Incase you didn't know, this isn't the Deadpool from the comics or ANY accurate representation of Deadpool, ever. This movie had tons of studio interference, but has some decent gems. Only took Ryan Reynolds another 10 years to finally convince Fox to finally make a proper Deadpool movie after "someone" leaked test footage online. Ryan Reynolds had been trying to convince Fox over 20 years to make a Deadpool movie.
Exactly. It's just some mutant who happens to be named Wade Wilson and has the same personality as Deadpool but this guy got turned into Weapon 11 or as I call him, Powerstorm.
Actually, this Deadpool, code name: Weapon XI, WAS the original one. I remembered him from the comics in the 1980s. I only never knew how he became the later red suit version. I remember loving both in the comics.
@@Etereysit was definitely a low point looking back at the movie. But it’s also fun seeing how they always tried full realism with comics and always end up failing. But this Deadpool is absolutely accurate to one of the ones from the comics

So yes Wolverine, Sabretooth(his brother) and Deadpool were in an earlier group of mutants together called weapon X. This is an adaptation of that group. Although they don’t quite do Deadpool justice at the end but Wade Wilson here is definitely Deadpool.
Wolverine's natural mutation gave him his claws and healing factor. The military added the adamantium, making his skeleton indestructible. Logan was specifically chosen because his healing abiliity is what enabled him to survive the process of having supeheated metal injected and bonded to his bones.
Wolverine is "Weapon X" X being the Roman numeral for 10. He is the 10th super soldier experiment after Captain America being #1 "Project Rebirth" Each super soldier project is part of the "Weapons Plus" program. In the MCU they made The Hulk a part of the Weapons Plus program, but he wasn't in the comics.
One of the interesting things about Wolverine is his healing factor is significantly blunted by the adamantium. His body is constantly fighting it. Also there are several special metals in the Marvel Universe, adamantium and vibranium are just two of them.
It was said, many years ago, in the X-men comics, that Cyclops can't control his eye beams because of the head injury he received upon landing, when his father had to strap him and his younger brother, Alex in a parachute and toss them out of an airplane because the plane was attacked by the Shi'ar. Their father thought they were dead because the parachute caught fire.
Also fun comic fact. Every year on Logans birthday victor stops by and either horrifically murders his friends or trys ro kill him. Its become a thing with him that every year he reminds wolverine of exactly what he is. According to Sabretooth anyway.
Logan's real name/birthname is James Howlett, and you are correct that "Logan" is a new name he gave himself. His 'brother' Victor that's in the movie is Sabertooth, who is more or less Wolverine's arch nemesis in the comics. He's actually also supposed to be big guy that was on Magneto's team in the first movie! But Logan and Victor being actual brothers was made up for the movies only.
His Biological Father is Thomas Logan. His supposed Father is John Howlett Sr. His mother is Elizabeth Howlett. James also had an older brother John Howlett jr. who died before James ever knew him. It is supposed that both John and James are the son of Thomas Logan and Elizabeth Howlett through an adulterous affair. Thomas Logan also had another son whom Thomas called Doge. Victor Cree was (originally) an external character that arrived by dog-sled after James ran away from home. The Wolverine and X-films are fun, but they change a lot of the characters, like Deadpool. Deadpool is known in the comics as “The Merc with the Mouth.” He’s a killer who never shuts up. In this film, they took away his ability to speak at the end for some reason, as well as giving him those arm-swords, and comic fans were left scratching their heads. The Deadpool films that come later do a much better job of portraying the character accurately. Ryan Reynolds is perfect for that role! This is where the plot and the timelines start to get a lot of holes in them. For instance, they never talk about Wolverine and Sabertooth being brothers in the original X-Men film. Granted they tried to fix that by making Logan lose his memories. But Sabertooth did not.

It wasn't till a storyline in the comics in 1993 when Magneto pulled the adamantium from Logans bones is we found out Logan always had bone claws. (Jean Grey had to use her telekinetic powers to keep Logans body from ripping apart.
