I love it! It sounds so funny to our ears, but that is really how many of us got our last names. Parentage (names like Johnson, son of John) Wilson, Thomson etc,. Or profession (my last name is Smith because ancestors were workers of metals) other names like Miller, Cooper and Farmer. Then there are place names like Rockford, Ashton, Winston or something as simple as Hill. There are a few other categories and that is just in the English language.
Loki is a master of illusion as well as some other magical abilities. Frigga, Thor's mother was raised by witches and has significant power. She taught Loki quite a bit.
Holy crap I'm loving this MCU daily content drops. Now THAT's how you run a reaction channel. Whoever is doing the editing deserves a lot of props. Thank you for all your hard work!
For decades in Marvel Comics, Donald Blake was famously known as the human alter ego of Thor. Operating as a doctor on Earth alongside his nurse and Thor's eventual love interest Jane Foster (who eventually becomes worthy of Thor's hammer Mjolnir), the disabled Blake was chosen by Odin to be the mortal host for Thor.
The suit of armor Thor fought in New Mexico was The Destroyer. It is a suit of armor encganted by Odin and the other Skyfathers to defend against the fourth host of Celestials.(That's a story for another day). In the comics, it was normally set against Thor to kill him, usually by Loki. No one actually wars the armor but activates it using their life-force.
"I did this for you. For everyone." You're a long way off from understanding the power that line will carry down the line, but I assure you... you'll know what I mean when you get to it. Loki is a great character all around, and Thor is quite a lot of fun, too. I'm very much looking forward to continuing on this journey with you! Especially getting to Captain America. Steve and all who bear that mantle are my favorite heroes in the MCU, honestly.
Thor's enchanted Uru hammer is named Mjolnir. Pronounced mee-ohl-neer. Odin enchanted the hammer to always return to it's owners hand after being thrown. He also enchanted it so that only those who are worthy can wield it. "Whosoever holds this hammer if he be worthy shall possess the power of Thor". 😅 When Odin banished Thor he stripped him of his powers until he became worthy of them. 😮 In Norse mythology Loki was the trickster, the god of mischief. In some stories he is a Jotun or first giant originally from Jotunheim. Although he gave council in Asgard. In the MCU Loki is the master of illusion. 😮 "Iron Frost Giant Man" is known as the Destroyer Armor. An enchanted animated suit of armor crafted by Odin as a security measure in the absence of Thor to protect the realm. He is the ultimate security guard waiting on his protocols to be activated. In the comics the armor had to be animated with a living Asgardian soul. It is super strong, virtually indestructible and has massive firepower. Enough to flatten everything in it's path. 😮
Awesome stuff! Keep it up. The only movie I would recommend watching in timeline order is Black Widow because you'll have more appreciation for the character and later movies will be more meaningful (minus the post credits scene in Black Widow; don't watch the end credits scene if you watch that movie in timeline order. You can come back to the end credits scene in release order). But otherwise, you're doing it right by watching in release order. And Loki at the end credits scene was using his powers of manipulation which you'll see more about in an upcoming movie.
