This is absolutely criminal incompetence by the hospital management. Imagine the amount of trauma they caused to the patients and uninformed staff, plus the danger of being shot by the police who also believed it was an actual active armed intruder event. The director didn’t even seem that bothered, talking over the cop as he was questioning her. They put everyone at risk. Disgusting.

Completely agree w this comment . The staff are creepy, and I think this whole Hospital needs to be investigated considering the way they operate like this .
Cops: "Did you tell everyone about this drill beforehand?" Management: "Yeah, I sent out an email this morning." Translation: (A last minute email sent only minutes beforehand, without confirming everyone received it)
@billyyank5807 It was first thing in the morning... they literally JUST arrived to their shift. They didn't even have enough time to get to the email let alone read it before the drill starts.
I spent a bit of time in a psychiatric care facility when I was a teenager while I was struggling to manage my bipolar. I can confidently say that that many escapes is insane. And pulling a stunt like this is just... Unfathomable. Some of those kids would have had some pretty intense reactions. That's just so incredibly dangerous for so many reasons and on so many levels.
Right? Like let's just casually run a drill that will have police show up if mishandled, who are notoriously bad at handling mass shooting events and handling the mentally ill. People could have died so easily it's astonishing.
That is a ridiculous number of escapes considering it looks like a high security facility 😳 I get if it’s low security & people go out & don’t check back in or something, but would be counted as “absconded” but this?
@Copeandseethe822 Asking for myself….. you mentioned that you struggled with BP earlier in age. What steps do you take to assure that you don’t have another (in some circumstances) a deadly manic episode.
Holy crap. I have no idea how you can mess up such a simple protocol of announcing to EVERYONE that this was all a drill. But I'm glad no one got hurt.
Not hurt physically, no. I can imagine this has huge psychological reperccussions for both the staff, patients and police involved. How can they not think this through beforehand??
Have a meeting the day before, make sure EVERYONE who is working that shift knows then put a bloody read receipt on your emails! Get them to sign a disclaimer if you have to. Even if you just say that it'll happen sometime in the next few days, make sure everyone is on the same page!

I am absolutely sickened by the actions of the employees at this hospital!!! How in the hell do you not inform your staff it's a drill!?!? Sickening. 🤬
@@dcviper985 I disagree. I just turned 60 years old (GASP!!)and from the old school of drills where you are told what to do “before the bell goes off” scenarios. I have done countless fire drills from single story, multi-story, and skyscraper buildings. I have also taken advanced first aid and first aid floor captain training, then a lot of first aid training as an adult leader in Girl Scouts, and as a swim coach. So, in short, I’ve done a LOT of drills. In June this year I experienced an electrical fire in the bathroom fan in my apartment. So many things came together to keep the fire from becoming catastrophic. The fact that it was mid day, and I was wide awake versus it could have been raining and 2:00 am. I was sitting on the edge of my bed and looked over to see that my cat lying on the floor in the bathroom, staring intently at the ceiling was huge. He NEVER did that. Then suddenly a beautiful golden, heavenly glow spread across his features, getting brighter and brighter. I jumped to my feet. Damned if that cat, who was known to be mean as Satan’s right elbow, was going to be raptured to Heaven with no explanation before my precious dog or me? Well, I’d be grabbing on and holding his tail for dear life! Turns out, it was a far cry from the Pearly Gates a-callin’. The flames were already going straight up into the attic (I live on the second/top floor of an 8 unit building). I called 911 and, later after things died down, the Fire Chief said if I hadn’t done the things I’d done, in another 2-3 minutes tops, the entire building would have been a total loss. He said it would have rolled through the attic and taken the entire building out. Turns out, one of the things I did correctly, and without even thinking, was to close ALL the doors. It kept the air from being sucked from one area to another. Learned that from drills. I grabbed my meds. Learned that from drills. Grabbed my pets. Well. Of course, but drills too. Grabbed the bottled oxygen. Also learned from drills. So, YES. Basic drills where everyone is standing around giggling and seemingly not paying attention REALLY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. To put it another way, if you were having a heart attack, wouldn’t you rather have the 18 year old kid that seems to recall something about doing chest compressions to the beat of that 1978 Oldies song performed by The Bee Gees, “Staying Alive.” And that they might feel ribs breaking but that means your doing it ok and to keep going till you can’t keep going anymore? I’d rather have that kid. I know that kid. She saved her grandfather! And she was 15!! So, loooong story short, DRILL. Why not? It gets you out of class!! Lol!!