You can say it Mrs. October lol.. we all watched this and were like "what the heck is going on right now?" I totally forgot this movie existed, and by the time you finish the X-men series, you'll probably forget about this one too
I don't know how received this movie is now but back when I watched it for the first time, it got a lot of sh*t. BUT I love this movie a lot, bunch of good moments, THAT intro sequence with them two fighting in different wars and stuff? Epic.
Now that you watch this i can tell you that Sabertooth from Xman 1 is Wolverine half-brother. But both live so long at some point in their life they lost their memories. Logan from an adamantium bullet
Sabertooth isn't his brother in the comics. They are actually enemies. They view their similar mutations vastly differently and believe the other is wrong. They fight almost every time they see each other.
Victor Creed, also known as Sabretooth, is the same character working with Magneto and Mystique in the first X-Men movie. The part was re-cast with Liev Schreiber for this film. If there is one thing the X-Men films is not, it is consistent. Some of the seeming plot holes will be addressed (kinda) in future films in the series. Because of the rights issues hanging over who owned what parts of Marvel lore at the time these films were being made, the X-Men could only use the term Adamantium to describe the metal that infuses Wolverine's skeleton. In the comic book lore, if you mix Vibranium with steel, you create Adamantium. But Fox studios did not have the legal rights to use the term Vibranium. This film was intended to be the introduction of the Deadpool character, but the writers and filmmakers decided to go in a completely opposite direction of what made the character popular with the comic readers. Wade in the comics is known as the "Merc with the Mouth." So of course they sealed his mouth, made him half-naked instead of in his traditional red and black costume, and gave him all sorts of powers the character does not have in the comics. It was Ryan Reynolds hope to somehow play the character as he was meant to be portrayed, but Fox wasn't willing to take that risk for many, many years. Can't wait until you finally reach the Deadpool films.
IN 2001, They published a 6- issue series Wolverine: The Origin. It started in Canada, in the late 1800's, when he was a boy, James Howlett. The man he accidentally killed, who turned out to be his father was named Thomas Logan. They really butchered his origin story. By the way, stopping Wolverine with an adamantium bullet, is like killing Iceman with an iceball, or the Human Torch with a flamethrower.
Def check out Hulk vs Wolverine the animated movie, it's actually the best wolvie adaptation and a nod to his first appearance. Also had throwbacks to the most legendary run BWS Weapon -X.
His real full name is James Logan. His last name is from the man married to his mother, whom thought James was his son. His half brother, Victor...aka Sabertooth, calls him James, Jimmy for short. After the Adamantium bullet head shot Logan got and then his brother turning more animalistic and less human over time, both brothers have memory loss and don't know they are related. In Xmen one, Sabertooth was played by a long blonde headed animal looking guy that could barely speak and seemed to look like a neanderthal or some 70's hair metal band caveman. Both of them fight and can't stand each other, but can't remember why. The comics, and because of legal stuff (between studios that bought off characters from Marvel,) back then 20th Century Fox couldn't call the metal coating Logan's skeleton Vibranium, so it was changed to Adamantium. Plus, I believe Adamantium is mixed with a different element, which makes it ALMOST as hard as the pure vibranium metal in Wakanda. People crap on this movie, but I loved it. I prefer if Deadpool had this blade speed capability in his Deadpool movies, but he doesn't. In Ryan Reynolds humor he 4th walls a lot of referenced jokes, poking fun at other characters he's played...he poked fun at the super blade fighting he did in this movie. Again...I loved it. It gave a good background to Logan that answers a lot about him in the other 3 Xmen movies. Very old from the 1800's, born in Canada, fought in every war and suffers long term PTSD. Had a love and lost her, how he lost his memory, what he did with Stryker that he can't remember, his real name, and he has a half brother that he detests, but can't remember. The timelines between these movies don't have consistency throughout them. So, don't worry about that part. One movie clears up the ones that you've seen this far. The newer ones though: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, went ahead and messed it all up again. Imo. Hope you liked this movie in spite of the negativity around it. My biggest gripe with the portrayal of a character is how very wrong they did Storm. The disrespect is unbelievable. She is an extremely powerful being and comes from a legacy of powerful witches. She can alter planets and other crazy things... They reduced her fighting skills and could never get her accent right. I need her to be on 10 like she is in the comics and cartoon.
