    What I appreciate is the smaller file size of the crop sensor cameras. Makes a huge difference for storage space.

      Absolutely! I took it to my trip and it was really nice to have the small camera

    Sold my Sony stuff for the Fuji xt5 and I don’t know if I’m crazy but the bokeh and compression did seem nicer on my FF, no regrets though the size of the camera and lenses is worth the trade off

      To have stop is a little bit different because of the crop sensor but if you just match up it correctly then it should look just the same

    I have a crop sensor canon m200 and recently bought a canon 50mm f1.8 STM lens. I wanted to use it for product photography. Would I still be able to take quality pics with it or do I need a full frame? Also, how do we know if a lens is a crop sensor or full frame lens?

    • @AndyTran
      @AndyTran  Год назад

      You can use that camera just fine. The lens manufacture usually has it stated with the letters in front of the lens to tell you if it’s compatible for full frame or crop sensor.

    Unless you’re cropping in significantly on all your pics than you don’t need full frame! Might as well go medium format if you’re really concerned 😅 great vid dude

      Thank you! Yes, i feel like a lot of people don't really need to spend all that money on full frame cameras. I just wanted to give them food for thought.

    1 thing I don’t agree with is aps-c not being used for professional photography. You can print massive prints with full detail using the 40mp xt5 or xh2 and some really high quality portrait prints can be made as well especially if paired with some of the highest quality apsc lenses like the fuji 18 1.4 and the new 56 1.2 wr.
    Even cheap as chips lenses from 3rd party made for aps-c can render very beautiful images like the 2 viltrox pros that came out last year.
    Why not have the same camera for fun and work, right?😊

    It’s like I know I need to start off with APSC because I’ve never used or owned a mirrorless camera before but I still want the full frame for the low light capabilities, bokeh, you don’t have to do lens math 😂

    I have a full frame Pentax and crop sensor Leica and Fuji cams. With the Leica, I can tell a difference for sure between the Pentax and the Leica, but the Leica is also 5+ years old with an older sensor. With the Fuji, I can only tell the difference if it’s really dark. 99% of the time the Fuji and the Pentax are quite comparable. Unless people are blowing up billboard size photos, the FF is not necessary. The Pentax FF is the same price as a new Fuji xpro 3 and other cams so I’d say it would really boil down to what’s needed. The FF will definitely be bigger, a bit heavier, lenses are slightly more expensive, etc but it does have a true mirror and glass OVF. If these things don’t really matter much, can’t go wrong with a mirrorless cam like a Fuji. The lightweight and capabilities outweigh some of the other trade offs. Another huge bonus for mirrorless cameras is no need to be concerned about getting a dusty and dirty mirror that’s a PITA to clean safely. I take the different camera so it depending on what I want to shoot or how I’m feeling. The Fuji xpro 3 is the grab and go take everywhere camera. The Leica TL2 is for when I want to just slow down and enjoy while feeling sexy (lol), and the Pentax is for when things are all business. Great video and content!

    Says the guy who had an R3 and R5 for street photography. I guess you finally learned your lesson. LOL
    On another note; Fuji film has cornered the street photography market as these little guys really perform!

      Lol don't get me wrong. I really do like full frame still. I'm just saying that not a lot of people really need it at the moment. I don't really care for it but who knows in the future right? Lol

    They're not just as good, but they're good enough -- so much so that non-photographers won't see any difference..
