Ahahaha Hulk will literally rip Iron-man apart, sadly Mcu has nerfed the Hulk so much that some people might think this is a debate when it shouldn't.. Hulk is in a league of his own. Hulk is what you call a god tier level character.. the strongest one there is. That aside i loved you guy's reaction,This Hulk still remains the best.
It’s a bit of a spoiler to answer this because you will see it in a future movie. Also in another MCU movie you will learn what Tony thinks the answer is. Finally I think the nerfing is temporary as all the characters grow and change. Plus there are multiple fights where characters lose an encounter because they are caught off guard or otherwise distracted, not because they lack the strength to win. That isn’t the same as being nerf’d in total. Hulk in particular suffered from some rights limitations that only recently got cleared up (before Marvel made its own movies, they licensed their characters to other studios). Some big dangling rights problems have finally been resolved so upcoming Marvel projects will be more free to explore characters like Hulk.
The old man is Stan Lee. He was the editor/writer for Marvel through out the 60-70s. He co-created many of these MCU characters in the comics - Hulk, Iron Man, Spider man , Thor - etc
Fun Fact: This film is the spiritual sequel to the 2003 Hulk film. That's why Banner starts off in South America. Banner ended the 2003 film in a South American jungle.
"Betty" is one of several nicknames that people named Elizabeth commonly use. It's not a disguise, just a shortened version of her name, like Beth, Betsy, Liz, or Libby. Four syllables is a bit much for everyday, that's all.
@@ghstdnsr yo, if you wanna include "Jack K" go ahead. My point, dumbass, is that Stan is in fact the man who is the real undisputed face of Marvel! Lil boy!
The Hulk is very unconventional superhero. He was inspired off or Frankenstein and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. He’s supposed to be a misunderstood monster. Also its important to understand that Bruce Banner and The Hulk are different personalities that happen to share the same body, like someone with DID(Dissociative Identity Disorder)
@@TheOctobersReact In the comics Bruce definitely suffers from that disorder. At one time there were actual multiple Hulk personalities each with a different look, disposition and physical look. But with the help of Dr. Leonard Samson ( who is Betty’s boyfriend in this movie) he was able to strike a balance between them…but it didn’t last.
The Hulk/Bruce Bannrr is an INTP-T. One of the 16 MBTI personality types. INTP-T here. Captain America is an ISFJ. Ironman is an ENTJ. Do a little research.
@@medieval4203 If your comment is towards me personally I don’t see what your getting at by referring to personality type. Are you trying to say that the dynamic between Hulk and Bruce Banner just overall falls into that specific personality type instead of DID. Because Bruce Banner has been officially diagnosed with DID( Dissoactive Identity Disorder) and The Hulk is a split personality from Bruce Banner. What do I need to do research on
While the Hulk is well known for being an enormous green monster with "breathtaking anger management issues", in actuality he's just trying to defend himself against Ross's forces.