i question the validity of this kind of drill entirely, what are they testing? unless they have a lot more armed people there to end the threat it's unlikely to make much of a difference what they do, especially if they have staff letting the "active intruders" through a back door. normally hospitals have pretty strict checkpoints with armed guards, or at least one at each door. but apparently these guys went in through a dock door bypassing any security they might have had. if they thought that was really a potential weakness why not address that concern by making sure only the security guards have the keys so they have to be there when the doors open until they close, and enough security personnel that actually know what to do and what to look for, when to call for help.
17 escaped patients in the span of two years. That's an escape every 6 weeks. Thank god they shut that place down. I've been admitted to many psychiatric facilities over the years. If they can't go more than 2 months without losing a kid, I can only imagine what other types of neglect and abuse went on in there. Also, not knowing an active shooter drill is a drill is one of the scariest things I've felt. My math class called 911 during a drill my Junior year in high school. Nobody knew that it was a drill except for the Principal and maybe 3 administrators. Not even the teachers or hall monitors knew. The 10 minutes we spent shaking in the corner believing that it was truly happening to us. The guilt of leaving my cellphone in my backpack and I couldn't text my mother that I loved her before I died. It was the most agonizing 10 minutes of waiting I'd ever felt at that point.
If it had been a real situation, it’s probably best that the phone was left in the backpack. Phones make noise, noise attracts the crazy. And most of us are nowhere near Wick enough to deal with crazy.
Everyone involved (during the initial police response on scene) did a great job. This could have easily ended up with dead bodies for no reason. Shame on the management staff for doing this kind of drill the way they did. Ridiculous.
They had report of an active shooter inside a children's hospital and their response was to wait outside in their gear while randomly screaming at victims.. How is that a great thing???
@andethidialbubabibub3261 what are u talking about they had literally just arrived and put their gear on when they came into contact with the staff. How are they supposed to know they were potential victims. They did exactly what they should have done.
The WORST thing about situations like this is police have no damn idea who they are looking for. 'intruders'. And just hold us not being able to speak to everyone involved, that they've got in okay. So frustrating and confusing for everyone. Glad this one was a false alarm.
No, the worst thing about situations like this are that they occur at all as symptom of what they were designed to solve. The right to bear arms has long lost its worth in modern society.

Having two employees grab prop guns and take up positions like they're about to start a massacre, WITHOUT WARNING ALL THE STAFF, is such an incomprehensibly stupid decision. It almost sounds like the hospital was trying to do a "SHOOTING UP KIDS IN A HOSPITAL PRANK (GONE WRONG)' video
I don't think there were any actual weapons or props used, they just announced they had guns for the drill, and the 911 callers reported it, ridiculous situation, need to just inform the police first!
I can't believe that staff was stupid enough to run such a drill. Like what did they expect announcing an active shooter ? What if someone inside carried a gun and shot the guy ? Like wtf ?

Then on the flip side, if a real one happens, people will ask why they weren’t trained to respond correctly. This here is a case of really bad communication for sure. But people should get trained.
The most glaring thing to me is the lack of communication between the agencies on scene. Seems one set of cops has it close to being settled while on the other side, they are still treating it as active. That can be very dangerous during an actual event.
1. The playback footage might not have actually happened at the same time, or played in this video at the correct timing of events. 2. If some random guy told the police its all a drill and the police had multiple calls saying its an active shooter, that is not enough reason to stand down and treat it as settled.

