I have this mixer but it doesn’t quite work well with the Pioneer RMX 1000 Station. The RMX works fine. Whether I come out of the auxiliary or booth to the RMX then back to the mixer via return it just doesn’t sound right. Could there be something wrong with the mixer or something else? Thanks so much.
@@ChristianCalson it was just sounding awful and off. I think it was because I wasn’t using TRS cables. Not sure. Haven’t used the mixer in a while. Using Pioneer DJM V10 LF now.
Is the output level of sends from Model 1 ok for Boss pedals? I see the spec for pedals input is -20dbu, while output of Model 1 is -2dbu to +23dbu. Please let me know I’m thinking to get the pedals, but afraid they’ll blow up
Depends on your budget. I'd avoid Antelope gear that people usually recommend. They only do so because it's one of the cheaper options and seems a lot of their budget goes towards celeb endorsements vs quality gear/service. Antelope gear just feels very cheaply made, their drivers are notoriously bad and unreliable, and support is subpar. Just google them to see how bad they are. Personally I went with Lnyx Aurora (n).
@@yungpepe what? If high end artists have used antelope for the model mixer in clubs... richie, paco, liebing, Luciano. You don’t know what you talking about
I can respect what these guys are doing but their not the only ones and to me takes the essence out of DJing and playing tunes what some producers take time in creating.
Not my cup if tea tbh, pushing boundaries between djing and production within a set, but what's the point? when a producer has spent time making the song? Just seems like a load of effects!
@@tonybucks5709 to my understanding there is nothing digital in the PD Model 1 - so, no, no soundcard no AD conversion, nothing like that. Given that both seem to be running Ableton, it's much more likely they're using LiveLink
Funny to see how they keep touching knobs without actually rotating them, it's just a big fake show with a track playing and some efx. I do this on my own and i no need 2 laptops and all that gear. Clowns.
Didn’t say the set was bad lol. Getting on a plane with those setups is a pain. Unless you fly private jet of course 😁. Then it’s all good. I see more and more djs who used to have a home studio up there on the stage going back to just playing on simple decks now.
T James to some though that is a hassle. Especially with airlines charging extra for luggage now. ☹️ Jus sayin. It’s nice to get on a flight with a couple flash drives and plug in to some cdjs with home cooked tracks. Just noticed a lot of the folks who did this have gone back to decks. But maybe it’s just a cycle bored thing. They will go back to a setup like this after a year or so.
I love the creativity of this setup, but I'm gonna go with a Xone 96 running traktor and abelton and 2 Xone k2. . I can be just as creative as these guys but with only 3-4 wires
i dont like ur video left side just exfects and not finishing anything when the right side start to put faders up and very dark and boring sound for me
If this was me an another person, I would’ve been throwing hands after a few minutes of jumbling over the controls. No bro, cut the mids, what are you doing, move your hand, dude stay on your side, I’m not telling you again. 😅
Didn't really enjoy it lads. The whole thing felt overcrowded, tracks didn't really have room to breathe. Lots of concurrent stuff on 16th notes made me anxious.
What a mess!!! Pure great mixer! 6 channels for what? To create one song with 6 channels? So you need another mixer to mix with with your 6 channels song ? Damn! 😖
@@Eagledark117 i pretty sure dont have any, but any idea of djing dude! building and producing a song is one thing and another is MIXING! f**** morron!
Mixing 2 tracks together that requires ZERO beat matching is like amateur shit that literally anyone could do with no experience. Blech. I learned on vinyl and fuck any modern gear that beat matches for me. Your setup requires even less understanding than that there literally is NO beat matching required. How is this a performance. Anyone can do it. Just turn knobs and wala. Sorri I'm a dick I know I am just can't stomach modern DJing, the art and skill involved is gone.
The sound on that thing is MASSIVE!!!!!
Awesome lads!
I have a similar setup but I use a Xone db2, 2x Kaoss pads, mc303 and DeepMind 12d w/sometimes Ableton or Reaper.
I'm really digging the setup but too many wires for me. If only the Model 1 had an audio interface inside
Great performance guys! How do you sync 2 Traktors on 2 different computers?
In regards to the BPM? As explained they each have half of the mixer so they essentially have freedom yo control each part independently
nice Setup Bro!
My Push has been collecting dust for 4 years. Now I see a good purpose for it!
So cool
Hi plz guide me.how have u connected rca to interface . Which interface and how many trs going in there
guys what Controller u need for traktor to use 4 decks with model 1 ?

Way more options than a spinning record. You can really taylor the performance to the crowd. Question can you hook in like electric guitar?
connect it using an active DI box.. u get a line level out
Yes, if you want to route it through an Audio interface and Ableton.
What’s the best sound card for model 1
doesn't it comes with a soundcard? or why would you need one?

you can map a sequencer and a drum rack and effects
100 percent analog with nothing but usb sources

Adding subtracting effects or builds etc. Not extremely dificult.
Haters gonna hate….
The Model 1 mixer was made to make something that does not sound familiar and add your own flavor.
To me this is DJing while adding an essence of producing. Much harder than just mixing tubes together
What is the name of all the equipment you use beside the ableton launchpad and the mixer
How can I connect Traktor with Model 1? Should I use an Audio 6? I'd like to use 4 channels in Traktor + Maschine MK II
Yes or any audio interface, then use traktor to send midi clock to maschine and there you go, you willl only be able to use 3 channels with audio 6
Sandor Vennink you dont need an audio interface for maschine mk3 has one built in
I'm using Maschine MK II
Thanks
you need a midi cable tho to send midi from traktor to maschine
Pure mess! Would’t want anybody near me, when I’m mixing, let alone second pair of hands tangling around controls.
Uauuu its nice the croos-fader??

I have the same opinion. When I play I don’t use effects. Sometimes minimal but that’s it. When a track is good, keep it just like it is🤷♂️

how many music styles is this usefull other than techno? coz i cant think any.
and in techno, nobody cant say when one track ends and another begins. at least for 26 years ive been listen it
deep house probably can and electronic like deadmou5 style
I don't know, its kind of the same setup than richie and dubfire

so?
