Hi There- Great advice. I have been playing volleyball for almost 30 years. Also professionally. I love it. Where do you guys practice? I would love to watch it! Thanks. Monica
I love volleyball but Im male and live in Texas, I've been wanting to play since elementary. I'm a senior now and I've only gotten to play two games in my life.
I had no idea how much of this i was doing correctly! I’m 13, just started practicing volleyball a few days ago. i have been wanting to play for a very long time! But when i first started wanting to play, my asthma was kicking my but, but now that i have it in order i’ve started playing a LOT more Anyway, i was wondering how do I serve correctly and not go past the line? 😅 I’ve been having some problems with overpowering my serves, and making them go over 30ft in the air and over everyones head and past the line 😂😅
They have some great videos on that but just some personal advice.. #1PRACTICE !!!!!!! Find somewhere to hit your volleyball against like a wall etc and just pick a spot to hit and it will help a lot with just getting a feel for the serve ...
Hahaha loving the fact I Came across this to see about tips to use in my Vollyball class and realizing this is in Hermosa ! Hahah down the street from me and my class. Thanks for the tips, Neighboor! HahHha
We have a lot of errors by missing our serve in the net. A lot of beginner players might not even have the strength to "miss long", but if they try to they will hit it hard enough to clear the net. Also if you focus on having the ball cross closer to the net you have to hit it harder to make it over.
Quick question. When you're playing 6x6, and you're in the setters position (hitters on both sides). Should you face your passer, and then turn towards one of your hitters, or be facing one of your hitters before you get the pass? Thanks, dig the channel!
Hey boys, can you make the intro of the video a bit more quiet? Quite hard to listen to it after your eardrums get ruptured in the first 5 seconds of the video 😅
Hi there, YES! Smaller players can definitely still hit hard! The higher you can reach over the net, the more of a downward angle you can hit the ball at. However, you do not even have to be able to reach over the net at all to put some pace on your swing! If you want to learn more about how you can do this, check out our Attacking Master Class: www.betteratbeach.com/fixyourvolleyballarmswing www.betteratbeach.com/howtospikebeachvolleyball We show you how to get more power, more accuracy, more consistency and more vision as well as the offensive mindset and strategies that win matches! We also show you how to find the offense that’s best for YOU and when to use your different attacks so you can beat specific types of players.
Practice, practice, practice. Keeping that ball in front of you is key based on arm and body mechanics so just practice against a wall and video yourself.
It means don't be afraid to give it everything you've got in a serve. You probably AREN'T going to serve out but if you do, that's a better problem to have then serving right to people. You can always take a step back or change position based on wind, but it's much harder for passers to deal with a deep served ball.
@@betteratbeachvolleyball my coach always says that! So I just aim to get it over no mattter what instead of trying to get it in a certain spot until I’m used to getting my serves controlled, and once I get them controlled I focus on special tricks
