and thicker than most medium tanks that are at the same tier.
I haven't even mentioned that it's the ONLY light tank (aside from the chinese variant) that has thick armor. Every other light tank at t8 has less than 50mm all around armor and some move slower than the lt-432 with comparable guns (some being less powerful). If that's not Russian bias at its finest then I'd suggest moving back to your homeland in Russia.

Play Armored Warfare. PVE has some good elements but PVP is almost as bad as WOT for toxic teammates etc.

This thing wasn't designed by Soviet engineers in the 1950s, it was designed by a WG employee in Minsk who decided to merge a T64 prototype with an Object 775 missile tank and give it -7 degrees of gun depression.
Well the other BS tank is the Renault FT-17 BS the French tier II arty was named that because BS is the abbreviation of the company that made the artillery piece they slapped on the hull of the Renault. The BS is fitting because as with most low tier French vehicles (excluding tanks like the AMX 40 Duck and the Tier I Renault FT) it is kinda crap.

Personally I think they've been watching too many cartoons and can therefore increase the gun depressionm by painting the inside of the turret to look bigger therefore de facto making it so, much in the way a certain rapid bird could paint a tunnel on a cliff face and run through it. Either that or they have a Timelord on their side which would probably have resulted in *much* bigger guns so I believe that the first possibility is much more likely.

Gun depression/elevation is indeed limited by the breech block. The easiest way for an engineer to create insane gun elevation/depression is to NOT model a breech block in the design. Thereafter, he can go to the factory workers and tell them to make the tank exactly as the technical drawing illustrates. Every problem that arises can be dedicated to the tank being a prototype or new technology. How dare one question an engineer's stupendous brilliance, or his gender these days, when it is in fact reality that should warp around the marvel of the engineer's creation.
My mechanical engineering classmates were completely certain that the easiest way to design a photocopier is to create a box that can fit a very cheap labourer with paper and a pencil. As you can see, one does not simply question the astuteness of the engineers' grandness in mental prodigy.

I have a sound explaination for the 7° of gun depression! Its wargaming, chances are they didnt think about it and just applied it.

To be honest half of their line shouldnt have that gundepresion hahahah but they do. I could also shit talk some other tanks as well that are not russian that have that dun depresion. Only 1 line is actually completelly fine when it comes to gun depresion in all of its tanks premium or not and its german line. Even on some german tanks gun depresion could be much bigger then 8 but it is not. Tho I must say that next line that is mostlly balanced about it is American :D in my honest opinion.

iirc the Soviet Matilda tank magically had something like 20 degrees of depression (more than the British tank with the 2 pounder at the time) when in reality it had about 3.
"more armour than a tiger II" well, but you see, jingles. the tiger 2 is German. that's the wrong side. the wrong side is everybody but russia. but hey no, the tiger [NOT tiger II, talking about normal one here] can't be at tier 6 because it's alleged singular advantage of a good gun is broken at that tier..... a gun which it could never mount. bitter? me? never. I stopped playing a long time ago. I went down the german tree first. I was playing since the beta, and avoided the german tech tree after that for a reason.
I'm aware there are competitive tanks in different nations, but... jeeze, there's 2 tier six models of the tiger in-game. they're there for a reason. (HT#6, tiger 131... apparently they added tiger 217, too?! also at tier 6?! god damn WG.)
the majority of the effectiveness of pen' stats for the Kw.K 41 L56, IRL-History, seem to match more closely those ingame of the Kw.K 43 L71 on targets at paddling-side on 90degree angles - barring shell speeds differences.
The WG 88's are typically roughly downgraded by upto an average of 20%, pen'-wise, that they took from the already understating figures of the Panzerwaffe's (whos pen value are of targets at 30degrees off angling,) & end of war capture tests literatures.
Does this mean the ingame 'Tigers' are weak, yes, no, depends on the player, their crews number of skills and selections chosen of them, the team make ups, the map & terrain knowledge & utilising it effectively, tactical and strategic strategies, usage of situations to escape, attack, find cover or relocate in time etc, let alone RNG & Lady Luck.
Let alone the soul destroying recent rise of the last few years of lemming train players throwing & tilting battles when 70%>+ of team seem to collectively possess the intellect of an jealously angry orange.
Don't trust the amrour, use terrain slope angles to modifiy your effective armour values, and don't think like a KV/IS driver in only using left/right hull & turret anglings, use multiple direction of slope angles under your vehicle to massively increase the effective-compound-angling armour values, thus increasing possible l*ck of bounces at ranges from incoming over 250m+ away..
The 88's can be trollish, but most of the time the AP will work well enough, if you don't expect perfection alll and every shot, and they reload fast too, even with the recent/propossed slight nerfs & buffs.
_stock 0.38 to modifiers effective 0.27 dispersion means, Expect an Average of 3 of 8 (down to 2 of 7) shots likely will miss at any and all ranges; and it will usually be better than that for you if you keep this in mind - positive thinking, with 80% of hits doing damage if non-criticals._

