Jean able to hold off the water, prevent Nightcrawler from teleporting, fly the jet, and speak through Charles all at the same time. 😳
jean is different. in the comics shes crazy op, although the same could be said for many of the characters
@@AnonymousSaiyan seriously some of the X-Men characters have crazy powers. They wouldn't need the infinity stones to do what Thanos did.
IKR! Logan was the least of their worries!
and that's only a fraction of her power. she's an omega level mutant and possesses a hidden cosmic power (slight spoiler.............................................................................................
the phoenix force)
Well the Phoenix force is an alien cosmic entity that she (in the comics) became a host for. And in these X-Men movies there aren't any Omega level mutants, since the concept didn't exist yet.
I like that magneto and pyro are in the same class... as in neither of them can create the element but control it... elemental controllers... stryker also said kill him too if he approaches because he was clever enough to think mystique could take his form
54:26 “Her eyes just went out” So glad you noticed this detail because it’s often gets overlooked.
When they’re under the influence their eyes are silver. The drug wore off just as she was dying. That’s why her expression softened as she looked at Logan. It’s actually pretty sad.
Great reaction!
I was also thinking that if her healing factor is as good as wolverines, she's probably still alive. She just can't move because her muscles are basically coated in adamantium.
Jason Stryker was called the Illusionist in this film, able to create illusions in people's minds to confuse their sense of what's real, however in the comics his mutant power is to project a blinding white light from his body which can render people unconscious.
Magneto isn't truly interested in wiping out the X-Men, because they're still mutants and they're still part of his 'people' if you will. He's still hoping he can win them over to his point of view and thus become that much stronger against what he sees as the true threat: humans.
I’m pretty sure that he was supposed to be Mastermind.
What I like about the X-Men characters is that no one is strictly "good" or "bad". Everyone has their motives. I'm looking forward to your reaction to #XMenFirstClass.
I LOVE how you guys research terms and lore between movie/ show episodes. Shows dedicating
You guys are definitely going to enjoy this one.
In the comics, Scott , Bobby and Jean were among Charles’s 1st students. At one point they were captured so Charles recruited Logan, Storm, Kurt, and Peter.
Giant Size X-Men no-1#-also recruited Warpath,Banshee and Sunfire. Angel and Beast were also among Charle's 1st students.
@@kerry-j4m none of those characters have been introduced as of X2...
Don't feel any way guys. Everyone loves Mystique and Magneto as much as they love the good Xmen. Especially this era.
Vibranium and Adamantium are 2 different metals and in the comics captain america shield is made with a mix of both metals because they didnt have enough Vibranium to make it out of full Vibranium and thats why cap mcu shield is weak compared to the comic one and if mcu cap had the comic shield thanos would've never been able to break it like he did in endgame
Nightcrawler was so badass in this one, sadly we've never really gotten the full scope of how cool some of the characters' powers can be, but we got a glimpse of his at least, honestly would've taken a whole movie full of scenes like that opening with the white house... In the comics he teleports by traveling through a hostile dimension which is why Sulphur and smoke and brimstone puff into a cloud everytime he teleports, he's leaving a little bit of that other atmosphere behind, also if he teleports you it's extremely taxing on your body, so sometimes during fights he uses teleports to save people but also he would grab an enemy and then teleport many times in a row very quickly and although he's okay because he's used to it, it makes the enemy pass out. We've even seen him use that technique to slow down Wolverine in the comics, teleporting him hundreds of times extremely fast to the point where he can't even stand.
In the comic books, magneto is Wanda’s father And Wanda is a mutant She’s from the X-Men comic books
Remembering the book Magneto was reading but forgetting things like Magneto taking the helicopter cracked me up more than it should have.
In the comics Scott, Jean and Wolverine become a thrupple. Also, Wanda and Pietro are Magneto's children. Magneto also has two other mutant children: Lorna Dane and Zaladane.
IMO this is the B E S T X-Men movie until X-Men Days Of Future Past! The two BEST movies in the X-Men movies history! Love you guys and hope your 2024 is ROCKIN!

I saw all that yesterday 🤣😆💪😎
After that come X-Men first class.