That old man is Stan Lee, and you can basically credit him with the creation of Marvel Comics, which is what the movies are based off of so he’s the Godfather of it all without him there would be no marvel and make sure you watch the credits because there’s usually a scene at the beginning, middle or end of the credits that references the next movie and thats another reason why release order is the best way to watch a Marvel, because without it, the end credit/post credit scene would be all messed up and you’d be confused
Bruce Banner had to watch his abusive father beat and eventually kill his mother as a child, and he suppressed all that anger into adulthood. When he got hit with the gamma blast and the incomplete super soldier serum, it split that suppressed rage into a separate personality complete with physical changes: The Hulk. That's why he's so childlike in his demeanor, this personality never really grew up. Hulk also gets stronger the angrier he gets. Abomination is about twice as strong as baseline Hulk, but the longer the fight goes on and the more rageful Hulk gets, he eventually is able to overpower Abomination and defeat him. It's theorized that there is no upper limit to his strength as it depends on his rage. "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" is the line from the 70's TV show, and the big security guard Bruce bribes with pizza is Lou Ferrigno, the man who played the Hulk in that show :D
@@TheOctobersReact Technically Hercules is stronger in terms of metaphysical threats, because unlike Hulk, Herc is based in reality thus making him automatically stronger than any completely fictional character (this is canon to the Marvel Universe)
Best thing I recommend going into the MCU is dont pay attention to the negative feedback. Go in with with low expectations and just see how much you enjoy the ride. I love the MCU and I've learned to not have a huge expectations
100%... lately movies get bombed at the box office and kill on streaming apps when they come, because people love to hate on something when it's in the spotlight, but give it two thumbs up from their couch... just go in no expectations and you will more often than not be pleasantly surprised... also don't watch trailers... they tell way too much of the overall plot these days (imo)
@@ffffeeeeerrrrrrr33 so often i feel like they give information in the trailer that would be genuinely a good reveal if you didn't know it was coming because of the trailer... if i watch trailers i usually shut if off after about 30 seconds to a minute, that little bit tells me what i need to know for the most part
yes we are trying to go in blind as possible but that takes away from our awareness of the topic bc i want to research more and figure out some stuff i didn’t get to put together while recording but the spoilers even sometimes when tagging the video are everywhere so if we are naive we are trying to avoid ruining it, we are sorry!
He is a Superhero, they come in all shapes and size. Not every hero don't look the same. This hero is the type that is very powerful but misunderstood because he's destructive and looks like a monster. And Bruce and hulk are different beings in one body
Yep. I mean, hulk even told the army to leave him alone. They're the ones that didn't listen. When abomination still wanted to fight, hulk literally rolled his eyes before getting ready again
As a general rule: don't worry about not knowing about super heroes at all, it is Marvel's job to bring you along and give you the info you need. You don't need to go looking for it. That said, this was the first time they skipped the origin story, figuring that enough people had seen the older movie or the 1970s show (or just read the comics) to know what was going on already. The next times they do it I think it works a lot better. I don't think it was a great choice this time though... still, it isn't overly complex so you get the gist. You were spot on that the old man who drank the guarana soda was in the last movie as well, Tony called him Hugh Hefner in that one. He is Stan Lee who was one of the creators of Marvel and came up with many of the characters (there is all sorts of controversy there with who did what and how much he or Jack Kirby did). Putting him with a small cameo is something that has been done with a TON of marvel movies even before the MCU. He shows up in X-Men movies and Spider-Man movies, for example. So... something to know about why there are Marvel Movies and the MCU and why they are different. Marvel needed to make money back in the day and so started licensing off the rights to their most popular characters for movies. Sony bought the rights to spider-man, 20th Century Fox bought the rights to the X-Men. Others owned the Hulk for a while, but at this point Marvel owned the film rights to the Hulk again... but they didn't own the distribution rights (it gets complicated), so you won't see other Hulk movies after this one because they want all the distribution profit as well and they can still use him in movies not called Hulk. So, Marvel decided to start their own movie studio and make movies but they had sold off all their A-List heroes to other studios. They looked at what they had as the B-Team and the Avengers were still there. So that is where they started. Iron Man was the perfect intro as it is just tech, not super powers... they sort of ease you into that. In this movies there are powers, but they are from science. Then another iron man, and then they start pulling stuff from mythology. I think it was a good call on the order as they were hinting about a team up all the way through. I think you are spot on about Hulk not being the 'good guy.' He isn't good or bad really... more like a force of nature when unleashed. I think Banner is a good guy, but Hulk just is anger embodied. In this case the military just the worse people. At least until the abomination comes out. You are correct that this is kind of the floor of what you can expect from MCU movies. If you enjoyed this one as you said, then you are going to really like the MCU. They really more are character movies than just action movies. After this humor will start to become more and more of the central theme of what makes Marvel... Marvel. More like in Iron Man though not just a comedy (though there are some). This movie does take place chronologically after the first Iron Man. The end credit thing with Tony is actually right after the next movie, Iron Man 2. This movie, Iron Man 2, and Thor (the one after) all take place in the same week. OK... last edit. After this there are some cast changes. Rhodey from Iron Man will have his actor changed from Terrance Howard to Don Cheadle. It is the same character though, to the people in universe they don't see a change at all. Same with the next time we see Bruce Banner, he will no longer be Edward Norton and will instead be Mark Ruffalo. It takes a little bit of getting used to for each as I don't think the original of either did a bad job at all, but I do end up liking the current versions of both better. Just a heads up though. (Other casting changes are rare, but more in the background and it is likely most people don't even notice). I suppose there is another big one coming that is noticeable in that the actor who played General Ross in this has passed away and is supposed to be replaced by Harrison Ford in future movies... hasn't happened yet though, so we'll see.
