newbie photographer a year ago and had a few grand and was deciding between 85 1.2, 50 1.2, and the 24-70 2.8. 70-200 wasn’t even on my radar. not sure what video i saw or what made me even consider checking out the 70-200 especially since it’s the most expensive of the four (at the time and i think 85 might have been more expensive but i digress). either way, at the time i thought the lowest f number or the fastest lens automatically meant better bokeh and better focus. but i learned that’s not always the case. learned about compression. and learned that zoom doesn’t mean “worse than prime” when it comes to portraits. i had a 35 and a 85 macro so it wasn’t my first but it definitely was the first zoom, and i gotta say i thank God I didn’t go with my first instinct which i’m sure many people do. 24-70 is so safe and i would still recommend if you wanna be secure that all your options are covered. but that 70-200 is undefeated if you have enough space and honestly if you aren’t shooting in closets or bedrooms, you can just step back and get everything you need. it’s too good a lens and i think it goes unnoticed too often edit: i have also traded those two macro lenses for a 14-35 f4. i’ll trade that up to the 15-35 f2.8 one day, but for now i didn’t feel like waiting for another bunch of money to get that. but yeah those two lenses cover everything i need and when I get the 15-35, i’ll be complete

why do you send the photos to your phone from camera? Wouldnt you rather post your edited raws?? I cant imagine a jpg edited on your phone would be how youd want to display your work. Why even shoot raw if thats what youre doing?

CRAW has almost no visible differences to RAW and it can double the amount of photos you can fit on an SD card. Highly recommend.
