Yeah I remember, I can't remember his name though he died about season 3 didn't he
Bob is one of the most underappreciated characters, he was deep in his way of thinking and just plane awesome.
Sam-pson Smith my timing fucking sucks lol
he was a great character honestly i think he got killed off way too early
His last scene with Gareth was incredibly badass.
@Hylian Orphan agree ,the fist 5 seasons showed really good the Apocalypse,I mean look at Fear twd there Biggest fear is to ran out of Fuel
Yes.
I love this scene it showed the hopelessness of what the end of the world is
Ethan Eastman not to how flawless the song is and contributes to this scene.... The pure helplessness to his acting is perfect
Ethan Eastman this scene make you think like, "Damn, what if that was me"
@@avisnwosu4800 lol I'd be dead in a bush somewhere after tripping over my own feet
Up until this show, I wanted to survive the zombie apocalypse. Now, not as much.
I think it’s just the days seem to blend together for him, everyday passes and he is alone. As we know he was extremely lonely.
Best of The Walking Dead songs.
Cal lead me home is better

Thats the face of pure depression, hopelessness and loneliness
"This is a nightmare. And nightmare ends"

"This is how we survive. We tell ourselves that we are the walking dead."

Isn't his grand father who said that...for the War ?
@@Mickey_Langehis grandfather said he woke up in the morning and laid himself to rest for the day. Had to figure out how to die so he could live.. something like that
This scene lives rent free in my head. I have this song in most of my playlists and every time it comes on, I can feel Bob's desperate numbness, that 1000 yard stare of repeated, daily trauma. Such a well-filmed, scored and acted scene.
Fr
It's like the scene and song were written and performed for each other.
@@StormbladeX69 Except the song isn't a TWD original so no it wasn't written for the scene.
@@mattgillam7379 I'm aware of that. It just fit very well.
I was waking around my town last night listening to it imagining the exact thing you're taking about
Good old TWD. The immersion was real back then. Felt like you were really in the zombie apocalypse with the characters, not just watching them.
Yeah, after Frank Darabont was fired; it just kept getting more and more off track. These early seasons really had the feeling of the South in Georgia and the plight of the characters.
@@valentino3191im on season 5 rn when it starts to go bad?
@@gabutmax451 It doesnt go "bad". But as you advance, film grain and the immersive feeling becomes less and less.
It depends on what you like if it goes bad or not...

One of the best intros to any episode of TWD
@can' It was actually most of the original intro to that particular episode, Season 4 Episode 13...well, right up to where it switches to the Carol in the car. Here’s the original where Glen and Daryl pull up instead. Season 4 Episode 13 Introduction ruclips.net/video/XSVvQYI4yqQ/видео.html
@can' 👍
I wanna hug Bob right now :,(, one of my favourite characters in late season 4. Poor guy was so happy to finally not be alone, and became a proper member of the group, keeping Sasha and Maggie together. Liked this guy so much.
Right
I miss the old days
❤
Omg did you see how gleen died like negan smashed his head right infront of Maggie :( and there child was born:(:(:( but can we all agree that the most things happened in season 6 like bruh
@@ragnarlothbrok3231 TAINTED MEEEEEEAAAATTTTTT!!!!!!!

Only at season 5 atm, afraid of what they did to it
@@RealGaIaxy season 5 is one of the best seasons ever enjoy guy
@@SAWtabl3 I am almost done with season 8, and have to say it definitely went downhill around season 7. Negan is a very cool character and his actor is great, but they dragged the storyline with him and the saviors out for way too long. I found myself binge watching seasons 1-6 nonstop. With seasons 7 and 8, I had to force myself to watch. It became a chore
@@rockybalboa4593 I agree with you so much. Seasons 1-5 were great, I was hooked. Season 6 I did think it slowed down a bit but not bad. Seasons 7 though whatever it’s on now just sucks. As you said they drag it on so much. I just hate the Alexandria arc. I didn’t think anything interesting happened. I could barley sit through the episodes and found myself on my phone during the episodes.

