Concur, at the time people had a lot of gripes with the show. All the way back to the prison, however; rewatching it now has made me realise how excellent the show is for giving the character lots of time to develop.
Truly a classic TV show, up there with Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad & the Sopranos. Can’t wait to watch them all with my Baby Boy, when he’s old enough.

I watch alot of series, and like them all, They're all really good and beautiful, but in my opinion, When I watch the Walking Dead it just feels like all the characters are actually real, not acting, You actually feel like you're apart of them, cry when they die, smile when something good happens, Man, The Walking Dead is life.

When I was a kid, I asked my grandpa once if he ever killed any germans in the war. He wouldn't answer. He said that was grownup stuff. So I asked if any Germans tried to kill him. But he got real quiet. He said he was dead the minute he stepped into enemy territory. Every day he woke up and told himself, "RIP, now get up and go to war." And after a few years of pretending he was dead, he made it out alive. That's the trick of it I think....we do what we need to do and then we get to live. But no matter what we find in DC, I know we will be ok, because this is how we survive. We tell ourselves that we are the walking dead.....

With Walking Dead, AMC created something unbelieavablel. This feeling of Survival, even if it doesnt make sense. So many people died but u still try to Survive, but why? What is the reason? SURVIVAL AND INSTINCTS are the reason, and the walking dead let you feel that. I dont know why but i think this TV-Show is another World-Wonder. You just cant explains the feels you have when watching it.

It's amazing how attached I got to these characters. Everytime one of them dies I feel like I've lost someone dear to me... And I'm a little behind on the show, I'm at season 5 episode 4 and I'm honestly afraid to keep watching because I know some of them will die as they usually do. I love Glenn and Tyrese but Daryl is my favorite. He is such a tortured soul but an incredible man nonetheless.

I've been a Walking Dead fan since the night it aired. It's 1 of the best shows I've ever seen. Music has such an incredible way of enhancing a scene and putting things into a certain perspective. This song really hit me right in the heart when it played during the episode, it moved me to tears. I've become so emotionally invested in these characters, it's funny to me how they feel like family after you become attached an have been watching them for so long. I love imagining what I'd do in their situations, I feel worried and cautious when they meet new people because the humans are just as dangerous as the walkers, love celebrating when the people who deserve to die get what's coming to them, love the moments when they find peace and comfort even though it never lasts long. So many emotional ups and downs, I've spent many Sunday nights yelling and screaming at my t.v. lol. I am going to fucking fall apart when this series is over. I need a hug lol

I couldnt agree more. I tell my wife all the time that the appeal of the show isnt the gore its the characters. You evolve with them and see the horrible things they have to do just to live in a world where there are no rules or promises. Its an epic show. Ive been watching since Halloween of 2010 and will never stop. Best show ever made. But I read the comics as well so take it from me your about to hate Negan!

And who knows what would happen to the both of them alone. Bob held them together, and when Maggie left he went to find her. The best part, his fear was to alone again and he died surrounded by people who cared for him. Good walking dead moment.

After this scene Bob became one of my favorite characters, and for the first time in a long time a character has died and I was actually sad they were gone, even though I miss Hershel still his death came out of nowhere and immediately a huge battle ensued l, whereas Bob died happy and proud with peace with the people he cared about. He became one of the best characters in the show and he became one of my favorites after this scene, in only just over a season. Lawrence Gillard Jr did a great job and Bob will be missed. RIP bob, you will be missed.

the way people love this character after this scene with this song shows the power of music and visuals combined - MTV didn't die because of any change in generation or because of the demise of the quick high of reality television, MTV died because it didn't stay true to itself and neglected the music and visual combination they started successfully with. Teenagers and adults leaving a channel on all day is a dream of any cable or antennae channel. Music opens the mind and the imagination and the mind and imagination are very visual. Audio SFX and music only enhances this and vise a versa. Just a little analogy and analysis to show how these two mediums are forever tightly intertwined.

MTV started the reality TV generation, it created a monster and now the monster is off making better shows.
I mean, it's like 'The Real World' was never made, like it wasn't doing exactly what these shows do, but a lot more genuine. Nowadays I watch Big Brother and it makes me sick - all these desperate, talentless shells of people trying to make it, trying to be famous for sitting around smoking cigarettes and bitching.

Now we have Discovery channel providing all the retarded reality shows we can stomach and when a good show like Walking Dead or Breaking Bad comes along and stays for more than one season without being cancelled, we go fucking nuts!. The only people who really get the TV programs they actually want are teenage girls and Nickelback fans.
stunthumb Actually you can thank Fox for really starting the whole reality craze with the show Cops. And the first season of Survivor. Without those 2 there wouldn't be reality TV, or at least it might not be nearly as popular as it's become.

Easily one of the best songs they've ever played on this show. It's soulful, and almost haunting with it's balance of his powerful solo lyrics and their beautiful harmony on the chorus. I want to sing and record this so bad.
I've lost all i would call close or true friends. It's hard to see a future anymore. I used to be able to hide everything with comedy but i've completely lost that ability. I guess i write this in hopes that somebody understands. I don't know who or what type of people will see this or care. Call it a bottle in the ocean if you want. I just don't know anymore.