TO tearing up at Stan Lee's animated cameo in Into Spiderverse FROM "they had that old guy in iron man too right?" - is why I'm hella pumped to get through these films with y'all. (You watch and intuit these movies in very fun ways!)
The super soldier serum is the same to captain America. If you seen it, peggy carter said it would probably never duplicate it. That's why they put the serum up after ww2. Blonsky is hulks nemisis name abomination.. He's bigger and little stronger than hulk, but hulks anger gets the best of him. The scientists mr. Blue is also hulks nemisis named the leader. He had gamma infect his brain. He has high intelligence, and create monsters with gamma to kill hulk.
With this film you have just entered what is known in Fandom as 'Fury's Big Week.' Iron Man takes place roughly in the latter-half of 2009 (even though the film came out in 2008). Both Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk take place at roughly the same time in 2010, about 6 months after the events of Iron Man. (If you keep an eye on the background in certain parts of Iron Man 2, you will catch a news broadcast about the rampage at Culver University that happened in The Incredible Hulk.) The events of Thor also take place within that same week. I don't want to say much more as it may be considered spoiler-ish, but you will see how it all fits together as the movies progress.
Hulk: Incredible Strength, Super Durability, Healing Factor(that Rivals Wolverine), Incredible Physiology able to have increased stamina, and jump vast distances( which explains why he woke up in the rainforest of Guatemala yet he was in Brazil when he first transformed into the Hulk
THE Hulk was an experiment in Marvel to try to recreate the Super Soldier program, " Captain America" that went wrong. Even Stark's Iron Man's suit was a mechanical version of the Super Soldier program inspired by Captain America in Marvel.
@@TheOctobersReact Yes, and part or the reason Tony doesn't like Cap is because his father used to uphold him as a standard for Tony and tell him how perfect Cap was, and drove Tony mad while growing up.
The reason why Edward Norton was recasted because he wanted to take Hulk character seriously (like the 70s-80s TV series), but there was a new direction for Marvel they wanted their movies to be lighthearted and comedic to appeal to the new generations that when the fallout happened and he left, sadly Hulk nodays is nothing but a giant green clown.
The Old Guy in this and Iron Man is Stan Lee, one of the integral Comic Book artists that made Marvel. .. and he cameo's _every_ Marvel movie all the way up to his passing, God give him Pease.
I think this is a solid movie. As is with superhero movies and the comic books that work as source materials, there is a lot of context that sadly has to be left out. The tragic backstory for Bruce Banner, the cast of characters that don't make an appearance, an extensive rogues gallery, etc. Moving forward, the Hulk won't have his own solo movie, and instead be part of a cast of characters in other movies. It's something I'm sad about because The Hulk is one of my all time favorite characters from the comics, and his mythology fascinates me.
I'm not sure why people disregard this movie among the other Marvel films. It's great. The only thing I can think of is because the main actor was recast after this movie, and I guess people struggle with that for the rest of the series, but that doesn't make this movie any less.