@@kre1187 all the german big cats are power creeped to some or more dire extents, that being said, they are still can be dangerous to many enemies when used well, they are not Soviet/Russian 'easy mode' tanks.
The tier 6 tiger E/1's (HT#6 Tora & Tiger 131) are the least power creeped, then the Tiger 1 & VK.45.03 (H), and finally the Tiger B/II being the one needing the most thinking to operate well verses many vehicles designed to survive or fight it equally that have better armour, mobility or weaponry.
But I do think one way that could easily improve and lessen the creeps effects somewhat is to give the 88's (all L56's & L71's) weapon pen' & shell speed values that are closer to the average of real specs, than those currently used ingame, IMHO
No offence meant, I am not the best player, (EU, Razor1uk) I try to team play to win, always trying to go to weaker map side &/or proper positions when possible and never following lemming trains as they leave the map open to the enemy iniative as they struggle & fail to find a working tactical braincell between themselves.
I have only a few thousand battles in the 1, Tora, II and the '03' [VK.45.03 (H) Pz.Kpfw VI.ausf.B, the 3rd of the 'Tiger' konzepts]. And I cannot speak of Panther II or any of the E series, as I have not got any of those yet myself.

Anyway, yes I agree, the easiest way for WG to buff the tigers would be to buff the 88s to their proper pen values. I'm not saying buff them into brawling heavies, rather buff them to their strengths, which is a more 2nd line support role. However I wouldnt be opposed to some small armor buffs so they could at least kinda brawl if needed though.
@@kre1187 Tiger 1 2nd turret with improved cupola really needs its 35mm thick roof plates as the 3rd, heaviest turret option,
..with the 2nd turret option then being the early cupola type turret and current 25mm roof being the same as weight as those of the 131/231/HT#VI, this 2nd turret option cannot mount the L71.
None of the Early or Late Production Tiger 1 turrets should have the 105mm/L45 or L48 weapon option, keep that for the Vk.36.01 style stock turret cannon options.
The Tiger B ammo 8cm KwK-43/L71 AP & APBCR are under-sped by roughly 90m/s to 140+m/s, and under vastly penned, while the HE is very over-sped by close to 170m/s - but its pen values are close to enough to accurate at 90 or 96 mm.
Also Tiger II/B needs its 45mm turret roof, currently it has the same Tiger 35mm - I believe.
I am not sure what the buffs might be coming in a patch soon/already (1.9.0) but it T-II did get some minor armour buffs I think, can't remember.

Yeah it's funny how there are tanks in this game that clearly have enough room in the turret to have more gun depression, but they don't (because wargaming). Oh if you want to see another BS Russian tank with bs gun depression, go to tanks.gg and look at K-91(tier 10) gun depression at the front corners of the tank(over the tracks). The gun clearly hits the tracks

I think that's if you look at it from a General's view point. From a front line soldier's stand point and a tank designer who's told, "Make something or die." I don't think the amount of Marks, Dollars, Pounds, Rubles, Francs, Liras, Yen, or whatever is locally used during the war, is on the minds of the soldiers in battle. Not saying the quartet isn't a thing, I'm just saying that it's all about who you ask, the ones funding it; building it; or using it.
Gun, armor, mobility, and availability.
Availability is a combination of cost of vehicle (so you can have lots of them like the Sherman or T34) and maintainability (so that they don't break down on the way to the battle)
I was kind of sure I am that Caernarvon at the end, as I remember myself panicking like that few weeks ago - what a light tank could do to my flanks, after all? But it wasn't me :)

While this is a typically overpowered Russian premium tank, Edvin's game play was outstanding. He deserved the win and he did fool the ISU at the end by waiting. The ISU had turned about 20 degrees to the left and couldn't recover. Really great game and your commentary was as entertaining as ever.
The reason for the good gun depression is not cheating, but down to Ivan's good friend Boris. Boris is a man-mountain, grew up on a a farm, and developed muscles that enabled him to move whole haystacks on his pitchfork. Now Boris is the gun loader on the LT 43210 and when called for, puts his massive shoulders under a special harness at the rear of the turrent and lifts the rear off the turret ring for greater gun depression. Simple, but effective Russian technology!