This "hospital" is a disgrace. Shameful what they did and now are being sued by the employee who was arrested and I hope he gets his pockets lined for the rest of his life. This was a preventable situation and the police and the hospital need to be held accountable.
I work at an assisted living facility where everybody has dementia & they're constantly trying to escape; we do drills at our place too, our boss will walk out & dramtically announces a resident is missing, and everybody has to drop what they're doing & start looking..this happening is ridiculous..smh.
That’s what I was wondering. Tearing down and building to build the same thing and waste tax money is a poor solution. The guy who does unannounced active shooter drills probably came up with that decision.
Thankfully, these police officers used extreme caution when arriving on the scene, for this could've easily turned into a bad situation for these 4 men who were conducting a drill.
I had a visit in a psychiatric hospital before and I can tell you, that with the trust issues and paranoia I already had, additionally getting amplified by the hospital itself and the people around me, if there was an active shooter "drill" like this I know for a fact I wouldve done something dangerous, either to someone else, myself by attempting escape or I wouldve gotten my shit handed to me by another patient. I was there just for a case of serious depression, I came in as a limp noodle with no strength, I barely lifted my arm up to sign the documents. However, some of my copatients were addicts, drug criminals, a few maniacs and a chick with a more severe case of depression, it was to the point where she wasnt trusted around plastic cutlery and was strapped to bed every night. If shit hits the fan and I think were all about to get shot up, you know for a fact im unstrapping that girl first and getting her all the possible weapons in the building, then either smashing the window or hiding somewhere to get a jump on the shooter. Again thats my thought process and I was the mild patient. Absolutely ridiculous A friend i made there was a Jehova's witness tho, doubt even a real shooter would want to fuck with that
I was in a mental hospital once suffering "acute schizophrenia" from a drug related serotonin syndrome incident for like 3 days. Didn't believe that anything happening was actually as it appeared. Don't even want to think how I would have reacted there, and afterwards.
I literally work for state ran hospital and you have to notify every department necessary whenever it comes to running a drill. Them saying they got bad advice is a straight up cop out
I've worked in nursing homes over the years and we had ankle monitors on all the residents that were at risk of running away. They automatically caused the doors to lock if they got within ten feet.
i don't think they're terribly expensive. we had about 6 or 7 people at a time on monitors. but it's great to keep wandering folks from wandering. it's worth it.@@jeremyroland5602
Here places like that just generally aren't on the first floor and the windows are basically unbreakable and don't open. Mental patients? Second floor. Geriatrics? Third. Doors only open when opened by staff behind the counter with a key card so you have to otherwise buzz in and out and can only do so during set hours at which point the elevators are also turned off so stairs become the only option. You're not getting out easily.
I just wanted to mention the 'heavy gear' means adding a 'hard' vest. They already wear a bullet proof vest, but one that protects mainly from handgun rounds. It might aswell be a denim jacket when it comes to rifles. The 'hard' vest protects from rifles. Even if lower levels of armor can stop a bullet, it can result in a 'punch' that can literally break ribs, stop your heart, and/or destroy your organs.
@ItMeArchie pretty much 100% correct, there's a few different 'plastic' plates that can stop rifles but this is atypical. It's easier to spend $200 on soft armor, and $200 on plates than it is to spend $800+ for a slightly in between solutions. As usually the hard armor they buy will prevent armor piercing rounds, which the expensive plates I'm talking about won't. How common are armor piercing rounds for everyone else? Well there's 2 types explicitly legal, green tip 556 and black tip 3006, your paying a premium (like 10cpr to 100cpr more) More money does nor equal more better. There are huge teams designing projectiles for terminal ballistics, other teams for external, and when you spend the time reloading you are the internal ballistics expert. All are way different.
I went to a residential rehab at 14 and escapes were extremely common in the underaged units. The care I and others received there was horrible and unlawful. I’m 17 now, but I can easily say 12 recent escapes are not normal. Something is happening there to those children, or the priorities of that place are jacked.