People were pretty upset about "the merc with a mouth" being turned into a mute composite mutant. They used to call him "Dudepeel". Still, Ryan Reynolds was great in the role and it opened the door to him playing the more comic-y version later on, and I guess despite the many holes all the X-Men and Deadpool films are technically in the same canon.
Mrs October you’re allowed to not like films it’s the honesty that people like. You two are not offending anyone. It’s an older movie of course it’s corny (one of the reasons I still love it🤣) You’re completely ok to not like something in 2024. Y’all are awesome don’t let the people get to you

Ok, I just thought of this. You know how you get could rid of Wolverine? Sink him in the ocean. He's heavy; he'll sink without extra weight. He comes to and starts swimming upward. But he can't hold his breath long enough and besides, he gets the bends. He dies and sinks. He comes to. Rinse and repeat.
His birth name is James Logan Howlett. He usually goes by Logan unless is a specific person that knows that much about him. That ik theres two Sabretooth and Mystique.
In my opinion, to this day; the death of that elderly farm couple is the most upsetting, unfair death in any superhero movie. They were legit the nicest couple. Gave Logan a bed, a meal and some old clothes. Then killed while giving him breakfast 😢
Broooooooo thats NOT DEADPOOL. Thats a monstrocity from the Movie studios. That is why years later Ryan Renolds pushed for a reboot/remake of the character, to redeem himself.
The best x-men movie, imo. Logan and Victor duo is crazy, hope he returns some day Deadpool 3 spoilers: (instead they gave us the one from the first movie)
Okay, first remember that in any superhero film with origin stories embedded, don’t take any of it as absolute. Everyone retcons characters to fit the storyline of the particular movie and usually doesn’t relate to any other movie. Although Ryan Reynolds plays Wade in the movie, the stunt work is done by an incredible martial artist Scott Adkins, who can do lots of the stunts without wires. He’s just that talented. The Island, actually Three Mile Island, was a real nuclear facility when I was a teen. It had a meltdown in 1979, made big news. Now we know what really happened.

OMG you two. I just started the vid and your giggles make me giggle!! Nerds. you're so great!
In the comics, Weapon X was the 10th attempt to replicate the super soldier serum that made Cap.
mrs octobers "bruh" when he asked if deadpool had swordss😂 love the reactions!!
The retakes in the beginning are too funny! Enjoying the channel. Edit: I liked Gambit in the X-Men Cartoon.
This is where the plot and the timelines start to get a lot of holes in them. For instance, they never talk about Wolverine and Sabertooth being brothers in the original X-Men film. Granted they tried to fix that by making Logan lose his memories. But Sabertooth did not.
@10:55 both her and the guy who play Gambit are in a movie called John Carter. I highly recommend that movie. It's a sci-fi/action/romance movie and it's cool af.
Make sure you watch the 1st Deadpool movie before you watch "Logan" Then watch the 2nd Deadpool movie immediatealy following "Logan" and if you want a weird side quest, watch "Green Lantern" before you watch the 2nd Deadpool movie as well (Yes it is a DC movie but you'll understand after Deadpool 2)
Is baby Logan Troy Sivan?!!! I remember seeing a clip from an interview saying he’d been in an Xmen
Movie, but didn’t remember which one.
BUT
I love this movie a lot, bunch of good moments, THAT intro sequence with them two fighting in different wars and stuff? Epic.
"You're redemption arc is outta here. Screw you." I agree!
Man, Ryan Reynolds is buff in this!
Saying Wolverine is more American than Cap is crazy lmao hes Canadian
Now that you watch this i can tell you that Sabertooth from Xman 1 is Wolverine half-brother. But both live so long at some point in their life they lost their memories. Logan from an adamantium bullet
The events of this film is before logan was found by charles and the xmen
And just to clarify the guy who is Wolverine's brother in this movie is supposed to be sabertooth
4:25 Finally. Someone else recognizes him as Cotton Weary 😂
I love your reactions ❤
On the x, men animated TV series that aired in the 90s, Gambit was already part of the x men. I loved watching that series.
