No, it is awfullly integrated. And i can not believe that BMW did this. Idrive 8 has better graphics, but it looks awfull . New c class has better integrated infotainment. I might be getting LCI but, real cockpit feel and design wise idrive 7 was better looking on Pre LCI.
Having just seen that screen today in car I can honestly WOW it’s amazing!! Initially I wasn’t too sure, I thought it might be a distraction, but omg I was wrong. Huge improvement BMW, well done!!!

I actually like the bigger i-drive screen but a BMW never mind performance BMW needs a cockpit. Its just so unnecessary and if visibility is a concern there's always the option of a HUD. It just screams of designers trying to emulate Mercedes party piece.

@@johng81818 the US is not getting the M3 touring and can only be imported after the new 25 year rule. This is not something that can be avoided or "loop-holed" it just is what it is. Now the M340i touring has not been officially confirmed. The US gets the gran-coupe versions but not these touring models.