I was a maintenance supervisor in a nursing facility and I scheduled and ran all of the emergency drills. Especially when you have people with any form of mental illness or condition, you NEED to make sure all staff and residents have SOME knowledge of what's going on.

Not only did they fail to inform police of the drill, the numbnut who got tje email aboit the drill didn't forward it to everyone on staff. I'm glad a new facility will be built. Hopefully the ones responsible for this blunder won't be returning once it's opened.
As someone who's been in a mental facility, pediatric and adult facilities having an UNANNOUNCED ACTIVE SHOOTER DRILL with mentally ill and more than likely unstable patients is horrifying, ive seen people fly into a rage in these places because they didn't like what was on tv or were confused and didnt understand where they were. I cannot imagine the horrendous things that couldve gone wrong during this, bodies piling up,psychotic breaks, escapees, im glad things did not go that way and that they were eventually shut down and are currently getting a complete makeover. That gave me anxiety just to watch.
I went to a psychiatric hospital and learning that there were around 15 escapes is insane. Each facility needs to have extensive security measures so nobody escapes because it is dangerous for the public and the escapee to be roaming around. Good thing this place is shutting down
That officer talking to the hospital director was PISSED! And the director would not just be quiet and listen.... "I cannot apologize enough..." Ma'am, this was terribly planned.

I saw a deal where they were filming a movie. They were filming the inside the bank scenes when a cop, not knowing they were doing a movie randomly rolled up to the bank. It was the cop's bank and he was planning to go take care of bank business when two gunmen (that were actually actors) burst out of the bank. The cop was very supersized and immediately pulled his gun, pointing it at the bank robbers and started yelling instructions. The plan had been to shoot the inside scenes than film the planned shootout with police For just an instant one of the actors was thinking, "Are we doing the shoot out now? but realized this was a real cop, with a real gun loaded with real bullets who is thinking he's just rolled up on a real bank robbery. Fortunately both ackers dropped their guns and did everything the cop told them to do. It didn't take long, and to make it up to the cop the director cast him as one of the cops in the shoot out. Things can get scarry fast when the cops think it's real and the actors thing the cops are taking part in the drill or the action.
This literally happened at my school last year too LOL. entire police force showed up within 2 minutes and swarmed the school. Everyone was panicking, turns out the hired electrician accidentally turned the alarm on, and everyone started freaking out, including the principal, because it wasn’t planned. A bunch of kids were traumatized and sobbing.
What if one of the unaware members of staff was armed and shot these guys, let alone the cops potentially shooting them? And what about visitors at the hospital? I'm interested to know how they planned this. Not well, for sure.
Whoa this happened right next to me and I had no idea! Michigan police are amazing. It's weird hearing the narrator mention places I'm familiar with in the real world.
What a cluster! Great cops. Sad how traumatic this was for the kids, but kudos to the staff for trying and kudos to the cops for the way they handled this shit show.
17 in 2 years is some movie prison level security. That's insane. In a collective 5 months in such facilities over the years, I saw 1 escape attempt and it ended in a quick syringe to the ass under 3 guards.
I volunteered to be the code pink child abductor on a maternity unit at a military base. I made it all the way to the back hall where the doll was wrapped in a blanket, grabbed it and walked to the stairs which led to the outside electric doors and ran until I got all the way out. I was about to breathe a sigh of relief when two very large hands were grabbing my shoulders, lol. Little did I know that this massive anesthesiologist saw me and ran after me. He was ready to pummel me while I'm yelling exercise, exercise, exercise and trying to show him the doll. He was mortified that he was about ready to pummel me & it wasn't something I hadn't anticipated when I volunteered. Can't imagine what could have happened if they had scrambled the security police without telling them.
As an added twist, it turned out the manager, security guard and two shooters were all patients at the hospital. The real manager and guard were found locked in a room with no phones.