23:17 In the comics Betty’s psychiatrist boyfriend Leonard Samson is also a superhero. He gets exposed to gamma rays and becomes a superpowered version of himself with just green hair. Unlike the Hulk in this form he maintains the same personality. For a time he actually functions as the Hulk’s shrink. His superhero name is Doc Samson.
Something to realize about marvel and DC is these these characters have been around for 70 or 80 years. Characters die, characters come back, different authors write different story lines. Trying to follow a character timeline, or storyline is not possible. They all have their core powers, but the rest is in the wind.
I liked Incredible Hulk when I first saw it. It was a good movie. To answer a couple of questions you had: - Bruce's girlfriend has the nickname "Betty" because that's short for Elizabeth (Beth = Betty) - some girls called Elizabeth are sometimes called Lizzy, Liz or Beth, Betty depending what they like - The old guy who drank the green drink at the start is Stan Lee - he's one of the main founding members of Marvel comics from waaay back in the 50's or 60's, whenever it started. You will see him make a cameo in EVERY MCU movie you watch now. He will pop up everywhere, even in the Deadpool movie.
Rampage is the game u mentioned ,monsters destroying buildings. Doc samson ty burrell is a gamma powered character , Dr samuel sterns is The leader -Villian , guy with pizza in hand in college nyu computer lab is amadeus cho Martin starr actor is also in spiderman homecoming 2017 . Stan Lee was the guy who drank the soda / creator of marvel
5:50-6:00 "That "old man" is Stan Lee, creator of many of the characters of Marvel Comics. You will also find him at the charity fundraiser in Iron Man addressed as "Heff" [Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy Magazine] as well as you will see cameos of him in future films. It quickly became a game for viewers "Spotting Stan" in Marvel movies, kind of a "Where's Waldo" movie edition. 7:30-7:32 "It's PG-13 please don't" regarding getting rid of the dog. Remember they are supposed to tranquilize the target and bring him back, so "getting rid of the dog" would be "sedate the dog" In Hulk's defense, they attacked him. in South America. 15:04 Lou Ferrigno played The Hulk in the 1970s TV series, substituting in when Bill Bixby's character Dr. David Banner turned into the Hulk. Elizabeth - Nicknames common for Elizabeth are "Beth" "Ellie" "Lizzy" "Liz" and even "Betty" 31:10 At this stage, I would go Hulk. Remember, Tony has only been Iron Man for a short time. So he's only had about a year since his conflict with Obidiah.
The Super Soldier program is a reference to Captain America... And if you question why Blonski looks more evil after taking the serum, it's explained by the scientists who created the serum in Captain America:The First Avenger.
@@TheOctobersReact The Gamma Equipment intro of this film is very reminiscent of 1977 or 1978 - 1982 original live action The Incredible Hulk Tv Series only difference Jack McGee the news reporter version of General Thunderbolt Ross in the live action Incredible Hulk Tv Series is completely clueless/unaware that his incarnation of The Incredible Hulk is his incarnation of Dr. Banner (David) plus poor poor Dr. Banner will have 2 try & stay facially hidden from him 4 as long/much as possible after what happens 2 a Dr. Elaina Marks (The Betty Ross of the Original Live Action Incredible Hulk Tv Series) as well as what he (Jack McGee) thinks happened 2 his incarnation of poor poor Dr. Banner which he (Dr. David Bruce Banner) won't be able 2 do by himself every single time + Jack McGee came mighty close a # of times of seeing his face after what happened 2 Dr. Elaina Marks especially with there later on being a 10 Thousand US Dollar bounty/reward on his (Dr. David Bruce Banner's/The Hulk's) head 4 info that leads 2 his (Dr. David Bruce Banner's/The Hulk's) apprehension/capture & whoever gives Jack McGee that info will only get the 10 thousand US Dollar reward of a bounty if Dr. Banner's/The Hulk's apprehended/captured which is a big/huge as if which the Jack McGee in the Original Live Action Incredible Hulk Tv Series hasn't had any luck at especially even with some help!
