      the newer model X's go a little further now keep that in mind plus the temperature during this test cost a few miles as well. Thanks for watching!

    Dude! I got down to 7% today because I missed a turn and added 26 miles to my trip today! I thought, I'll just go to the next exit and turn around. On i45 in Texas the next exit was 13 miles! Lowest I've been is 3% and that was some anxiety for sure. MYLR

    Man, that consumption is really high. It's higher than the rivian r1t which weighs like 1700lbs more and is less aerodynamic.

      It was a little cold in the beginning and wind really hurts the numbers. it was a bit breezy. So the X had a couple things working against it in this test.

    Thanks for video. It just let me know how Performance model take much more energy, even it is 100D. The range seems relatively short.

      Seems so, but also remember the temperatures were low also during this test.

    Nice video, I was going to ask about the inadequate looking sun visors in your last video so I liked that you demonstrated them here. At least they have a fold out section, but they are still not tall enough in most cases; although maybe you can adjust for that if the driver seat can be raised.
    Does this Model X have the 72 amp on-board AC charger? If so, maybe you can test it when you return it to OKC. The Embassy Suites Northwest (Independence Ave and Smith Blvd) apparently has two 80A chargers according to PlugShare that are in a no-fee parking lot. Tesla seems to have discontinued offering 72 amp on-board chargers around 2018 or 2019.

      Sure, if time allows I'll definitely check that charger out. Yesterday Tesla nerfed the X it is now in chill mode and I can't change it :( I promise I was being good 😂

    The efficiency of those p100d X is going to be much lower then expected in those temps. Resistive heating with a much larger cabin and battery pack really kills range. Not to mention the wheel combo. The X actually has an extremely low drag coefficient for its size, basically the same as the 3 which is crazy to think about.

      If I can get one loaned to me in the summer I'll do it again and we can compare the numbers.

      CD is a coeiffcient. Multiply by the reference area to get drag. By inspection, the area of the X > M3, and the drag is higher.

    Will you be doing Doordash with the X? Enjoyed the video.

      Yeah! got to make that Bitcoin 🤑 I did two deliveries on Friday in it, I plan on working some Sunday afternoon because that's the last day of the pay week.

    Hi mate, nice vid, but looking from the results, its something wrong with your battery. With only 19k miles you got 83kWh batt capacity? This is rough degradation which is very hard to achieve even with 100% fast charging thro cars current lifetime. Check if one of the batt modules is dead, as it looks like missing 25kWh is right around that area.

      @vladimiralexandrov5930 7 месяцев назад

      Numbers look about right. If one of the module was dead, the whole battery would shut down given that BMS would not be able to calibrate it. Degradation is a tad high but not too bad for high temperature region (Oklahoma?) The most important factor for battery is how hot/humid the climate is.

    I don't like the front end grill area of that one. Cool audit though. 185 mile range isn't that great in my opinion. The doodaditry with those doors opening and closing for you just seems like more things to fail. I wonder how the windshield holds up if the vehicle becomes inverted? Seems like a lot more nuggets of sharp glass flying everywhere. That car seems to not do as well as yours in efficiency. Maybe I'm wrong. I really enjoyed this one!

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  2 года назад +1

      I would say my efficiency in the Model 3 is twice as good. I get high 200s usually and this was mid to high 400s Wh/mi The doors are so cool but you are correct. There's so much in this car that could go wrong after a few years. Surprisingly, I think the Model X does pretty good in crash test even with the giant glass.

      @@Crazypostman I heard you say after smoking that Chargers ass, that your Tesla could beat anything 0-60. How about that X? Also, did I miss you playing with Ludicrous mode?

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  2 года назад

      @@afrayedknott1701 to be honest, they feel about the same to my butt in the seat, but to my eyeballs the model 3 feels faster I guess because it's smaller and lower to the ground. but in real life I bet they're both very close. Remember I do have the speed boost on my model. 3

      I can't remember but It shouldn't matter too much, It was all autopilot and straight roads except for five u-turns.

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  Год назад

      It was probably chill or sport mode because this was loaned to me by Tesla and at one point they disabled Ludacris for a while because I did some 0 to 60 pulls and I don't think they liked it I was stuck and chill, and then after a bit they gave me sport mode back but I don't think they ever gave me a ludicrous mode back for the rest of my loan lol

    Looks like the battery has 85kWh capacity, or about a 15% degradation. Seems funny that the car predicts it will take 12 hours to charge at 40 amps (9.6 kW) which calculates to a 100kWh capacity. I guess the estimate will adjust as time goes by.

  • @auto3714

    Isn't it 100Kwh battery? Why only 87KWh?

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  2 года назад +1

      My guess would be a mixture of battery degradation (this car's had a rough life) and also there's a top buffer.
