- In this video, we show you guys how to fit 35-inch tires on a 5th gen 4Runner. We use the new Runnin4Tacos round chop plates to maximize the tire clearance. These chop plates will be available next week.

Those round plates are my favorite option for the body mounts. just cleaner imo

Does the inside of tire rub on uca's? I'm wanting to put 35x12.50x18 on my Runner. I have Icon uca's. Already have bmc and trimmed inner fenders.
Do you have possible measurements for the viper cut? I also will be going c4 later down the road but for right now would like to do the cut bc I have rubbing issues

This looks like it still may rub at compression & at lock? Im gonna go 35's and want to go 17x9 w -38 offset im thinking its gonna rub on this rounded BMC still? Luckily I got the maggie blower to push the taller gear ratio(until I get regeared) and weight
Mine are rubbing more in the rear then the front. Suggestions on lift? Im at 2.5 in the front and 1.5 in the back
Wondering about the wheel specs? offset? Width? Also, any issues with the fluid reservoir clearing the tires? Also curious that Caster that is?
Not sure on the wheel specs sorry. No rubbing issues. Most likely it's just a 0 offset or -10

We chopped it a little which took maybe 30 seconds to cut through
@@Runnin4Tacos had to cut ours as well I seen where some had to make a new bracket and relocate it back some.

Does anyone make a panel to protect and cover all the internals after the bumper cut? I’ve seen a reservoir skid but, does anyone make something like a formed inner fender well liner?
No one does unfortunately. But there are a few washer tank skids and even a relocate tank
Have you guys installed fiberglass fenders on any 4R's? I'm looking into it along with the bmc , Viper cut and trimming inner fender to fit 35s.
Keep haven't and you don't need it to fit 35s
I actually have this exact setup. Stock fenders require more mount trimming. I have ADV fenders and just had to trim the mount 1/4”. You will need spacers or -25 wheels to fully clear these tires from body mount/lower fender mount/UCA. Fiberglass or not.

Are SPC uppers better to go with when fitting 35s rather than a uniball like total chaos?
Yes, SPCs are the best for adjustability.
Do any of the tires rub the reservoirs at full tuck on the rear or with the front wheels turned at full lock?

What does one need to do to make sure the front axles and diffs can handle the new lift and weight of the 35's?
So the OEM axles are really strong. You actually don't want them stronger because you would rather snap an axle than destroy your differential. Cheaper to fix an axle than a whole differential if that makes sense.
What is the off set?
Do you guys not sell that body mount chop weld in plate anymore? Not seeing it on your website. How is the clearance of that plate comparted to the the cab mount relocate you guys sell for the T4R?
Hello, We only install these ourselves for local customers. You can get other brand chop plates there. The chop will not give as much clearance as a relocate kit. But depending on the shop that does it, you can get a really aggressive chop without relocating.
Thanks a lot for the video! Seems like many trim the fenders but it doesn’t seem necessary if the lift is high enough? Do you set the castor as far forward as possible?
Fender liner trimming is needed if you are running bigger than 33" tires. Caster all the way forward for 35s
Just curious, why do you still need the plate to cover the body mount? Can't you just cut it and leave it be without having to weld-on the plate?

What offset are these wheels
did you have to regear with these tires ? and braking experience on road with such heavier tires? I run 295s and i worry about braking distance on roads. wish i could put bigger rotors
Yes we did. We also have upgraded brakes but we don’t have the big brake kit yet

What’s your thought on wheel 1.25”spacer?
Depends on your setup. If you’re on big tires and long travel with little offset on your wheels, you’ll need spacers to fully clear. 34” and up you’ll need to get the tires more out so more offset or wheels spacers

Where can I find those round BMC plates? I looked on your website and couldn't find them
Unfortunately, we do not sell our brand plates because we have had negative feedback when people take them to shops that do bad welds. It makes our product look bad. We only use those for locals that do the chop with us. You can purchase the DRT brand though. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No modification needed for 35's in the rear? No rubbing off road while flexing on the front after these mods? Looks bad ass by the way 👌🏽🔥
It will definitely rub in the top of the fenders fully flexed. You need extended bump stops to control the up travel. My 34s on TRD wheels did so I know this setup will.

they will rub when flexed. All the "no rubbing" talk is when the truck is in a flat parking lot, or making easy turns. Any full lock turns while on angle will still rub.

@@Runnin4Tacos it's just not the same. I would love to have you guys work on my 4runner. You guys seem so down to earth and obviously knowledgeable. Maybe 1 day I'll see you open up in texas you would making a killing if you did. Most of these shops specialize on jeeps and I don't trust their work quality. To many 4runners/tundras/tacos on the streets here but not many offroad shops that specialize on toyotas

R4T is the bomb, so glad i’m only and hour and 15 away. They just did a 3” lift on Elka 2.5 DC’s with SPC UCA’s and a few other things on my 23 SR5P so I could get 33” tires on it and had it all done in around 6.5hrs, including alignment!

You aren't wrong 😂 but they are thicker, not like it's a big support but stronger is always better
Driver needs a good scratch polishing restore work then a offroad ceramic treatment paint care goes a long way and saves you thousands
That body work on the pinch weld is the part I don’t trust at all. It looks like it weakens the body.

@@Runnin4Tacos first and foremost, love the videos! Secondly, can you stuff a 285 75 r17 underneath in the spare location?
@@cashanglin986 yes. It’ll fit no problem. It sticks out a bit lower than the stock spare but its nothing that would interfere with your off-roading.