Wanda and Jean are not related
@@colleenross8752 who said that? I never said that
@@asiaroberson3442 Lou from the bagel shop said it
Mystique as “Grace” is actually Rebecca Romijn (the actress for mystique without any of the makeup)
Stan Lee admitted that creating the X-Men was inspired by the Civil Right's Movements of the 60's. They were arguably the most explicitly political comics he had ever created by that time. As a young gay kid, I really identified with the whole X-Men franchise starting with the 90's cartoon. Being afraid of people finding out what you really are because you know there are people out there that hate and fear you. Politicians rallying against you. I was still in the closet and only 14 when Matthew Shepard happened. I saw this movie in theaters when I was 19 and really felt that line when the mom asks Bobby, "Have you tried Not being a mutant?" After I came out of the closet at 16, I had dozens of people ask me basically that same thing about being gay. I appreciated the allegory here.
Wolverine was already a mutant but they made him stronger with the metal because they use mutants and superhumans in war and other combat reasons all throughout the Marvel comic lol. Logan is the main character in the movies but in the comics he’s not always front and center. They just choose him for some reason in the storyline
The thing about Nightcrawler is no matter how stealthy he is...every time he teleports you hear the pop of the air imploding not to mention the sulfur cloud and sulphur smell.
In the comics Nightcrawler is related to Mystique (mother). Nightcrawler was created by X-Men artist Dave Cockrum. He was the new artist for the all new all different X-Men who appeared in Giant Size X-Men #1 and subsequently in X-Men #94-107.
Then John Byrne artist and Chris Claremont writer took over the reins. Issue #100 had the original X-Men fighting the new X-Men. #105 had the first appearance of Jean Grey as the Phoenix.
Wolverine's Adamantium claws are razor sharp. They don't need sharpening. 😂
The X-Men's jet is loosely based on the top secret SR-71 spy plane developed for the military. It is a supersonic jet. 😮
The fire mutants code name is Pyro. The metallic mutant is Piotyr Rasputin a k.a. Colossus. He can turns his flesh into organic steel. So he is super strong and super tough. 😅
Vibranium was created from a meteor that fell on the African continent. Adamantium is an alloy that once it hardens is almost indestructible. But while Adamantium can cut through almost anything Vibranium can cut through Adamantium. 😮
There's a difference between telepathy and telekinesis. Professor X is a telepath so he can get into people's mind. Jean is both, so she can get into people's minds as well as interact with the physical world with her mind. She's rare. Generally you'd only have one.
Adamantium and vibranium are two different things. Adamantium is indestructible. Vibranium can absorb kinetic energy.
This universe isn't connected to the MCU. But for the longest time in the comics, Magneto was known to be Wanda's and Pietro's father. MCU changed that since X-Men couldn't be part of the MCU because it was Fox. They couldn't even be mutants. Nightcrawler's mother is Mystique in the comics, and Rogue's for a time, too. Rogue and Kurt were siblings.
Poké ball for night crawler is hilarious 😂
Sir Ian McKellan admitted playing Magneto is more enjoyable than Gandalf.
A villain that doesn't consider himself to be a villain
I love Mystique when she says, "Even zerr voice." 😁
Logan had special strong bones and claws before the metal was put onto them. He also has the ability to self heal.
Wonda is Magneto daughter is DC Comics.
wanda and quicksilver is Kids of Megnito.
But in DCEU thats different.
Jean Grey have the Powe of Phenix, the most powerful Mythical Creature.
Also Cable (you have seen on Deadpool) is son of Jean and Scoot
Nightcrawler is my favorite marvel character of all time! He doesn't get too much attention in the movies, but this was my introduction to him. I ended up loving him even more in the comics and cartoons.
Thank you guys. I kid you not, you guys are the only couple I keep up with that does reactions. Keep up the great content.
Glad y'all like the X-Mens😂 Sounding like my Mama saying Wal-Mark🤣🤣🤣🤣
hahahahahahahahahah omg that sounds like mama says WalMarts
There is so much to say and your point of view will change as you progress but I would not ruin it. It is so much fun watching you both learn as it unfolds. I was trying to guess who has more insight. At this point it goes to your girlfriend. What I love is that it is not as it appears. Your reactions are genuine and fun. I am so happy your are reacting to this series.
adamantium is separate from vibranium. adamantium's special property is that it is unbreakable, vibranium absorbs impacts
Yes, he is. Just wait until you see First Class and the greatest superhero movie of all, X-Men Days of Future Past
I was 19 years old in 2003.
In the Comics Wanda and Pietro are Magneto’s kids.
It's not a different universe, it's the same Marvel universe with different characters licensed to different film studios.