Here is what I always recommend to reactors or anyone watching this film: Just remember the supporting characters -- without spoilers -- they WILL be back in later films, but not for a LONG while. The general won't be seen again for the first time until after the first two Avengers films, and the other start trickling in after that. So make a note of that and file it away so you don't forget them. Also, the government super soldier stuff... again this isn't a spoiler but they are supposed to be winks at Captain America, who's movie wasn't made yet but they were already planning it. If you're a comic fan you get it instantly but if you're not it can go over your head. Keep going, lots of good stuff ahead it only gets better from here.
haha yeah i realize he announced the hulk smash i actually didn’t know he had other moves bc i didn’t do much research to avoid spoilers bc i got a spoiler just looking up basic info
The intro sequence is a reference/homage to the 70s Incredible Hulk tv series starring the late Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno(who played the security guard Bruce gave the pizza to in this movie). That old man is none other than Stan Lee, the man who created Spiderman, the Xmen, Hulk, Captain America, and just about every other Marvel character. He's basically the father of Marvel Comics, he's a legend. He makes a cameo in every movie up Captain Marvel. RIP Stan Lee, thank you for loving superheroes so much.
(At 19:39) You think a 9-ft green bodybuilder in torn trousers, with thick muscles, and pumped with pure rage, who wants to be left *the hell alone…* is dangerous?
Fun Fact: Betty in the comics, eventually becomes Red-She Hulk in the comics. And we all know, that her dads possibly a hypocrite because he eventually becomes Red-Hulk. Also, Dr. Sterns is another Hulk villain, Called The Leader.
Dr. Sterns becomes The Leader a Gamma Irradiated Super Mutant and Arch Villain of the Hulk. He's as Intelligent as Hulk is Strong. In the MCU, The Leader occurs because Banners Blood dripped into Dr. Sterns head wound. I won't mention anything else, due to spoilers.
"Who wins Hulk vs Iron Man?"... Without giving any spoilers, the MCU has a few of these little "clashes" throughout the series of movies. It's awesome every time. :)
Oh and the army led by General Ross is a swrorn energy to The hulk/Bruce. He hate him because he's a threat and has a love interest in his daughter Betty who is always caring for Bruce which by the way Betty can calm the hulk down
The joke in Iron Man I was that Stan was wearing a smoking jacket and Tony calls him “Hef” - as in Hugh Hefner, creator of Playboy Magazine, Playboy Mansion etc Also that was Lou Ferrigno playing the security guard. He played the Hulk scenes in the Incredible Hulk TV show, with Bill Bixby playing David Banner. Yes, not Bruce Banner, even though they are the same character.
You are absolutely right the old man was in the last movie. In the Iron Man movie, he is playing the part of Hugh Hefner . In the hole, he is the old man who gets gamma, radiation poisoning from drinking soda. Now something comic book fans would know that regular people wouldn’t this man is Stan Lee he is the creator of most early marvel superheroes. Like the hulk, Iron Man Spider-Man, fantastic four the X-Men and many others. So it’s nice to see the cameo nod to the fans. The security guard who gets the free pizza also played the Hulk in the TV series. Another nice fan cameo.
Think of watching each movie like buying individual tools to put in your toolbox. One day you buy a wrench, another day a screwdriver, then a tape measure,. Finally, you get your first power tool like a drill or saw. Over time each tool becomes a more valuable part of the collection, although not as exciting when you buy one at a time. Then you get to a point where you have a special project to build and you have just about all the tools you need and it feels good not to have to ask someone to borrow this or that because you already have it. One or two movies a week and you'll be feenin" for the next.
The Hulk / Bruce Bannrr is an INTP-T. One of the 16 personalities in this world. Ironman is an ENTJ, and Captain America is an ISFJ. Black Widow is an ISTP. Look up the 16 MBTI personalities. Every movie, TV show, is telling the personality story. There's only 16 personalities in the world and throughout time.
