He was perfect during the Luke Cage crossover episodes and season 2 (especially the end scene with the cliffhanger). These moments had him chill and funny. I would have loved to see what they had planned for his Iron Fist and Colleen in season 3.
As an Asian & Iron Fist (Danny Rand) is my fav Marvel superhero, I want them to give Finn Jones another chance. I don’t want him to be changed into an Asian hero🙏🏻
My biggest gripe with the show was that in one episode Danny beats the shit out of like 150 life-long trained ninjas and then in the next episode he gets knocked the fuck out by a random janitor while sneaking around. His character was just so wildly inconsistent and that never changed throughout the entire show.

I think the Defenders and Punisher should integrate, but i also see why it's better to have another Iron Fist, but Danny Rand could still exist if he passes the mantle to the new one, he doesn't even have to die, he doesn't have to be the Iron Fist forever
Honestly if he's put in the work to his martial arts since, so it looks more fluid and less choreographed, i'd be up for it. There were the odd issue with his acting but my main issue was how he just didn't feel like he was good at Kung Fu , let alone a world class master. This improved through Season 2.
Whether Danny rand is the iron fist or not in the mcu Finn jones should still be cast as him, personally I really like him in IF s1 and the defenders series scripts have let him down

Why he's getting the blame was because the choreographer for the show specifically called him out for never showing up for the training sessions. Maybe it was because he was prevented by or kept too busy by the show runner, Scott Buck (who has a long history for cutting corners to make production cheaper and faster), but either way somebody f'd up.
I feel bad in a sens for the actor, especially after Andrew Garfield got his chance to turn opinions around, it feels like he should at least get another chance. Problem is that we all know that Marvel is 99% certainly going to go, rightfully so, with an Asian actor if they ever bring Iron Fist into the MCU. So I seriously doubt he’ll get a cinematic platform to prove his case, but there are other platforms available to tell his side of the story and I don’t think he has used them yet to adequately address these issues; so maybe he should not talk so cryptically about those issues and come out with details instead of advocating for a pay-check (which is what all these actors are doing when they claim “love of the character”

Netflix Iron Fist was far from perfect and was the weakest of the "Defenders Saga" shows, but it was leaps and bounds ahead of EVERYTHING Marvel on D+, with the possible exception of one or two shows/special presentations. Which really is telling.
Let Danny Rand be the Tony Stark of the street-level heroes. He can pay for the suits and upgrades, since Rand is a billionaire. It's the only way I could think of, when it comes to a pro bono lawyer like Matt Murdock being able to afford the talents of Luke Jacobson -- Danny was paying the bills.
