Questioning a woman’s morals because she takes pictures in workout shorts or a bikini is the definition of misogynous.
And yes, I’m sure the genius podcasters will say “no, misogynous means you hate women” - bro - valuing (or devaluing) a woman based on her physical appearance is hate. And all of these “she’s asking for me to be an asshole by taking a picture where I can see parts of her skin” people are just creeps. Move to Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia if you can’t handle seeing a woman’s body.

Here’s my take: Dani is a mid level athlete. Because she is a mid level athlete, to reach her full economic potential she needs to promote herself as an attractive female. In modern society sex sells and she fully takes advantage of that. It isn’t good or bod, it is just a reality of modern American culture. If you are attractive enough to monetize that, go for it.

She's an excellent crossfitter, but nearly 100% of her ig pics are just her posing in very skimpy outfits, while other crossfitters post almost 100% pics of them working out. That's what she's making her brand - people see they every day, they see her compete maybe 4 times a year.
It would be like russell crowe or jared leto being annoyed about people commenting on their acting all the time instead of their music. They may do both, but the majority of the exposure goes to their acting

Andrew, speaking of handstand push-ups. In CrossFit it seems like there has been a problem with no rep standards on the handstand push-ups and "big hair" getting in the way. Since CrossFit used the parallel bars during the Games, they should use them for true handstand push-ups. I remember watching the 1976 Olympics and during warmups, an American male gymnast challenged a Soviet gymnast to handstand push-ups on the parallel bars. The American did less than 10 reps and the Russian did 20 reps and looked like he could have done 10 more. It was incredible and I never forgot it. The CrossFit Games judges could count the reps by the arm lock outs and break of the elbows rather that heads bouncing off the mats. This would be a true measure of strength and body control.

@@hillerfit it was during the warm ups and the ABC news crew filmed it. It wasn't an event, just a challenge thrown down by the American. Unlike the CrossFit event, the athlete's bodies were unsupported (no plexiglass to support the legs). I believe American already knew that the Russian could do more handstand push-ups but he wanted to entertain and showcase the strength of the Olympic gymnasts. This was before the era of Kurt Thomas and other American gymnasts.
In Gymnastics, a true handstand push-up is typically done on parallettes, rings, or mats that allow a full range of motion at the shoulder. What we think of as a HSPU in CrossFit is actually a headstand push-up in Gymnastics. We should also be doing them FACING the wall, if not freestanding.
Much as I love CrossFit, there are many Gymnastics principles that we have watered down compared to other domains.
Don’t blame men in society for objectifying women when women objectify themselves by showing off their body, when you know men will have certain thoughts upon seeing your attractive body. You know the role you’re playing.

In all seriousness, I think she took this as an opportunity to restate some really tired talking points. If you are putting things out there publicly, it is fair game for anyone to say whatever the hell they want.
Seems to me that you are defending Sevan from Dani. I saw the Sevan show. Dani, to my knowledge did not mention Sevan, the person who posed the question did. So why would Seven need defending from her? Maybe he wants her to attach him for new viewers?
The whole issue with social media is people who use it as a source of income are incentivized to act “normal” so the content can be more relatable to their consumers. So when she says “yes I get tired of people speaking about my body”, that’s her attempt to seem relatable and normal. But in reality they’re just utilizing algorithms to make more money, and guess what? Controversial content generates more clicks, more interactions and therefore more money. The hypocrisy cracks me up and the people who believe these content creators like her are normal or relatable are drinking the kool-aid. Everything she does is money driven, which is fine, but to slander other people when you’re fake as hell is just sad. *edit* misheard and misspoke about a self absorbed comment I thought Dani had made, I stand by what I said though. Everything else is valid, in my opinion, outside of that bit of misinformation.

I don’t mind speegle. What I don’t like is the “girls who eat “. Yeah go ahead and eat but she leaves out the most important part which is be active. Speegle Works out hard 2-3 times a day. In my opinion she’s on some kind of PED ( again just my opinion) so you can eat whatever you want and a lot of it. Bug saying “girls who eat” is only half the phrase if you ask me
You can’t just tell young kids who look up to you about eating while youre eating healthy trifecta meal preps and burning hundreds of calories a day

Women have been sold the lie for decades that we must eat little and be small because that looks good and is attractive. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels and all that crap. Finally a sport comes along that shows what women can achieve from hard work and actually eating bloody food and saying as much, then damn, I am right behind that movement.

Leaving out the part where she works out harder than 98% of others isn’t finishing the whole story in my eyes. You can’t eat 3k calories of healthy well rounded balanced meals and do nothing.