Obviously, Bruce/Hulk is the main protagonist of the movie, meaning he's the hero. In the original comics, Bruce Banner was a scientist and physician studying Gamma radiation. He was hired by the military government for a secret project based on Gamma radiation (which is re-creating super soldiers like Captain America by using the said Gamma energy). However, an accident occurred and exposure to the radiation manifested Bruce's inner temper into a new entity, which is the Hulk. You can say that Bruce and Hulk are two personalities in the same body and are sort of like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The Hulk is not purely evil, he is just Bruce's anger and rage in physical form. Both Hulk and Bruce just wanted to be left alone so that wouldn't hurt any innocent civilians. Fearing their secrets will be exposed to the public, the military seeks to capture the Hulk and Banner so that they can use him as a weapon. They even convinced the public that the Hulk was an enemy to gain more support in defeating the misunderstood brute. Bruce knows how dangerous and uncontrollable this power is and that he has to go on the run while finding a cure so don't that the Hulk won't eventually hurt any innocents or that no one can use the Hulk's power for evil. Unfortunately, constant conflict with the army made it difficult as the Hulk had to fight them off to get away. The army also took advantage of the chaos in their favor using it to solidify the public's view that Hulk is a monster.
This movie is the real Hulk. Edward Norton Hulk is the angry uncontrollable one , the orgin story. Mark Ruffalos Hulk is good but it is dumbed down. this is by far my favorite Hulk movie.
-That old guy that was in the last movie is Stan Lee (R.I.P). He was the head of Marvel and created a lot of these characters you're watching plus a bunch more. From this point on, since you know who he is now, is to spot him going forward like "Where's Waldo" books...... -Hulk is more of an anti-hero than anything else. -One of the problems with this movie was at the time, Marvel Studios didn't have the film rights. They sold it, like other popular franchises, like Spiderman and his universe and X-Men and their universe to other film companies and have final say on the "making" of the products. Universal had this and Namor, Sony had Spiderman and still does. FOX had the X-men. Unfortunately SONY and FOX did terrible jobs on the movies and pretty much just rehashed the same stories to not lose the rights to the characters. They didn't care about the content. FOX was the worst. SONY got better after working with Marvel, but Spiderman needs to come back home like the rest even though they have done a bit better with their movies. Universals rights have reverted back to Marvel/Disney as well as Marvel/Disney bought most of FOX.... That's the reason why the movie is just flat. Not the same creatives working on it that you saw in Ironman and going forward.... Plus, this movie wasn't "technically" part of the MCU to start with, it was kind of shoe horned in to the universe as an after thought. Since Marvel footed the bill, they got access to the filming rights in the beginning.
Really exciting you got to watch it visually this is my favorite looking Incredible Hulk they changed the actor and the look of him you will see the acting is good I just wish they'd kept the look of the Hulk really looking forward to the next one for whatever movie you guys watch next keep growing and striving much support onto the next one👍💪
Hmm, most cops us army & military people, attempt to fight a superhuman villain or supervillain ends being thrown like a human missile or killed offscreen, and yep, don't ever pissed them off or you will die offscreen "Hands up where i can see them." They shoot at The Homelander, and he gets pissed and angrier, then killed the vought soldiers offscreen and flung the third soldier at the helicopter and killing the vought soldiers in the lab by vaporized them with heat vision and rip the soldier throat blood gushing on the homelander face and he growling like a monster and kills them offscreen then victoria neuman speaks: how he escape custody and stan edgar: probably push him over the edge Well, you shouldn't have tested their patience or limits because they will let loose and turn you into ground beef burger or ragdoll you
Stan Lee (creator of many and all of these stories in Marvel Comics) is a legend. through this journey of the MCU and many Marvel films outside it, you'll see his cameo appearance playing different roles and fun outtakes. Here he was the one that drank from the soda bottle.
