    We just did the full Toytec lift with Hefty front bumper and BMC on our 17 4runner and was thinking of wanting to run the 315 in the Cooper's. The more I see this the more I think the 315 are the option to go with on it

    This is a great build! How is the fit and finish of the icons compared to the kings? Does one seem better made than the other???

    How do these tires do in extreme flexing? I’m thinking of going 34s or 305s and I wheel hard. Body mount chop and trimming?

    I’m looking at the exact same components for my 4runner. Did you have to trim the fenders or fender liners? How did you get 4” out of the Icon lift? Thanks!

    • @CNExplore
      @CNExplore 3 года назад

      Slight trim to the front fender liners done and major bumper chopping alongside with a major chop to the body mount.

  • @christopheralexander5121
    @christopheralexander5121 4 года назад

    Did you have to remove any of the fender plastic liner for the front and rear? Do you think a true 35 would have fit if the front bumper was chopped?

    • @CNExplore
      @CNExplore 4 года назад +1

      Christopher Alexander I ended up chopping my front bumper to fit the 35s the very next day. Highly advise and I still rub when flexed fully

    re-gearing the rear differential can be expensive. From what I've heard is that anything larger than 285/75R17 which is also 33.8" tire re-gearing is needed, if not then VERY recommended. Anything larger than 34" tire in diameter requires re-gearing.

    • @CNExplore
      @CNExplore 4 года назад

      Regeared it for $1800 to 4.88s, running like a champ and no more hiccups. Drove it for about 10k miles before I ended up doing so though

    • @7150285
      @7150285 4 года назад

      @@CNExplore what tire size are you running? I have 32.8" 285/70R17 running on factory stock gear just fine. If I go bigger and heavier, re-gearing probably needed from what I've been told.

    • @CNExplore
      @CNExplore 4 года назад +1

      @@7150285 Haha. This is my car in the video sir, feel free to follow my page on instagram @cnexplore if you'd like. I haven't been posting much content due to COVID. Other than that, I'm probably going to go true 35s for my next set of tires once these 315s wear out.

    • @7150285
      @7150285 4 года назад

      @@CNExplore I'm wanting to get ARB's aftermarket rear diff lock and maybe front as well. Do you know around how much to install lockers on the 5th usually cost for parts & labor? I don't have Trail Edition, TRD OFFRoad or TRD PRO so didn't have electronic rear locker from the factory because I wanted SR5 with third row seating.

    • @7150285
      @7150285 4 года назад

      @@CNExplore also if you run true 35 inch tires. Do you think you'll need for lift up front? Icon Stage 7 front suspension coilover is adjustable from factory ride height of 0 to 3.5inch up front correct? Toytec also came out with 1inch body lift few years ago that can be add on with any suspension lift to give more tire clearance.

  • @thorsky2754

    Looks great but that adds a lot of weight and drag. Driving it on the highway without regearing and maybe a supercharger would drive me nuts.

    • @CNExplore

      Thor Simmer definitely not as bad as I thought, but any small inclines brings me insane. Regear and I’ll all good for now until bumpers

  • @goprogreatness3136