Thanks for the video. This was an unbelievable circumstance. I get it, it was to see how staff would respond to a specific situation in the hospital, but when my guy said MSP told him he did not have to let anyone authoritative know beforehand, he was referring to the Michigan State Police? Because if so, he need to have gotten that in writing. The staff are going to be scared, frightened, goodness knows how they would react. Some could have run out in sheer panic, I'm not certain it was the right thing to have done. You want to prepare in case of a scenario? Brief your staff, let them know PRECISELY what to do, train them through exercises, done. It was like pulling a prank for laughs. I mean, someone calls 911, saying there are not one but TWO active shooters, with semi-automatic rifles, upon the grounds of a children's psychiatric hospital? Four days before Xmas? Yeah, expect a show of force. The officers did their thing, moved cautiously, no shooting, no panic, surveyed and got to the bottom of it. Now they've closed down the hospital. Sounds like it was some time coming. It might not be much to those on the outside, but clearly the officers involved were on it until it was established, and that's when they breathe a sigh of relief. Can't imagine it was all hot dogs and doughnuts going into it, and thankfully it ended well.
I was a dispatcher for 10 years. Dozens of active shooter drills conducted at numerous different places. Literally all police/fire/ems and dispatchers in the area were notified days in advance. This is ridiculous.

I am only 32 but school shootings had just started and became a thing and the first drills were terrifying and it’s now the norm to have multiple shooters a year. Kids are raised by the internet now and I do think I’m a much more empathetic person because my parents raised me. I was blessed with having good ones though.. I know things weren’t perfect but it would’ve been nice living in a time where you could go to the movies and a shooting wouldn’t go down.. An innocent bystander was shot last week when a road rager had been cut off by a STUDENT DRIVER CAR.. how little life means to others is terrifying. Sorry for the whole rant but I think that shooting is still bothering me. Barely made the news.. the woman shot was a mother and a brand new grandma trying to buy baby stuff at The Children’s Place.. Having good grand parents is an honor not a privilege for some jackass to take. Breaks my heart for her daughter who’s a new mom..
@@KrikZ32 on the contrary, mass shootings have always made the news, and people have always been aware of them. The reality is that the frequency of mass shootings has been on the rise in America over the past 40-50 years - and it would take a wilful blindness not to see that rise connected to the shift in gun culture in America, pushed by the NRA, with the financial backing of arms manufacturers, most visible on the legal side in the shifting interpretation of the second amendment to go from “a well regulated militia” to individual rights.
The antigun groups definiton of a mass shooting is 4 or more people getting shot in one incident even if there is no fatality. 98% of these are gangbangers and domestic violence. Random mass shootings are still rare. There are no drills for gangbangers shootings or domestic violence cases where the far majority of "mass shootings" happens. Just as the antigun groups says that guns are the number 1 killer of children. The just redefine the definition of a "children" as up to 19 years old and those are mostly gangbangers. Take that out and redefine "children" up to 18 year old, it is behind vehicle accidents. And they don't include "children" under 1 year old where crib death is the number 1 killer. It's a bit concerning that this is the route a children's hospital chose to take as opposed to like, literally almost anything else. Maybe they should be looked into. Oh, never mind, they actually have been looked into!
Hey thanks for this info. My half sisters (twins) were in Hawthorn in the mid 90s for 5 years and they had gotten just about no education and it was/is fckin sad. I am glad to hear that they are closing.
They need to stop calling an intruder an "active intruder" because everyone they dealt with, including even people in the comments, keep turning that into "active shooter".
Pure negligence from the facility and it’s staff, my thoughts are with the patients who must have been terrified. It’s really sad that these drills are needed
Glad to hear it got shut down. I was going to say someone if not multiple people need to loose their jobs over this. That is absolutely absurd that the entire staff wasn't aware it was a drill and 911 got called. It's so easy to imagine that having ended with one or more people shot to death by the responders.