Hey Sam and Tristan! So on IRON Man 2 I mentioned the over editing with the Quotes and certain scenes and when I see a movie reaction video is under 40 minutes I automatically figure it's chopped up with probably not much to ENJOY your reaction to. But I figure I would at least click on to let you know. Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
A few differences between Thor, the Marvel comic book character and Thor, from Norse mythology. In Norse mythology: 1. Loki is not Thor's adopted brother, he is Odin's blood-brother. He tricked Odin into mixing blood with him so he can enjoy some royal protection and privilege. 2. Thor's hammer doesn't have any "worthiness" enchantment on it. Yes, it's heavy, and you need to be VERY strong to be able to use it effectively as a weapon, but anyone with a good amount of strength could at least lift it. 2a. Likewise, the hammer doesn't fly to Thor when he wants it. It doesn't automatically return to his hand when he throws it. It's just a really powerful hammer. 3. Heimdall doesn't have "all-seeing" powers. He's just the faithful guardian of the rainbow bridge. Odin has the all-seeing powers. 3a. And Heimdall isn't black. This is Norse mythology after all, no one from Scandinavia had ever seen a black person when these stories first came to exist. 4. The "Warriors Three" don't exist. The big guy, Volstagg the Voluminous, the "Jackie Chan" Hogun the Grim, and the "Robin Hood" Fandral the Dashing, were made up for the comics, based on characters from Shakespeare's Henry V. Volstagg=Falstaff. 5. Sif is Thor's wife, and is supposed to be blonde. At some point in the mythology, she has hair literally made of gold. 6. Not all the frost giants (or "jotuns") are evil (though most of them are). Some are wise and form friendships with Odin or other gods. Some have magical powers, like Loki. 6a. Jotunheim is also home to trolls - in Norse mythology, multi-headed, large, but not as big as the frost giants. They don't figure as prominently in the mythology, and are brutish and stupid. 7. There are a number of other Norse gods that aren't mentioned at all in the movies, but some do exist in the comics. Such as Balder. 8. Thor has red hair and a full beard. Balder is the blond one. 9. There is no "Odinsleep". There was a point in the mythology where he meditated under the World Tree to discover the secret of writing and other knowledge, but that only happened once. 10. There are some other aspects of Norse mythology that are mentioned in later movies, but I won't spoil anything here.
I'm still shocked seeing people watching Marvel movies for the first time... like in my head everyone had already seen at least the first movies, I think it's because I've been watching it since I was a kid so in my head it was something that everyone grew up watching...but it's really exciting to watch people discover the MCU,I can't wait to see you react to the next films (by the way, would you consider watching the series too?)
am new to your channel and i already started to watch in order your MCU ride and am enjoying ur reactions + the edit itself thx guys for the reaction i love it :D
SHIELD's mission is to deal with dangerous technology or items of unknown origin. If they could have moved Thor's hammer, they would have taken it for study, like they did with Jane Foster's lab and data. Since it couldn't be moved, they brought in equipment to study it in place. They let Thor go with Dr. Selvig because they still didn't know where the hammer and energy reading were coming from. The idea was to follow them, and see if that led them to accomplices or more information.
I've never seen these reactions put up so fast. Bravo. Please keep the release order, because, frankly, at this pace, you'll be doing live "watch alongs" with the TV shows before you know it.
Yeah Next Captain America - The First Avenger filmed mostly in S Wales as most of the cast and Director stayed in the Hotel where I worked in Security and I met Joe Johnston and I didn't realise who he was lol duh. Second famous person who I chatted to and didn't realise who they were lol and that was Tom Felton (Malfoy) of the Harry Potter films, if you haven't seen them it should be your next series of films...👍
its nice to see new reactors in thi world. of course stay in release order, and please do the same with any of the series as well. alot of the series won't maksense until you're caught up on the MCU.

Thanks for your reactions! 😊😊😊 more please. MCU Phase 1 - Iron Man (2008) - The Incredible Hulk (2008) - Iron Man 2 (2010) - Thor (2011) - Captain America : The First Avenger (2011) - Marvel’s The Avengers (2012) MCU Phase 2 - Iron Man 3 (2013) - Thor : The Dark World (2013) - Captain America : The Winter Soldier (2014) - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) - Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) - Ant Man (2015) MCU Phase 3 - Captain America : Civil War (2016) - Doctor Strange (2016) - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) - Spider Man : Homecoming (2017) - Thor : Ragnarok (2017) - Black Panther (2018) - Avengers : Infinity War (2018) - Ant Man and the Wasp (2018) - Captain Marvel (2019) - Avengers : Endgame (2019) - Spider Man : Far From Home (2019)
One the "love" between Thor and Jane: Honestly. Look at them. It's no wonder Thor would fall for her. And it's equally no wonder that Jane would fall for him. Hell, I fell for both. It's god damn Chris Hemsworth and Natlie Portman.
