Hold steady....the stores wont stay open forever...and if they do get cheap, people will just buy them to flip them down the line in a few yrs...so therefore I think the market will hold steady
@@jimmyjay689 that's a really good point. I was just thinking this last night, physical prices might not come back down due to the "scare" Sony just gave all of us
What's amusing is that some of these prices have skyrocketed even since this video was made! (like a week ago) Odin Sphere is now like $120 on the low end. The store no longer closing may calm down some prices, but I wouldn't expect them to go back to the state they were in before... they are still going to be pricey going forward.
Late to this video watching as of 25th September 2021 in the UK. I can confirm that prices are not going down and are still on the rise. I bought a couple of games around the rumours of the store closing. Ys lacrimosa of dana has gone up in price from £40gbp to £100gbp A rose in the twilight, I paid £65gbp which I was unsure about at the time as I thought it was expensive. The game now goes for anything between £150-250gbp. Persona 4 golden, bought It on release day, pre owned copy's go for around £80-£100gbp. Never got around to playing my copy so it's still sealed. Odin sphere I paid £30 last year and now goes for £85. There's many more games I own and the prices on them are skyrocketing. I imagine in another 10 years the vita will become very collectible.
Wow, must be different by region because I was just looking at some Vita games (I'm NA region) on ebay last night and some are still really high while others have come back down; but most are still worth more than before they said the store was closing which is what started all of this. Thanks for the UK info!
pkgj and other sources is still out there just in case, as much as it's "illegal" but I call it Surprise Game Preservation instead. Yeah I can see why they will increase the prices of PS Vita handheld due to being it's 10 years old by December and the games becoming pre-scalper thing.
I will never sell my vita games. I have around 200 physical. I have the rare ones. Ar no surge and aw Phoenix festa, both unopened. I still want 1001 spikes and vvvvvv, those r the two holy grail vita games.
is not all vita games but a lot of prices gone up I got silent hill book of memories for 60 in late January of this year now it is over 250 brand new sealed and over 100 new other condition dang.
As a collector myself. I will never sell unless its insane.. A few of my most expensive games I have are.. super smash melee (sealed) The Zelda Collection (sealed) Super Mario Sunshine (sealed) and just bought today Twilight Princess (sealed for 700$).. cibs are xd gale of darkness.. silent hill 3.. and ratchet and clank a quest for booty
Seen that trend as well, but I am not sure anyone buys Persona 4 at 120 bucks or Muv Luv at 170. Seems prices are set by bots. We'll see clearer in a few weeks I guess, now that the store is not closing in the few months.
Well if a bot wanted to buy my game for a ludicrous amount of money then let it!!! Haha, but seriously, the prices are already coming back down. Kudos to those who made some serious cash in such a short window because now they can buy again low on most games and not have to even give them up
Nah my man it's one of those things where if you get your hands on games you want for it, you HOLD onto them. No matter how much they go for. This entire thing is bullshit either way you look at it
I'm over it. Atleast thet decided to keep the stores open. It's not making enough money. Eventually they will have to stop the support. All I heard was Vita is dead. And the fans help bury it, they spoke it into existence. There are good games on it. But it was expensive tech. The games are cheap as hell and have been.
well PS3 and PS Vita stores are not going down now so the prices of physical games will go down for them but PSP is still going to be in a bad position
Not necessarily true. It's up to people selling them to decide. Some games that were going up in price were were sort of going down after the announcement of not closing. Jak and Daxter trilogy is like a $30 max game pack, was around $45 before the closure announcement, shot up to $100 the max I seen it after, then since not closing lowest I've seen it go for was $70. Either way it's fucking ridiculous though. I want Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper, as well as God of War are the main ones. But nope.
It's Persona 4 Dancing All Night that I would sell, not Persona 4 Golden, and I would sell because while I like rhythm games I'm actually not a fan of that one. I like IA/VT Colorful, Xonic, and DJ Maxx Technika Tune way more when it comes to rhythm games. I only held onto Dancing All Night cuz it was worthless in terms of resale value, and now it's up over $100! Wouldn't you sell a game that's been sitting on your shelf you haven't played in over a year that you didn't really end up liking if you could make about $100 profit?!?
Pretty sure skyrocketing is a word that is in the dictionary. I don't think your copying people just because you use a word that is in the dictionary, so I don't understand where the problem is but aight😎
So glad I bought 75 physical vita games in the last couple months. The prices for most have almost doubled.
Hahaha, wow! Definitely going to be able to make some money there!!
Lol it’s not closing

0:19 I do.
Still have my PSP and my broken darth Vader PSP. Still play crisis core, modnation racer, and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3.
That Darth Vader psp was so awesome!
I still use my PSP’s. I’ve got more games for that console than any other 🎮
Ever since they announced they will no longer be canceling the vita store I wonder how the market for physical games will be like
I imagine they will most likely drop back to normal. I was planning on selling a few, but oh well.
I hope they do drop back down since there's a few that missed my grasp.
I don't wanna pay up to $150 for Y's 8 😂🤣
Ys 8 was already climbing in price before all this, so not sure if it'll come down much. Good luck though!