The entire X men series every one of them is enjoyable. Sometimes especially in these first 3 movies they push the politics a good bit. It can be annoying if you feel like they're pushing it on you. But the movies are great. The power level of some of these guys is pretty scary for me. The x men do the best job of creatively using their powers. That's where the most fun comes in
Wanda is the daughter of Megneto
X-Men 2 is the best X-men movie
Jean is the most powerful Telepath (mind reading) on the Planet in raw power .Xavier is more skilled .Jean is also a Telkinetic .She could pick up a Commercial Jet liner easily .
I kinda like your hair, dude. That's a stylish shaggy 'do.
Vibranium can be melted down and reshaped, adamantium can’t once it cools that’s it
And stop hating on Cyclop 😂😂😂 lol. He IS actually my favorite I like the underdog and he’s the leader for a reason. How many mutants you kno can split a Mountain in two?????
Jean Grey/Phoenix Big Powerfull X-Men and
Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch Powerfull Avengers and Mutants
You guys are great to watch. Love this movie.
Bro , how the hell did you jump to the conclusion that the military was under magnetos control!?
The "Why is he German" cracked me up😂 Such a random question lol!
Ikr. Reminds me of the video where the interviewer says, "why are you gae?" Such a random
I had to pause the video on that part. Like, really? Lol
Exactly I was thinking Why is she American?
Y'all are so lost in parts of the story of these movies😂😂 hopefully during editing y'all get a better grasp on powers, abilities, and the plot. Love y'all either way ❤
Yeah, I’ve never seen anyone struggle with understanding what’s going on as much as these two with this film🤣
"Kill anyone who approaches, even if it's me..." Stryker said that because it could be Mystique disguising herself.
👍🙂❤
Nightcrawler is german because he was born in Germany.
👍🙂❤
Fun fact Storm or Ororo Munroe‘s powers aren’t just wether manipulation. Storm has the ability to control and manipulate atmospheres and ecosystems on a molecular level, this means that storm can control the gases that make up an atmosphere, cause hurricanes, summon lighting and thunder, make it rain, pull the oxygen out of the air, breathe under water, breathe in space, fly, fly in space using solar wind, summon cosmic thunder and lighting, erupt volcanoes, cause tsunami’s modify temperature, distort electrical fields in people’s brains, move the sunn, and so much more.
Storm is also extremely skilled at hand to hand combat, has magical potential, has been worshiped as a god and is immune to all extreme environments.
Halle berry fraught tirelessly for storm to have more to do in the films, but Fox didn’t think people would be interested in storm being more then a side character or so they said despite the huge popularity the character gained in mainstream media after the films were released.
Storm has also been a leader of the x-men team witch is a part of her larger story referenced in the films and is the wife of black panther. Storm has huge ties with Wakanda and because of this fans hope to see her in a solo film or turn up as the first or one of the first x men in the MCU showing of all here powers, so to sum it up you have great taste MRS October.
Side note i think the long hair looks good MR October.
When they first talked about having a female led movie I always wanted Storm. Yet they went and messed up the Dark Phoenix x2. Maybe I should be glad they didn't do Storm. 😂
You talking about Storm's modern-day comic book abilities, but she wasn't always that powerful. She started off with just weather control and her powers grew over time. In the movies we don't have modern-day Omega level Storm who can control solar winds, survive in space, distort electrical fields inside people's brains and affect the sun. In these movies she's 1990s Storm with the power levels of that era, as listed in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. Back then she only had weather control, and her power level was limited by her will and physical stamina. She almost died from the strain of stopping a blizzaed covering most of the North American continent. So still very powerful, but nowhere close to her level in 2020 and later comics.
As for Halle Berrry, she was ok for the era, but her depiction didn't affect Storm's popularity much. The character was already hugely popular thanks to the 1990s animated X-Men series and video games. And Storm was already well known to comic book readers. But the FOX films didn't really boost the characters. Hugh Jackman became a huge Holywood star thanks to his role in the X-Men films, but it was his personal popularity that skyrocketed among the public, not Wolverine. As a franchise, the X-Men's popularity peaked in the 1980s and 1990s, not after the FOX films were released.
They messed them up but they still made them, i think people would rather have more storm the no storm at all, and if Logan can have 3 solo films and all the other x men films as attempts i think storm should get a few tries to.
Also storm has always had the ability to manipulate atmospheres, wether is defined as the mixture of events that happen regularly in are atmosphere gass, heat, temperature, UV radiation all over the planet.
