I really like the build videos, the tooling for making the parts, and of course the final models. I’m interested in the hobby, but struggle with how this approach is relevant when 3d printing options are readily available… maybe a one-off is faster using foam, but multiples are faster via 3d printing, and perhaps some of the texturing options are not readily accessible in 3d part creation tools. It could just be that foam crafting is more therapeutic. I’d be very interested in your thoughts on this.
@@stefanvoss6341 Sure, I agree, when you want multiple Copier of a specific build then 3D printing is the way to go. But for me personally, I like to build unique projects and once build move on to a new challeging build. However if you start building from a basic shape ( see my basic block challenge) and build more than one build using the same basic shape, you start exploring the shape and boost your creativity. For me that is very fullfilling. Every build is unique and that for me is the fun part and also a great way to learn and explore. Thanks for your input in this matter.
Hello Gerard, this is really great. Thank you very much for your efforts. I was thinking about building such a nativity (? you said it, but I don't know the right word😅) out of xps for a long time. I think your input is the encouragment I just needed to start for this christmas season. 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
"How did i do that? Interesting, interesting" :)))
Amazing work! maybe you could make a high elfen building with the return of the pointy ears in the old world. with a little obelisk or so.
Ahaha....walking into a DIY store in the UK and asking the staff for adhesive to glue together foam sheets. "I dunno mate. I just work here"