Im not a fan of the police but the fact that they handled this so well and understandably is heart warming. They knew the facility and its patients so they where extra cautious to not breach and put many lives at risk, especially those who are emotionally weak or vulnerable such as myself. Sure im not in a facility but if it was me in there i would have been terrified! Again! Not a fan of the police at all… but they handled this damn well so good on you men and women involved and how you handled it. Seriously, Glad to know we have them for when things get bad. Years ago this would have turned out to be a blood bath easily. As for the person who didn’t notify the PD and others who where supposed to be notified, they should be thoroughly investigated and questioned for even considering such an idea
Most police are good people, not like the very few bad ones that are shown in the media (which is statistically less than 1% of all cops). The bad cops get a lot more attention than the good ones which leads people to believe that all cops are bad (which is really unfair to the good ones) so I would like to ask you this. Why are you not a fan of the police?
There is no need to censor the dialogue. If members of law enforcement are allowed to yell those words in the presence of a children’s hospital, then it is clearly safe enough to be heard by the rest of us.
That was incredibly irresponsible. Not only put their staff in danger, but pulling police resources that could have been used to help people in actual distress.
Sometimes I feel like as a job requirement 911 operators should be given a crash course on how to appropriately and empathetically extract the information necessary to assist callers who may be in dire situations or experiencing a state of shock or dissociation. They could already be doing so but if so theres alot of shocking phone recordings made public that show a good few of operators could use a refresher course. In saying this I do understand this does not reflect on all operators and that the majority are truly selfless, protectors of life that are creating miracles daily and love doing so.
Announcing the drill would kind of defeat the pupose of having it !!!! And those patients can be cuckoo and hard to handle (even deadly)a resident of mine was killed by a teen girl she was kicked in the head a bunch of times !!
No it doesn’t. I learned from earthquake drills that we knew we had that definitely helped more than nothing. Just because something isn’t perfect or only practiced doesn’t mean it will be worthless when it comes time to need it. I’m definitely glad that my neurosurgeon practiced the best he could before I needed him.
Im so confused by the multiple staff members being like oh well this is the first time the members actually called 911 during a drill. Is that allowed anyway even during a drill wouldnt multiple people calling 911 block up the dispatch lines? And how did they confirm it last time by checking phones?
What truly amazes me is how nobody served any time in jail. Like you could have an unpaid parking fine and get jail time. But you do an unannounced active shooter drill and at worst, lose your job?

Imagine the amount of trauma they caused to the patients and uninformed staff, plus the danger of being shot by the police who also believed it was an actual active armed intruder event. Right? Like let's just casually run a drill that will have police show up if mishandled, who are notoriously bad at handling mass shooting events and handling the mentally ill. People could have died so easily it's astonishing.

I am absolutely sickened by the actions of the employees at this hospital!!! How in the hell do you not inform your staff it's a drill!?!? Sickening. 🤬
It sort of defeats the purpose of a drill.
Lol!!
Go cancel them, sunshine.
i question the validity of this kind of drill entirely, what are they testing? unless they have a lot more armed people there to end the threat it's unlikely to make much of a difference what they do, especially if they have staff letting the "active intruders" through a back door. normally hospitals have pretty strict checkpoints with armed guards, or at least one at each door. but apparently these guys went in through a dock door bypassing any security they might have had. if they thought that was really a potential weakness why not address that concern by making sure only the security guards have the keys so they have to be there when the doors open until they close, and enough security personnel that actually know what to do and what to look for, when to call for help.

This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard of in my entire life. People could have been shot and killed over this.
Well there's 2 types explicitly legal, green tip 556 and black tip 3006, your paying a premium (like 10cpr to 100cpr more)

Propaganda at it's best.
😱 what a shocking turn of events, another outstanding video thanks raven 🖤
"unannounced active shooter drill"
You have to be kidding me.
It's a bit concerning that this is the route a children's hospital chose to take as opposed to like, literally almost anything else. Maybe they should be looked into. Oh, never mind, they actually have been looked into!