OK…back to the beginning. Watch Captain America…..he was made a “Super Soldier” by the use of a serum developed by Tony Starks (Ironman) father and a German scientist during WWII. In the movie “Captain America “, the last of the super soldier serum was lost which was why the government was using DR Banner to try to rediscover the serum. As someone else mentioned, watch the movies in order of the release date as each movie builds on the previous one and has trailers leading into the next movie. Cheers
The super soldier serum that they injected in Blonsky was nowhere near as perfect as the original that made Captain America. That and Gamma radiation combined turned him into one of Hulk's enemies, Abomination.
This one really isn't bad, but it is weaker. On the one hand, it wasn't by the Disney Marvel creative team, and even then, it was a lot earlier in the whole MCU run. Ed Norton, here, doesn't return as The Hulk, but I really do feel like Mark Ruffalo makes a better Banner/Hulk.
Banner hasn't learned how to fully control it yet. These movies keep leveling up. You'll have your favorites and not so favorites . But these movies are planned to build on one another. They're not just slip-slopped together. I enjoy your honest reactions.
That Old man is Stan Lee, he created a lot of the Marvel Comics these movies are based on, not all of them but he had a hand in most. They put him to Cameo in all the movies, it's a fun Easter Egg to catch him in all the movies. At least until he died so he's not in the most recent movies. but all these older one's he's in.
@@TheOctobersReact yes also she did call Lou Ferrigno cameo, from the original Incredible Hulk TV show in the 70s They didn't have CG so they had two actors Bill Bixby as Bruce Banner and Lou Ferrigno a body builder as the Hulk in green make up.

Bruce love interest is the General daughter Betty Ross
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in this movie, but Marvel wanted Edward Norton because he was more famous at the time.
Good reaction. I think the reason why you couldn't put your finger on what you didn't like about the film, speaks more to your preconceived thoughts about the ratings you have seen and heard. In reality you said you liked the film multiple times and called it great. There is a parrallel moment within Hulk's fight with the Abomination and his fight with Thanos that is done very well in this movie and totally botched in Infinity War. For any Hulk fan this movie is the best version of him portrayed on film.

Stan lee created the superheroes
Stan Lee co-created many of the Marvel characters in the 60s. Later, he served as the editor for other Marvel writers.

The Hulk is very unconventional superhero. He was inspired off or Frankenstein and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. He’s supposed to be a misunderstood monster.
Also its important to understand that Bruce Banner and The Hulk are different personalities that happen to share the same body, like someone with DID(Dissociative Identity Disorder)
wow. crazy. thanks for breaking that down and for watching !

What do I need to do research on
Stan lees cameos are literally in every movie don’t miss them! Great reaction, excited to see your reaction to the connectivity in all these films.
The old man that drinks the tainted beverage is Stan "The Man" Lee, the creator of Marvel. He makes cameos throughout the MCU. ✌️
"Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" is the line from the 70's TV show, and the big security guard Bruce bribes with pizza is Lou Ferrigno, the man who played the Hulk in that show :D
so hulk is the strongest of all of them?
@@TheOctobersReact Technically Hercules is stronger in terms of metaphysical threats, because unlike Hulk, Herc is based in reality thus making him automatically stronger than any completely fictional character (this is canon to the Marvel Universe)

Best thing I recommend going into the MCU is dont pay attention to the negative feedback. Go in with with low expectations and just see how much you enjoy the ride. I love the MCU and I've learned to not have a huge expectations
Or positive , they should go in blind
100%... lately movies get bombed at the box office and kill on streaming apps when they come, because people love to hate on something when it's in the spotlight, but give it two thumbs up from their couch... just go in no expectations and you will more often than not be pleasantly surprised... also don't watch trailers... they tell way too much of the overall plot these days (imo)
@EarnestEgregore I watch trailers but I go in with low low expectations
06:10 That "Old Man" is Stan Lee the creator of the comics. He always has a small bit part in the movies
i know looking back at this i’m mad at us for not knowing ! thanks for watching 😊
He is a Superhero, they come in all shapes and size. Not every hero don't look the same. This hero is the type that is very powerful but misunderstood because he's destructive and looks like a monster. And Bruce and hulk are different beings in one body
Agree they have to widen their idea of what they think a super hero is. Good and bad is not always black and white.