7 years ago... the first time i saw this this episode it touched my heart. And this song with this clip... just masterpiece.
Just perfect... I still get emotional watching this video 😔❤️❤️
Nuh-uh,this is BOB'S song, let Carol get her own music.
disagreeablesob I'd like to think Bad Blood by Alison Mosshart is Carol's song
Absolutely, agreed!
Adore Carol, but this is BOB!
LOL OMG I KINDA FIND THIS FUNNY
Carol’s song is “serpents in my mind”
Bob was literally the definition of The Walking dead in this scene. He was completely hopeless mentally but was relying solely on bodily instinct to survive.
Bob was the most important character. Many people miss that but he was the one to drive the point that surviving without going anywhere or having someone to share it with is just as pointless as the endless walk of the walkers who roam earth for eternity.
The music. The scenes. Perfectly describes how lonely a world can get and how we're just at the mercy of nature.
Hell even around people.
I'm on my 4th rewatch of the Good 'ol times of TWD.
S1 to S5 were my favourite.
Bob was such an underrated scene. This was one of the best eps and character intros, it shows just the hopelessness someone can have with an ounce of will to survive.
I wish he got a bit more screen time and development, they had a lot of potential with his military background and alcoholism. RIP Bob
I thought they portrayed him beautifully.. he was actually a sympathetic character.. I usually HATE when characters have addiction of any kind.. that's too much "reality" for a fantastical concept like a zombie apocalypse.. I liked Bob but I didn't like how they forced him into a pairing with Sasha.. and the way they forced Rick into one with Michonne.. please.. relationships are probably the LAST thing survivors of a catastrophic event are thinking of.. they should stop "shipping" these characters.. it's ridiculous.. but I digress.. Bob was beneficial to the show and had a memorable character arc ..he wasn't an afterthought by any means
@Cole Pratt I'm sure I meant to say "character"...
@@peachbellini2615 I agree, he was decently written and gave a good addition to the show, I just wish they did more with him and hoped maybe he'd even be a main character. It seems they only like to add secondary characters just to kill them off a season or two later, no matter their effect on the story or other characters but keep the wrong ones alive too long.
And I agree about the relationship aspect, I sorta believed Bob and Sasha but I felt awkward with Rick and michonne, it kinda felt rushed and outta place.
@Cole Pratt Haha smartass. I just saw all these a year later, I forgot I even commented on this
@@spartangreg1 I agree Bob and Sasha were on par with Glenn and Maggie as the best relationship on the show
Love the old TWD episodes and the soundtracks.
This will always be one of my favorite episodes. I think it captures the hopelessness, loneliness and futility of a world gone to sh*t.
I loved these type of episodes. They give off that apocalypse vibe
One of the most underrated characters and tracks. Loved this scene
I don’t think anything is ever going to compare to the first half of the walking dead. When the show was purely about survival and adapting to the new world and navigating it. I think that’s why the whisperers were a really good pseudo return to it
No hope, No cares, the feelings vanish in the air... only pain and "dead ends" I miss this in that TV Show
Literally me
Man. I miss Bob. Hes literally EVERY character rolled into one. Epic character and was a great loss
Life is measured in small moments... sadness lasts much longer than the walkers... we have to walk with them... accept what we are, to remember what we used to be...
I think it is one of the best song of my life.
check out "the general's daughter ", soundtrack...
"she lied" is the track from the movie...actually, if you havn't seen it, I'm pretty sure you'd like it...dark, but good....
bob... why'd you leave us😭😭💓 we will always 💓 you🍃
imani's american girl doll channel you can thank gareth for that. That's how you spell his name...right?
Denys Hernandez yeah
There was something special about those first few seasons of walking dead. The hopelessness and getting used to a new world before things became cartoonist ftwd started that way too. I Anna be immersed in the breakdown
This is the best clip which the man is very lonely. He thought that there is no hope to live alone.
I miss the old times of TWD during the prison and Woodbury era. I wish we could turn back time. Nostalgic af 😭💔
Ikr , back when the whole family would sit down on Sundays and watch TWD together , even did the same with the first few seasons of FTWD. Golden age of TV.