Can't wait until you finally reach the Deadpool films.
love yalls content man
IN 2001, They published a 6- issue series Wolverine: The Origin.
Logan's brother was Sabertooth, from the first X-Men movie. It's him.
Since you mentioned the TV show LOST, people felt that the actor who played Sawyer in Lost would be perfect to play Remy LeBeau in a Gambit movie.
in the comics, Captain America and Wolverine have some old war stories togethe since they are both over 100 years old and were war vets
Still, Ryan Reynolds was great in the role and it opened the door to him playing the more comic-y version later on, and I guess despite the many holes all the X-Men and Deadpool films are technically in the same canon.
hellyea, this one is my favorite one, along first class
If you guys didn't know, Victor is Sabretooth from the first X Men movie, just a different actor
Hello Mr. and Mrs. October.
Hope you are well.
Excited about this reaction 🙂.
Mrs October you’re allowed to not like films it’s the honesty that people like. You two are not offending anyone.
It’s an older movie of course it’s corny (one of the reasons I still love it🤣)
You’re completely ok to not like something in 2024. Y’all are awesome don’t let the people get to you
I literally luv this channel much luv Octobers
Such a fun film, one of the tops for me
The into had me dying laughing lol felt like a blooper 😂 So genuis! Despite all the flack this movie gets I don't think it's perfect at all it has some flaws, but it's honestly a very fun and good xmen movie imo. Great reaction y'all ❤ So ready for Deadpool 3 this summer too. Both deadpool and wolverine will be in this one. It's like it came full circle and this movie predicted our future lol. It's gonna be insane
Really good movie ❤
Really fun reactions!
Mrs. October Wolverine and Deadpool are Canadian lol
I can't wait Deadpool 3
The revolver was a Ruger Super Red Hawk with custom grips chambered in 44 magnum
Sabretooth is not Wolverine's brother, they proved that years ago in the comics. That's just in this movie.
You two are going to love Dead Pool.
Can’t wait for y’all to get to “Logan” (2017) an absolute peak in comic book cinema
His birth name is James Logan Howlett. He usually goes by Logan unless is a specific person that knows that much about him. That ik theres two Sabretooth and Mystique.
You missed Evan Peters/Quicksilver coming out of the cells
In my opinion, to this day; the death of that elderly farm couple is the most upsetting, unfair death in any superhero movie. They were legit the nicest couple. Gave Logan a bed, a meal and some old clothes. Then killed while giving him breakfast 😢
Broooooooo thats NOT DEADPOOL. Thats a monstrocity from the Movie studios. That is why years later Ryan Renolds pushed for a reboot/remake of the character, to redeem himself.
I can’t wait for y’all to see the Deadpool movie so y’all can see how they served justice to this abomination of Deadpool 😂
Deadpool 3
The best x-men movie, imo. Logan and Victor duo is crazy, hope he returns some day
Deadpool 3 spoilers:
(instead they gave us the one from the first movie)
It messes me when ur not wearing a hat 😂
I was 25 years old in 2009.
Can’t wait to see you guys watching more spin-offs.
Also, cyclops powers arent hot lasers. They got that wrong too. Scott's powers are kinetic. Like a powerfull punch, or punches.
Channing Tatum was supposed to play Gambit in a solo movie.
I hope you two watch the other Wolverine movies and watch the other four X-Men movies X-Men days of future past is one of my favorites
Can’t believe y’all don’t know who Ryan Reynolds is. You got to check out more of his movies he is very funny as you will see in Deadpool.
Oh good you reacted to this one too. I think its not added to the xmen Playlist.
Kayla's diamond encrusted sister is Emma Frost. You will see her again in the next movie.
Germany had a mutant in WWII, Eric Lencher aka Magneto. ✌️
The old couple has the same names as Guardian and Vindicator of Alpha Flight. That's Canada's version of the Avengers.
His brother is Sabertooth from X1. He looked different because he couldn’t take the treatments Logan got and he became more animal like