Yeah a staff wide nerf gun fight would have been a better drill
How tf do you not warn people and the police before these kinds of drills?
Hey thanks for this info. My half sisters (twins) were in Hawthorn in the mid 90s for 5 years and they had gotten just about no education and it was/is fckin sad. I am glad to hear that they are closing.
Thanks for regular uploads❤
This seems highly illegal, idk how that manager still has their job
Early. Thanks for making great informational videos.
They need to stop calling an intruder an "active intruder" because everyone they dealt with, including even people in the comments, keep turning that into "active shooter".
Pure negligence from the facility and it’s staff, my thoughts are with the patients who must have been terrified. It’s really sad that these drills are needed
Can we get more Area 51 stuff if there is any, thanks, love you and your channel!
I hope the two men sue because they could’ve easily died if someone in there had a gun.
Yes, They definitely have a case.
Not to mention how extremely traumatic it would have been for them to go through that
The fact they have had that many kids try and escape probably means the facility is doing some bad shit
Glad to hear it got shut down. I was going to say someone if not multiple people need to loose their jobs over this. That is absolutely absurd that the entire staff wasn't aware it was a drill and 911 got called. It's so easy to imagine that having ended with one or more people shot to death by the responders.
Yes Ewu crew. More content the merrier i love it
Im not a fan of the police but the fact that they handled this so well and understandably is heart warming.
Anyone doing an unannounced shooter drill deserves to be treated as an unannounced shooter.
*Stay Strapped or get clapped*
Cops tell that one dude “it’s not funny” if my bosses f’d up that badley I’d be laughing too
Honestly, they need a new director. She didn't even let him finish his sentences, because she wasn't about to be lectured for her wrongdoing.
Black guy: laughing
Also black guy: I was especially affected.
$$$$
There's different types of reactions to stress.
lol! Some of us laugh so we don't immediately crumble into a massive stress ball of "what even is my life?!".
Laughed out of pure disbelief
Sometimes I feel like as a job requirement 911 operators should be given a crash course on how to appropriately and empathetically extract the information necessary to assist callers who may be in dire situations or experiencing a state of shock or dissociation. They could already be doing so but if so theres alot of shocking phone recordings made public that show a good few of operators could use a refresher course.
In saying this I do understand this does not reflect on all operators and that the majority are truly selfless, protectors of life that are creating miracles daily and love doing so.
As someone who’s spent time in mental hospitals and escaped twice, these places are often understaffed.
The police Women need to learn how to put on a kevlar Helmet
America... nuff said. 🙄🙄🙄
I'm sorry, but that management lady is the reason why stereotypes exist. I'm not anti-feminist, nor am I a feminist, but 42 years on this planet has made me see a lot of things and see how people react to certain situations. This situation could've gotten ugly, all due to an incompetent lady. She should've notified the entire staff so they can notify patients.
This is Michigan, alot of us carry (me included)
That's a scary stunt to pull, if someone is pointing across parking lot and saying that man has gun and is trying to kill people, it could have ended a lot different.
"Unannounced active shooter drill" Does not sound like something anyone should carry out
This is why we need more guns! If those hospital staff were armed here, someone could’ve MISTAKENLY been shot, turning a drill into the real thing! Except since there’s so many people armed, now it’s actually a warzone, but still, GUNS FOR ALL!
Because all of us that carry are just running around blasting
I like how there's always an idiot who takes every possible opportunity to say the solution is more guns
41% of active shooters are stopped by regular, armed people who happened to be there.
@@smokejc I think he's being sarcastic. The employees wouldn't have been justified in shooting the intruders since there were not even props. I might be misremembering that though.
@@smokejcthe OP was actually being sarcastic. I was pointing out the absurdity of their phrasing and assuming that everyone would be running around shooting.
How was Brandon "especially affected"? You never gave that any context. This facility's admin need to all be fired for pulling something so stupid.
