Hey suuuperthanks but i have a doubt about the 4k live cropping. ... Can't you get the same result if you do it in post with premiere (or every other software)?
Can you tell me how to use the AF lock. I usually just push and use the push to focus. I did not realize that it had the other function. If you would not mind please elaborate. Thanks
Like any camera, knowing it’s capability and how to use it is revelatory. That is why the GH5 is such an amazing camera despite its sensor size and AF. It literally has more feature rich dynamic capacity than any other camera even twice its price… …
Well I'll admit the 4K crop I did not know about it that's a mind blower. What do you mean by 1080. Is the footage 4K or when you use that it gets downsized to 1080. Please let me know. Thanks.
Because you are recording in 4K, it gives you this ability that output to 1080. The footage is crisp and clean. Now I am imaging that with the new GH6 coming soon, that it will shoot true 6K, and give you 6K Crop Mode that outputs to 4K. That would be a beyond amazing feature… …
@@Superz3ro yeah I’ve been between the GH5 and bmpcc 4K. I have a Sony a6300 that I would probably keep for photo and more run and gun style video so now I am leaning more black magic haha.
@@dericsanchez4081 In the long run, the BMPCC 4K is a rather cumbersome camera. So not as run and gun as say the GH5. Now, as for the a6300, the new GH5II is literally just as good in every way. It competes well in regards to low light, and the AF is not that far off either. Plus, if you know how to use the camera, you will nail focus almost all the time. As a GH5 own, I seriously do not understand the constant bashing of the AF. In my opinion, they just do not know what they are doing. Given what I know the camera can do, I would hands down get a GH5II over any other camera on the market. There is nothing out there that is overwhelming superior. Especially if you are uploading your content online. Nothing comes close when one considers features to price point. Think about it, the 4K Live Crop Mode, is basically a slider effect in camera. You can’t get more run and gun than that… …
Sorry. It’s a reupload from my old channel. Just contents that was popular and people found it useful so I want to leave it here just in case they want to rewatch
Dude, this video had the same EXACT tips from the last video I just watched from “your everyday dad” in the same EXACT order too lol Dude might’ve stole your content!

Yes. It does exactly that

Nice one body!!!
Thank you!
I've been thinking about picking up the GH5 lately but not too sure since I would be coming from a Sony a6300. What made you rebuy the GH5?
@@AndyTran Yeah the GH5 is a straight up beast for sure. I think I might rent it and see how it would fit in my workflow.
yup it's cheap enough to try it out
Pound for pound GH5 is the best deal on the market. Learning and knowing how to use it is a revelation…

The app stinks and does not stay connected. I have vast experience with it and everyone knows it. Hmmmm
There are many many reviews that say the same. It's unusable for the most part.
It works for the most part. Not the best in the world