I will never stop watching TWD even when the Final Season is over.
Back when the series was still good
When it was still a good show.
SPRPhilly it's still an amazing show, it's just gotten intense as hell, some can stomach it, some can't. first few seasons were the best for sure, but this show is one of the best series in history.... it's a good show....
SPRPhilly no I think you're right, there was something really good about the first few seasons that they don't have anymore.
Ravan Butterworth it’s gotten really intense? Are you kidding me? The last two season have been like a pg rated show compared to the old walking dead, it’s ridiculous how much the show has been watered down. The Negan/Glenn scene was the last really brutal episode, and I don’t just mean in terms of gore.
Truski blu it is said or 'rumoured' that the next season is going to have more of a Season 4-5 vibe to it.
I agree. Look at it now. The writes killed a key person off for no reason, and now lincoln is leaving....it peaked in Season 3 (plus the season 4 mid season finale). The rest is immediately dull and boring....
God I miss Bob & Abraham! I'm fighting crying listening to this and seeing them.
I have to listen to this without the video so I won't pout I miss them SO much!!!

TAINTED MEAT!!

Bob: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, ITS TAINTED MEAT !!!
*One of the best character in a movie. Perfectly written. Humble, grateful and even in the end strong and joyful.*
This was the best scene and the perfect song to go with it! You can feel the hopelessness in Bob while watching this scene.
this episode is what got me into Lee and haven't regretted it since. His song Stone is my funeral song for when its my time
Back when twd was a cinematic masterpiece
The lyrics "Pack your things and leave somehow" really hits deep, even in reality
Yeah it does
Tempo em que Twd era muito raíz, dá até vontade de chorar com essa jornada em que a série está levando 💔
Acabaram com a série, infelizmente
I LOVED and Miss Bob! This is probably the most beautifully heart breaking, haunting, back flashes with song when it comes to meeting newly found/introducing survivors duo. Gives me chills alot of the time. Oats in the water/Herschel after telling Sasha she needs to rest and battles against his values of life when it comes to the putting the fresh dead down before the turn back at the prison prison
This is the only scene in The Walking Dead where I can remember Bob not smiling his character is so deep and I love how if he is with ones he loves he will always be smiling
Hands down he was the most lively character. Loved him so much
I can't get this song out of my head
Send help??

Walking Dead was so good
One of the best flashbacks in the walking dead something out how dead he looks like he moves like a walker is great
I JUST MISS THE WALKING DEAD 😢😢😢😢 IT WAS AN AMAZING JOURNEY AND SHOW
I liked bob so much 🥺
I didn't like Bob until this episode. After that he became one of my favorites.
@Ernesto Rigolo If memory serves, I think he came off... poorly. Kind of hapless and a burden.
I remember when I watched this for the first time, I don't know why it made tear a little.
Gorgeous song❤
Nothing can beat the first 5 seasons of TWD , same with the first two or so seasons of FTWD . Oh how I wish Hollywood didn’t suck nowadays.
My favorite song on walking dead, and I loved Bob.
after all time, continue being a incridible Scene, chose the perfect people, and actor for the Scene, congratulations for all team the walking dead
The fact that he ran into carol is badazz
I honestly cry everytime I see this video...
Season 4…..I’m convinced the last of the group’s humanity was left at the prison. Herschel’s death really impacted Rick grimes!

This song and these scenes sum up well the world of The walking Dead: hopelessness, survivors living without knowing for what!
Seeing the future of many ever in this song/scene!
This hit different than on Spotify
Oddly enough, one of my favorite scenes from the whole series.