Watching her throw weight around like it's nothing was a huge highlight in both the games and at Rogue. The way she carries herself, along with the things she says on social media would make you think she doesn't care what people say; that she's totally comfortable with being considered the hot blonde with the big butt. I'm disappointed at her response to the Sevan Podcast question, and I'm disappointed in her performance at Rogue. Still waiting for her to really try. I get the feeling she would be/ could have been a longstanding top ten contender with more disciple and effort in her training and during the events. Come, on Dani.

Maybe she's exactly where she wants to be in the competitions. There are people who enjoy being competitive without going balls to the wall. Sophia Loren once said she'd rather enjoy wine and pasta than be a size zero. Dani's "Girls who eat" shirt at the Rogue Invitational and her size make it obvious she thinks similarly. And she still keeps qualifying for the Games and Rogue so......

The fact that Sevan calls her fat, speaks volumes…he has been a douche bag for years, he hasn’t changed.
There’s an entire world of people that can just like the picture and think ‘cool’ or ‘not cool’ and just move on. They don’t need to comment, or bring up her clothes or whether things are flattering on them or not on a podcast.

From this video, 'negativity' is brought up and it's only brought up by the creator (Andrew), who in return is projecting and assuming that's what's being interpreted and/or perceived from Dani's post.. I honestly don't think that's the case at all. Personally, I believe the lack of a empathy/understanding on the topic of someones body is the case. A persons body is a reflection of what they've done or not done (the work, the sacrifice, the education of knowing) to feel comfortable in their own skin, which is very hard for many humans, if not all FEMALES.. At a certain point, we have to understand that someone else's body is not our issue or topic of conversation. Everything a person thinks of someone else's body has already been a thought from the person you're speaking about.... We all have an internal self talk issue, whether it's good or bad. The stigma of females posting on social media for 'attention' is old and it's honestly just an excuse to CONTINUE to talk about their bodies... Talk about what they can DO with their bodies (lifts, runs, etc. Not sexual things...). When we put someones body or accomplishments in a 'negative' light or we start to defend our own comments or thoughts about another person, please consider THE PERSON.. What they feel, how they've felt about their own body. It's very immature to assume you know what someone is feeling or thinking when you don't ask them.

Speegle knows that she will never podium in the big competitions. She will win a few events here and there but she will never win in her current state or fitness. She knows exactly what she’s doing with her wardrobe and her social media. It’s how she stays relevant. I personally find it super annoying. I think it’s bad for the sport when girls choose to stoop to wearing clothes like she chooses. As if a sports bra and spandex aren’t revealing enough let’s squeeze into some that are 2 sizes too small. There’s a reason why the top females aren’t doing this. Tia. Mal. Emma. Annie. They’re there to compete and to win. Some of the competitors truly know they won’t podium so they have to find other ways to stay relevant. Sadly women expose themselves to do so.

Contrast Dani with the likes of a Kristi Eramo O'Connell and others like her. Confident, humble, and just all around great person (my opinion of course). She is "almost" more likeable than Hiller😉

Used to be a 2 word phrase for the types of posts she uses, and others you referenced, but that 2 word phrase was changed into influencer just to sound more polite. I like Dani, but those huge fake eyelashes annoy me and I have nothing against fake eyelashes because my wife has them, but hers are just huge and annoying looking.

I do think commenting on a persons body from an athletic point of view is completely okay. However sexualizing someone or commenting on their clothing is never okay and I’m appalled to see how many men use the narrative of “she was asking for it”. I love Sevan and you but I sometimes feel a little weird when he takes things to far, especially when the other person (male or female) is not in on the joke. (To clarify: I have a super dark and sexist humor with all of my (guy-) friends.) I just think, that with having such big platforms you should think about maybe unwillingly enforcing hurtful stereotypes. It’s not about changing your humor, moreso about also apologizing if you truly effect someone’s emotions negatively….
Having said all that - I share your opinion on Dani’s post being blown completely out of proportion. I assume she saw a tiny clip or was fed the info by someone and ran with it due to past insecurities. She truly may be projecting feelings towards other people from her past on to you. However this is certainly not a mental illness…

@@patricklang7162 well if we turn around the situation… if for example a guy posted a shirtless gymselfie or even in his underwear, i of course will have certain assumptions of what his goal in doing so might have been but nonetheless I would never try to dictate my narrative on to him… Sure he may be looking to get laid, to share his success, or even want advice on how to further himself, but what allows me to comment on that with no real insight. I do understand in a world where everyone is able to share their opinions it tempting to do so all the time, but why bother hurting someone’s feelings if your not helping them with constructive criticism.
And last but not least posting a bikini pic and feeling yourself is not the same as sexwork and even 🌽 stars really don’t care to hear everyone’s opinions on their naked bodies….