The creators just realised over time that people liked superhero’s that were based in some sort of science and overtime explained her powers better in modern comics, by the time the first movie went in to production they had the material they needed to show of all her ability’s in the movies, the studio just decided not to.
She's not a Witch, even they not mention that in the movie
I always thought Angela Basset would have been a better Storm. She is Regal- that is something Halle Berry although she was good just did not have.
Dudes! You guys really have to pay better attention. It was clear that Magneto had nothing to do with orchestrating the raid on the school, or the experiment on Logan to give him the adamantium. Stryker was not a mutant. All the conclusions you came to early were wrong cause you're too busy talking or trying to be funny. I'm sorry, I don't want to be so critical, but it's frustrating. And Magneto told Charles that Stryker made him disclose everything about the school and Cerebro. Magneto is as much of a victim of Stryker as Charles is.
The woman logas fights is lady DEATH STRIKE. badass
Vibranium and adamantium are not the same type of metal but both exist in the MCU. It's just we haven't been introduced to adamantium yet. Vibranium is sound absorbent with durability being three times stronger than titanium steel while also being a third of the weight. Vibranium is undetectable to metal detective it can be used in different type of weapons and can be weave into clothing while also being able to repair damaged tissue. On the other hand adamantium is heavy while also being 5 times more durable than titanium steel. Adamantium is highly conductive to electricity and heat. The only true drawback to adamantium is highly toxic to skin cells.
We sort of have, as Cap’s shield is made of an amalgam of both metals
Adamantium used to be Magnetos weakness, only in this movie did they decide he could control it.
@@johnmonk66 What? Magneto ripped the adamantium straight off the bone in the comics, and Charles went crazy thinking Magneto had killed Wolverine, and hit Magneto with a psychic blast so powerful it created Onslaught. Adamantium has never been a weakness of Magneto. You must have upvoted your own comment because no one believes this.
Magnets ONLY affect iron and alloys that contain iron, he can't affect gold, aluminum, copper, etc. In the original comics, back when your mommy was a child, his character was based on SCIENCE, not fairy tales. He also cant affect Captain Americas Shield, no iron.@@kennyhudson9201
adamantium is def more than just 5 times stronger than steel also its not toxic thats just a thing they did in logan
Mystique gives dude a shot of weird stuff. Magneto pulls iron out of his blood.
Yall- is he taking too many iron pills???? 😂
In one version of the comics, Nightcrawler is Mystique’s son and she adopted Rogue at one point. Rogue also stole Carol Danvers’s powers so she has super strength and can fly.
She didn't just steal her powers, she stole her entire being, including her personality. She killed Carol Danvers and took everything from her permanently.
@@kennyhudson9201 nope. Carol was I'm a coma after her encounter with Rogue. Not dead.
I think you guys didnt catch that when Stryker gave Magneto that serum shot at the back of neck, its like making them compliant and follow orders. So, basically Magneto told him everything he wanted to know and he couldnt resist because of the drug.
Bro they know so little. Actually the girl is way better
Wait wait, you thought the guy beating up magneto... brainwashing him... you thought he was "working for magneto" 😂😂😂
If you recall Magneto and Xavier talking in the plastic prison at the end of the first movie, they foreshadowed Stryker attacking the school.
Kind of cold of Magneto to leave Charles like that though, isn’t it? Was he going to leave Charles to DIE?
They remember nothing pretty much.
@@crimsonjedi are you talking about the reactor?
@@matthewschwartz6607 I don’t think it’s that simple, magneto was locked up. If it wasn’t for mystique he never would have escaped. I believe wholeheartedly magneto would have defended that school
The hot blonde in the bar is Rebecca Romijn. She is the one who actually plays Mystique.
"Why is he German?" Because Nightcrawler is a German character. He's also religious.
X-Men has characters with different nationalities - Wolverine is Canadian, Storm is African (though here she doesn't have the accent because I think Halle Berry couldn't do it) & If you noticed the student who could turn metallic, that's Colossus & he's Russian (but they didn't do the character right until the 1st Deadpool movie).
Also, that's what the actual actress who plays Mystique looks like, Rebecka Romijn.
I thought storm was Haitian
@@lavinder11 Nope, African. I don't know which part exactly, but in the Apocalypse movie she's from Cairo.
