Elevate Yourself by a guy called Coach Donny is similar for indoor. Haven't watched him in a while but may be of some use.
Absolute beginner here, just seeing this and looking at technique immediately helped improve control over the ball. Absolute blessing

In my Elementary days, my Coach made me do this 100x per exercise, but we use 3 fingers instead of 2. I did not thought that it would affect my flexibility, I though it was just to make me comfortable with the ball

What do you recommend if the initial hands flat position is as far back as you can go.? Both of my wrists are pretty stiff, especially my right which leads to spinning and double contacts 😅
Focus on letting your fingers be looser as they contact the ball. Let the ball shape your fingers. Release is much more about wrist flexibility like he is saying