If you want a real engineering answer the gun depression could be explained by where the actually gun breach was position and where the pivot for the the tank starts. If I could get my hands on the blue prints which I can't I could answer this 100% but it seems plausible that 7° of gun depression could go with this tank
Actually Jingles, the Armor of Russian Tanks in WoT is that good because it was actually that good.
The Composite armor of Soviet Tanks behaved much like the modern Chobham Armor packages, filled with Quarz in some instances, the Turrets of Soviet Tanks SHOULD actually only take reduced damage from HEAT in the game (for some form of balancing) but in real life they were pretty much impenetrable by HEAT shells of anything smaller than, lets say an ISU 152´s HEAT rounds or bigger.
Composite armor also gives Standard AP shells a harder time penetrating, probably because the quarz behaves like the Ceramics in modern Applique armor, shattering, turning into dust that is then compressed by the Shell itself and increase its protective capabilities, but thats just a guess.
Same goes for APCR, it might have a more concentrated poweroutput, but the Quarz inside the Tank-Turrets has nowhere to go and could probably stop them almost as well as the AP shells.
I´m not gonna attempt to excuse all the other Bullshit, but the Armor i think is pretty legit.
Anybody remembers the Missions from Battlefield 4? Yep the same issue in WoT or any other game with such unlock missions, it FORCES you to play badly as the requireements to fulfill such missions are so fucking arbitrary that you will practically never get them just "by playing". Its one of the main resons i stopped playing WoT (beside the broken economy) ...
Pretty sure they do that with all nations Jingles. Maybe because wargaming games tend to have spent all their budget on making the graphics look good, with everything else being an afterthought. "Hans, icht propose ein panzer, here ist der drawing on mein hanky". It's what you get when you pull vehicles out of your arse that never made it past a proposal.
actually jingles, 245 hp should be enough to get 1 shotted by a caravan on average as it has 280 average damage with the top gun...... jingles?.......

Actually, except for the armor, the Senlac (the British premium tank at T8) has better P2W, better penetration, and better gun depression. It’s the only one with the hope of doing anything like this, the tech tree ones don’t even have the ammo to have lasted this full battle.

But it ist also out of question that this result, in this battle, just wouldn't have been possible in any other Tier 8 light tank in the game... Jingles, that 7 degrees of gun depression and 33.33 Hp/t is EASY to understand because of the properties of Stallinium armour. Firstly, it changes from steel to latex rubber to enable the gun breech to deform out of the turret, like you see on some horror movies, where the face of the demon "stretches" out the wall, so there you have the gun depression. Then of course it changes state on the move from solid to gas, making all the weight dissappear and so the 20hp engine can propel the vehicle at 200kph (restricted to 70 in the game, as they don't want it TOO unbelievable), but immediately reverts to steel the moment it detects a shot impacting the surface and then you have "the hand of Stalin" to give the gun laser-like accuracy and pinpoint aiming. All easily explainable and not BS "Russian Bias" from the "BS Team" at BS WG at all! :-)

I think this game would have been impossible for English lights (tier VIII through X) just based on damage and shots fired. The Manticore and GSOR have limited damage/shot potential that would likely prevent the 5.2k needed dmg while realistically considering not every shot fired is going to connect (75% shots penned 4 shots missed and upto 10 shots that didnt damage at all).
Pffff, there are plenty of ways the gun depression could work.
-tank roof being thin as hammered tin foil, but made of 100%, weapons grade Stalinium™.
-the gun breach is hinged to the barrel, making it able to bend when the gun is depressed. Shells angled at 7° are immediately put into the breach by the cold, dead hand of comrade Stalin himself.
-the gun breach lifts the turret out of the hull, which is imperceptible due to the turret ring made of the flexible, yet super stronk Leninium™.
-and you must of course realise that you cant depress the gun. That's impossible. Instead, only realize the truth... there is no GUN. Then you will see that it is not the GUN that depresses, it is yourself.
Fun fact: the LT 432 is a varient/modification of the Obj. 432, also known as the T64 Main Battle Tank.
The fully developed version which never existed would be called the T64 ltwt, like the T54 ltwt
Another perfect display of why you should NOT HUNT when you are in advantage of a 5 to 2 or 1 Tanks in play. It mostly always results in a Loose. That´s what I always have to face in such Dumb Teams.
EXP is not worth it to gain when you loose. A win by Cap is always better than EXP in Hunt.
It's only a matter of time until wargaming include a premium Russian tank with 360 degree gun depression, 5000mm armour all over, a gun that makes the KV-2's look like a broken water pistol and has homing shells and is faster and smaller than F1 cars. Yours for only £500.
The LT432 is hardly the only offender. Look at the obj. 430U. A medium tank with the armour and gun of a heavy, but it doesn't lose any mobility. And how many Heavily armoured Russian heavies have medium tank mobility. And to top it off, when they get auto-reloaders they speed up the reload the more they fire eliminating the mechanics that make auto-reloaders interesting and balanced.

The Console edition of the 432 I believe is the more, . . .Accurate. . . ., representation of the vehicle, shit turret armor thats overmatched by 76mm guns, 3° of gun depression, and hull armor that gets smashed by even 57mm guns
Fully agree that the appearance of the LT432 was magic bullshit. It is however merely a bumbling three card trick in comparison to the magical bullshit that is the EBR 105. I speak as an owner of both.

The gun depression has two possible explanations.
1. Either the gun is an hyperobject that exists in 4 dimentions
2. Russian Bias in wargaming titles is real.
I was repeatedly assured in the forums by developers, players and influencers that there is no such thing as Russian bias so I am left to Assume that Russia cracked a way to access 4 dimentional space somewhere in the 50s or 60s.
Oh, and you forgot to mention bullshit accuracy on the move, bullshit snapshots and bullshit cheat armor. And I am not talking baout it's ridiculous thickness for a light tank, I am talking about perfect hits with guns with enough penetration to split a battleship in half just bouncing or scoring "critical" hits.
