I just got my gh5 and when i record in that 400m quality i look back at the video and it starts skipping , what can i do to solve this problem?
And also when i switch to 150 10 bit then it doesnt skip in the vid
@@MoneyMeris What type of memory card are you using? You shouldn't have any skips. Sounds like you need a higher quality memory card.

What about V-Log sharpness & NR settings? make it both -5 or just leave it to +0?
2 Questions... You said V-Log is made for 10bit... so when you go to 4k 60fps 8bit do you stay in V-log Photo Style? Also What's your settings in V-log as far as Shadow/Highlight and Contrast,Sharpness,NR, Saturation, and Hue? Thanks
Hey Dame, sorry if I didn't properly word it correctly in the video but; V-LOG works in 8-bit and 10-bit. Bit depth & log profiles are separate.
V-LOG is the FLAT/LOG profile option for the GH4/GH5 and I'm assuming the GH5s (Which I haven't used yet). No different than how Canon has the cinestyle or sony has the s-log. V-LOG is just meant to give you the better dynamic range option and flatter image with better DR between the shadows to highlights. This is why using this log is best for color correcting and grading options, IF you know how to properly shoot within this profile. When you shoot in V-Log you want to overexpose by 1-2 stops and bring down in post to be able to gain more detail in the mids and shadows. This is why if you underexpose in V-LOG you will get more grain/artifacts in your shot.
As far as BIT DEPTH. going from 8 to 10 bit is allowing more options in post production for the correction and grading. dope video! what sd cards do you use in order to use the 400mbs option tho?
I put a link for the memory card I use for recording in the 400mbs option. It doesn't need to be that high as far as the gb option I just choose to use the 128gb so I don't have to keep dumping.

why do you shoot your slow mo in 1080p instead of 4k ?

Yes I leave sharpness and noise reduction at 0. I am still testing out whether or not -5 is better than 0 for both sharpness and noise reduction. But so far 0 has worked out better for me than -5.

What are the top of your camera settings on? (The switches on the top of it)
Dial on the left hand side is used for photos which I don't utilize within the GH5 and the dial on the right is set to movie mode with the movie icon next to it.

Is there a way you can change a recorded slow mo vid to a regular vid on gh5 cause when you record in the slow mo it has another time next to that shorter time in the gallery
Are you asking to view it in non slow motion for playback or when you take the clip on into your editing software?
@@JoeMooreProductions take to the clip into editing software. I accidentally recorded a vlog in like 30 sum or 28 ffps. And i was wondering if i could flip the recorded vid i took back to regular speed 24 ffps.
Cause when i go back to the video gallery on my gh5 its in slow motion. I don’t hear me talking or nun.
Soooo, are there no way to get your ISO lower than 400 in video mode?? Can’t get it lower in video mode, but the second I switch to a photo mode I can push it down to 100. Is it really like this for everyone? Does every shot ever filmed on a GH5 have ISO 400 or more?
For v-log you can't go lower than 400 ISO. That's just how they have their settings, photo mode is obviously different because you're having the camera set up to take pictures. You can use different log settings inside the gh5 that will allow for lower ISO than 400 if I'm not mistaken. But the v-log l log that is the closest to a flat profile image with best Dynamic Range only allows 400 ISO & above.
Just wondering. I use VLog and was wondering if ur saturation and noose reduction set at 0?

So what do u do for slow mo? There is no 10 bit VFR options
I shoot it in 4K 8 bit 60fps. If I want any slower than that I take it down to the 1920x1080 and pick a higher FPS rate and just upscale inside the timeline within Premiere Pro CC.

Yes you get mailed an activation code and then instruction on how to install the v-log update.