Hi guys been keeping up since Iron man and I enjoy these with you both. I highly recommend watching agents of shield after the first avengers film it goes deeper into some of the plots from the movies (in some arcs) and gives more depth to the marvel universe. If you do decide to watch the show it would be great just don’t go too far ahead of the movies
That tesseract at you see at the end credits is one of the six infinity stones you learn about in Guardians of galaxy this the infinity saga right now so look out for the stones
I like the daily MCU drops. Earn you my subscription. Keep watching in order trust us the pay off will be sooo worth it. The movies get better and better. Characters you thought were just ok the first time you see them you will start loving more down the road. Captain America First Avenger Next.
It's fortunate that if you had to start anywhere in the MCU out of order that you accidentally started with Guardians of the Galaxy, as that plotline is as far removed from the main plot of the MCU as is possible within Phases 1 and 2. Don't sweat it, just keep in mind that the events of that film take place around the time of the films released the same year.
This is where I consider the MCU Movie start to get good the Iron Man movies were really good as well but I think the weakest phase 1 movie is the Hulk movie
"They've only known each other a couple of days". My wife and I attend two or three Sci-fi conventions a year including SDCC / San Diego Comic - Con ,The actors show up to these events and many hang around throughout the whole weekend. I gave my wife full absolution if she were to meet Chris Hemsworth at one of these events and she somehow found Chris wanted to knock boots with her as much as she'd like to make it with him.
Tony stark isn’t even remotely close to the strongest being in the mcu. Asgard laughs at an arc reactor, cmon , this isn’t really a spoiler at all but if Thor & iron man fought to the death? It would be the end of Tony stark & Thor would be completely fine at most a little sore after the fight. Not gonna drop any spoilers obviously but then there are many individuals who could kill iron man in a 1v1. Given tho stark is kinda like batman, human but insanely smart, skilled, etc. ex machina honestly
I'm shocked anyone would think Iron Man is the strongest. I believe by pure strength, the strongest being would be The Hulk. Thor is up there and he's probably the most powerful out of all of them.
(SPOILERS one of the MCU Series) Honestly, seeing Thor draw a depiction of Ygdrasil after Loki Season 2 feels very weird. If the end of the series (or rather, Season 2) depicts Ygdrasil, as many (if not most) people believe, where does the original Ygdrasil come from? Or is it just similar? Or did "he" know what was going to happen and played a part? Or is all of this just bs, because there is no way they(the writers) could have forseen this, which in turn means they also wouldn't adjust new lore to fit with the old? But maybe they didn't adjust the series to fuel speculation? God damn I hope they did. That'd mean at least part of the MCU is on the right track.
Loki is the best and most lovable villain in mcu ....❤❤❤ Guys watch marvel and soni movies year wise, becose of understanding of story line. Marvel make movies in phases so you watch in order Otherwise all mix up. Before watching avengers movies watch some more past year movies. Old spiderman movies making by soni, reaction in a week a movie. This is connected with marvel spiderman movies.
Don't complicate things for them. Let them just enjoy the Marvel Studios MCU movies through Endgame without the other stuff. They can check out the other stuff later if they want. But that won't really matter until after Endgame. So no need to overwhelm them.
You Should watch all MCU movies in this order, that way you will understand much more. Loki sends the Destroyer to New Mexico to level the town and kill Thor. And how is it so hard to believe a moral woman could fall in love with a God? Or Chris Hemsworth? Captain America will be the next to amaze you. Enjoy
Guys, you guys are doing great and have a good channel here, no need to still apologize for doing Guardians first. The complainers can go f themselves lol
THOR has a belt that helps him lift the hammer from when he was younger, A chariot and 2 goat's which are respawning.... And yes LOKI is the more interesting of characters...
its norse mythology. not north mythology. how can you say you like it when you dont even know the proper name of it? its the first thing you learn about it......
Thor Odinson : Son of Odin
Phil Coulson : Son of Coul 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Right
Really man they are doing good 💯
Amazing tbh. Never seen anyone do it like this. They'll get exponential growth to their channel for sure.
I was so surprised.😭👏👏👏👏❤
It's been amazing so far. I wish more channels released them this quickly.

Fun Fact: This is the first MCU movie without Tony Stark, though he is mentioned.

You just saw the only time Hawkeye is right handed. After this movie he has a left handed bow.
Loving the daily drops. Best reactors so far