The hulk during the factory fight isn't being bad or good. He's just defending himself

It's great. The only thing I can think of is because the main actor was recast after this movie, and I guess people struggle with that for the rest of the series, but that doesn't make this movie any less.
you’re prob right bc we liked it over here !
23:17 In the comics Betty’s psychiatrist boyfriend Leonard Samson is also a superhero. He gets exposed to gamma rays and becomes a superpowered version of himself with just green hair. Unlike the Hulk in this form he maintains the same personality.

Something to realize about marvel and DC is these these characters have been around for 70 or 80 years. Characters die, characters come back, different authors write different story lines. Trying to follow a character timeline, or storyline is not possible. They all have their core powers, but the rest is in the wind.
The guy that drank that soda with banners blood and got sick is Stan Lee. One of the founders of marvel comics. He does a cameo in every movie
Pay attention that Stark said the super solider program was put on ice for a reason. You gotta pay attention to the little things.
That old man you're referring to is none other than the creator/co-creator/writer of many of the characters in marvel comics. Stan Lee.
I liked Incredible Hulk when I first saw it. It was a good movie.
To answer a couple of questions you had:
- Bruce's girlfriend has the nickname "Betty" because that's short for Elizabeth (Beth = Betty) - some girls called Elizabeth are sometimes called Lizzy, Liz or Beth, Betty depending what they like
- The old guy who drank the green drink at the start is Stan Lee - he's one of the main founding members of Marvel comics from waaay back in the 50's or 60's, whenever it started. You will see him make a cameo in EVERY MCU movie you watch now.
He will pop up everywhere, even in the Deadpool movie.
Betty is a common short form for Elizabeth.

One or two movies a week and you'll be feenin" for the next.
so are you saying that Betty and her dad got the clap from the Hulk?
The army also took advantage of the chaos in their favor using it to solidify the public's view that Hulk is a monster.
the more you know about hulk the better movie is
2:44 Stark Industries was the first thing that caught my attention the first time I watched the movie.
Don't know if someone mentioned this yet, but Mr. Blue was also in the movie "oh brother, where art thou" as one of the main characters.

Banner hasn't learned how to fully control it yet. These movies keep leveling up. You'll have your favorites and not so favorites . But these movies are planned to build on one another. They're not just slip-slopped together. I enjoy your honest reactions.
Thanks, we have heard that & thanks for watching!
@@TheOctobersReact old man you've seen a few times is Stan Lee Co creator and creator of a lot of the characters the movies are based on
32:00. The Hulk is more powerful then all the Avengers combined, even Thor
20:55 It threw a car engine like it was a baseball.
My favorite MCU film.
That Old man is Stan Lee, he created a lot of the Marvel Comics these movies are based on, not all of them but he had a hand in most. They put him to Cameo in all the movies, it's a fun Easter Egg to catch him in all the movies. At least until he died so he's not in the most recent movies. but all these older one's he's in.
i know he’s cool to look for even tho Hulk threw me off naming a character stan 😑
The 2005 or I think it was 2003 Hulk was Comic book Hulk. Right down to how he gets bigger and stronger the more angry he gets
Betty is a nickname for Elizabeth
It's THE best Hulk EVER in my opinion.
That is Lou Ferigno
The should have listened in the factory he said leave me alone in the shadows
Mr. Blue, Tim Blake Nelson is one of the greatest actors of our time. Hes been in many wonderful films.
He’s returning in Captain America 4.

2:46 This is the only MCU Phase One movie without Nick Fury (however he’s mentioned by name in the opening scene).
Banner has always been a target by the U S government lead by General Ross, he despises Banner/Hulk because 1, he quite literally the dangerous man alive who can transform into one of the most physical, strongest being in the marvel universe, and 2.