Storm was born in Harlem, NY. Her father was a Black American, and her mother was Kenyan. They died in Cairo when she was like 5. She grew up there until she relocated to Kenya, where she was worshipped as a goddess due to her mutant powers
*I've had frequent visits from William Stryker* - Magento to Xavier, after we just saw Stryker in Magneto's cell.
"Who is Styker?"
"Um, Stryker is that guy. The President - right?"
"No Stryker is a mutant."
"No his son is."
Cripes.
Hey, go easy on us you would be amazed how much you don’t catch when you watch movies try not to think that just because you seen it 1 million times we’re supposed to catch everything maybe you should try and see how hard it is
24:20 Magneto has nothing to do with what Striker is doing.
That liquid thingy that he put on Magneto's neck is a way to control him making him comply in revealing everything about the school and cerebro.
No.

The metal guy is called colossus
It's funny how in the first movie Rogue told Logan to wear his seatbelt before he flew out the window of his camper. In this movie Rogue got sucked out of the plane because she wasn't wearing her seatbelt.
As a child of the 80's and 90's, we grew up with the cards, comics, the cartoons, the games and absolutely LOVED the X-MEN. This was the actual beginning of the Marvel Universe on screen. The first film seemed to be hesitant, not knowing which direction to go in. There were so many stories to go in understandably. But this is when the series hits its stride and is absolutely amazing...even Uncanny.
I understood that reference.🙂
I want to agree that YES X Men helped Marvel but Blade was first in the Marvel universe. By this time fox owned X-Men and Sony owned spiderman
Ummmmm. Actually, "Blade," released in 1998, was the first modern Marvel movie. The success of that movie paved the way for movies like X-Men. That's why Wesley Snipes is referred to as the Godfather of the modern superhero movie. Now of course there was also "Howard the Duck" back in the 80's but he's not technically a superhero per se. And, let's face it, no superhero movie should have a musical number in it. Also at the time the "Conan the Barbarian" and "Conan the Destroyer" movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and "Red Sonja" starring Briggette Nielsen from the 80's were made, Marvel owned the rights to both characters (at least the comic book rights). But my original point is Blade came first.
Modern Marvel movies started with Blade (1999), that being said you still have older movies (made for TV) like Hulk/Captain America/Spider man/Thor/Daredevil/Nick Fury Agent of Shield all made in the 80`s/90`s, You also have Conan and Howard the Duck.

You forgot Howard The Duck (1986).
Mutants are a potential danger but to be blunt that "kid having a bad day" scenario has happened too many times in our history with just regular people. Adults too. Humans and mutants all have a choice to be good or evil
Right now, imagine in real life we were given the ability to shoot lasers out of her eyes. Come on dude.
@@TheOctobersReact I feel you, storm ain't on the same level as a school shooter but targeting people who are potential threat is a slippery slope. Remember Captain America Two?
100%! Look at all the evil humanity already does
Mr. October: "Ain't that such an invasion of privacy though?" Ms. October: "Yeah but isn't it majestic AF though?" Bahaha, you guys are awesome.
The X-Men are a general metaphor for marginalized people and how society treats them, so there is often a political thread running through the stories. If mutants were embraced and loved for their powers instead of feared or weaponized, the stories would be very different. Dealing with "bad" mutants should be the same as dealing with "bad" humans, on an individual basis.
Seeing these old X-Men movies is so wild. Very different from modern day superhero movies.
She shot the iron shavings into him during the bar bathroom scene, so he could yank it out as a weapon.
In the Comics Nightcrawler is the son of Mystique and a Mutant named Azazel, (whom won't be introduced until X-Men First Class. Just rememberKurt's powers and you'llknow).
The opening scene of this movie is one the best action sequences in any comic movie ever
Stryker- My son screwed with our minds
Stryker's son gets wheeled in....
Yall- I wonder what he can do? 😂
Everytime I see anything X-Men related, makes me can't wait to see Deadpool 3 even more
"MAGNETO IS A TOP TIER VILLAIN!" - This is also true in the comics. Magneto (created in 1963) still ranks as one of the top most iconic villains in all of Marvel.
- Why Mutants? As the Marvel Universe grew, Stan Lee & Jack Kirby found it increasingly difficult to come up with unique origin stories for all super heroes and villains. Saying many were born with a mutant gene solved this issue for a lot of characters.
- According to Marvel Database, there are currently over 80,000 characters in the Marvel Multiverse.
That’s cool.
1:15:00 the Professor didn't shock the president, he even Said it wasnt a treat, he gave documents about the other who wanna start the war. Jean was talking in the end of the movie, for US to know She ain't death, Also, this movies are based from the cómics and anime, who was already fan knows that Jane can Turn into a Phoenix and that the figure in the water that you saw. She is the most powerful mutant 💅💪 I recommend you to watch the anime in the 90s of X-men. It was so cool 😍
You can make the case magneto an antihero not a villain tbh I mean he’s doing it for it his people that was wronged.
Magneto kicks a**
Waiting for the best X3 reaction
Storm eventually marries T'Challa (Black Panther).
And yes Wolverine's claws do hurt everytime they come out... which is why he says (in the comics) "I only bring these out when I fully intend to kill, thats the only thing that makes that pain worth it". Also as for him bein the only adult at the school.. hes more than enough. He could take out a whole army by himself... the things hes done... Lets just say Id rather take my chance fighting the Hulk than fighting him. Also fun facts Lady Deathstrike (the girl with the nails) is Wolverine's ex wife and Storm is Black Panthers ex wife... and since the movies never tell you this Mystique is Nightcrawlers mother and Rogues (adoptive) mother.
Also no adamantium and Vibranium are different
In the comics, some crossover with the avengers
Jean is a nexus being - which is any person with the power and capability to drastically affect probability / reality and time
Wanda is also a nexus being
Wanda and Pietro are Magneto’s children
Storm and Black Panther get married
Rogue has the ability to fly because she steals Ms. Marvels power
There have been a bunch of avengers who have been in xmen and Vice versa
I love how X-Men are based out of my home of Westchester, New York and i can tell you, we definitely got some mutants up in this piece.
I can’t wait to see how yall interpret the X-Timeline. It’s easier to make sense of once you’ve seen ALL the films.
Brian Cox Stryker, the original Hannibal Lecter Manhunter movie 1986. Anthony is great. But Brian seems more physically stronger dangerous.
You said you didn’t know these films would be so political. Well, the comics that inspired them, and the themes they cover are wrapped up in sociology. The books were always about social issues. Racism, equality, social justice, tribalism, etc, are all topics that the X comics go into. It’s at the heart of the books themselves.
And remember, comics are just another medium for us to use to gain a deeper understanding of our own species and the human condition, whether we know it or not. 😊
That big “metallic man” is a popular X character called “Colossus.” He’s awesome. I know you guys aren’t comic readers, but things like that get us fans PUMPED- to see cameos of other characters making it into the films. There are actually lots of easter eggs and callbacks and mentions of other characters. In the first film, the senator mentions a girl in Illinois who can walk through walls, and they ask what’s to stop her from walking into a bank vault. The girl they mentioned is another X character called “Shadowcat.” There are lots of other Easter eggs like that throughout the films.
Stan Lee created X-Men based from the Civil Rights movement. Professor Xavier is based from Martin Luther King Jr. And Magneto is based from Malcolm X. MLK took a more peaceful approach, and Malcom X was more of the aggressor.
The point of xmen has always been to draw parallels to real life and things like the civil rights movement and the thing with Bobby (IceMan) and his family was like a gay kid coming out to his parents and their reactions to that. So, it's meant to draw from those real life issues.
Also, not to confuse you but X-men is Marvel. It's just that the movies aren't directly connected to the MCU movies because at the time, Fox owned the rights to X-men. But now that they're all under Disney, they have brought the X-men characters into the MCU, and you'll start to see them in future MCU projects.
That scene with Bobby talking to his parents about being a mutant is very meaningful. It is a representation of an LGBTQ+ person coming out to their parents. The X-Men were created in the 1960s at the height of the civil rights movement. In the stories, mutants are an allegory for persecuted minorities hated and persecuted by society just for being who they are. The film's director, Brian Singer, said in an interview that this scene was the most important and special for him as he was openly gay. Bobby's mother's line asking "But have you ever tried not to be a mutant" has a very profound impact because most of us have heard this from a relative or friend. Currently, Iceman, one of the most important and powerful characters in the X-men, is also a gay character in the comics.
Mystique isn't evil- she is an old friend of Professor X and a very complex character who was ridiculed and bullied growing up for looking blue; helps understand why she follows Magneto's ideology. It is also why she say to Nightcrawler (her long lost son) that they shouldn't have to hide their true form.
“Why is he german though” is such a wild question lmao. He’s german because he’s german lol. Born in germany.
